I started out not liking this book, but by the end of the book I fell in love with it. It is not my favorite of Sarah's books but it is pretty close. I think my feelings in the beginning of the book were thrown by the way it sort of jumped into the whole Vegas one night stand thing. It was the same old Vegas song and dance and I was almost bored with it. But! I stuck with it because I love her books and knew without a shadow of a doubt that her story would not end up being like everyone else's. I am so glad I did. After about 1/4 of the way through, things really took a turn and the twist was revealed. Boy was it a twist. The story then got so intense and exciting, that I was on the edge of my seat flipping page after page engrossed in the story. Nothing else matter but the end game.
The end game was a nice one. It was dangerous and sweet. I did wish there was a tad bit more action in the end game, but this is not a thriller it is a romance. ;) So I will be happy with it. :) I fell in love with the characters. Arcadia is a sweet girl who has led a life with blinders on. Xavier is a sexy protective alpha male. His name is the perfect name for him since his role in this story seems to be that of a savoir. Xavier the savoir. hee hee. This story is a deep intense read that will grab your attention. So you better hold on tight.
I was unsure of this book in the very beginning, but it did not take me long to get me hooked. Once I was hooked, I was unable to put it down. I really loved Arcadia and thought Xavier was perfect for her. Their was some intense, heart pounding moments, with some steamy passion, twists and turns. I would highly recommend this book.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review
From private plane ride I skimmed to epilogue because it was such a predictable book I knew I wouldn’t be missing anything. This book was a total bore.
DNF 50% I'm unsure as to why all of the 5 star reviews because I tried, I really did but could only make it half way through. As soon as they continued to call their private parts by nicknames it did me in, that and the continued talk of how big his penis is was a massive turn off for me. The story was a little far fetched and both characters a lot annoying.
Arcadia is in Las Vegas on a dad- daughter holiday but, of course, he's not turned up to meet her for dinner nor bought the tickets to see the show that he's promised her. So this feisty 29 year old young woman goes to play in the casino and it there that she attracts the attention of billionaire playboy Xavier Dean who is on a stag do weekend for his friend and got bored. When he sets eyes on Arcadia, he and all the other males in the room are focused entirely on her. He's just looking for a one night stand but she's no push over and he has to use all his charm to even get her to have a drink with him. Whilst there is sizzling attraction between the two of them that is almost combustible she refuses to just go to bed with him. In fact, she gets him to do somethings that he has never done before! One of them being getting a tattoo of her name in a pretty font on his bicep whilst she gets one on her ankle [because he refuses to let the touchy tattoo artist touch her thigh] with an adorable dolphin which is close to her heart and her masters degree. One thing leads to another and with too much drink in both of them, they end up getting married to each other but they both think it's just for the one night! But things always don't go as planned and soon they find themselves in hiding and still happily married to each other. I'm not giving any spoilers as this is way too good a story told by Sarah J. Brooks in her inimitable way which shows why she is one of the USA's top best selling authors. Beautifully written and prepare to fall in love with Xavier [don't call him X] and Arcadia and let the bad guys get their just 'reward'. A wonderful story that I will be re-reading in the future as it is just so good and a fantastic unique storyline. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. Get your own copy now – definitely recommended!!
Arcadia is on a trip to Vegas with her father but when he disappears she goes gambling. When Xavier sees Arcadia for the first time she erases all thoughts from his mind and gets his complete focus. Unable to stop himself he joins her at the tables and flirts with her trying to figure her out. When she loses he manages to get her to have a drink with him. What Xavier didn't count on was the whirlwind she would sweep him up in. Arcadia never has a lasting relationship because of her father and his connections to the mob so when she sees who is flirting with her she tries not to go all fangirl on Xavier. Arcadia leads Xavier on wild trip which ends with them getting married. Waking up the next day Xavier can't find his bride or his clothes. Will Xavier find his runaway bride? Can Arcadia see a future with Xavier?
This was an amazing story once I started nothing could draw my focus away. The chemistry between Xavier and Arcadia is steamy hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy.
i read this book as part of an arc program. I really enjoyed this story about A young woman named Arcadia who is in Las Vegas with her father and meets Xavier, a famous fashion designer and they have a drunken night that ends in marriage. When Xavier sees Arcadia, he wants her, but he doesn't do relationships, he is a one night stand kind of guy and Arcadia tells him he has to marry her in order to sleep with her. Xavier thinks he will and then just have the marriage annulled, but in the morning Arcadia is gone. Xavier sets out to find her. Arcadia received messaged from her angry father and she knows she is in trouble with him and his business associates, so she flees for her safety. Arcadia knows she has to leave in order to live and to keep Xavier safe, only she didn't count on Xavier finding her and helping her. The longer Arcadia and Xavier are in hiding, the more their feelings grow. I really enjoyed this book and thought Xavier and Arcadia had a great connection. I loved how protective Xavier was and how he gave up so much to help her. I couldn't put this book down, well done.
All in all this was a fairly fast read. Our Hero, Xavier Dean, is a handsome, well known designer, who happens to be in Vegas for his good friend's bachelor party. He's tired of all the wild antics and goes off on his own to have a drink when he sees our heroine, Arcadia, in the same casino. The story is told from a dual POV so we learn that Arcadia has led a fairly sheltered life so she's more than ready for a little adventure with Xavier. Xavier, on the other hand, is trying for a little anonymity, away from the spotlight he's always under. I thought his willingness to get a tattoo and get married was a little out of character for him, but he was clearly smitten with Arcadia's youthful attitude and laughter.
Fearing for her safety, Arcadia leaves Xavier the next morning before he wakes up. He uses common sense sleuthing to eventually find her. The subsequent adventure enables them to really get to know one another, and we get to witness Xavier's romantic and also playful side since they're spending so much time together. Without giving anything away, there were some details that were glossed over which made the story a bit far fetched, but still a fun read.
This is one of those stories where what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay in Vegas. The chemistry between the two is undeniable. I enjoyed the suspense in this book and you can’t help but cheer them on. Arcadia needs a savior and a hero and she finds that in Xavier Dean. Arcadia is in Vegas for a trip with her father but when his business meeting runs longer than planned and he stands her up for their show and dInner Arcadia decides she is going to have her own fun in Vegas. Xavier Dean is a famous men’s clothing designer and he is in Vegas for his best friend’s bachelor party. When the party doesn’t hold his interest he goes back to his hotel. Waking up the next morning to find not only does he have a tattoo with the name Arcadia on his arm but he has a wedding band on his finger. The only problem is his wife is not there and he doesn’t know what happened to her but he’s worried she is in trouble. Can a drunken night in Vegas become so much more? I received a Arc copy of this book and am volunteering to leave a review.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Xavier is a wealthy fashion designer in Vegas for a bachelor party. Lucky for him he got bored and head to the casino where he is drawn to Arcadia. Using his charm he gets her to agree to a drink which then leads to tattoos. Knowing he only wants in her pants, she tells him the only way she will sleep with him is if they get married. The next morning she wakes to find a text from her Dad informing her they were coming to get her and she had been given to his friend as part of a business deal. Arcadia flips, steals Xavier’s clothes as a disguise, withdraws all her money from the cash machine and runs to Costa Rica. She sure as hell isn’t anyone’s possession but that also means leaving Xavier behind which makes her sad. She takes the marriage license with her so she can change her name to hide from her Dad. This is a thrilling love story with a brilliant happy ending. I really enjoyed this one.
While in Vegas for his friend’s bachelor party, Xavier spies quite a figure at the craps table. Arcadia is biding her time at the craps table after her father stands her up. Xavier puts the moves on and the two of them get seriously drunk. Arcadia won’t get intimate with him unless his marries her, so he does. After reading her father’s texts the next morning, she realizes that he has some nefarious plans for her and she knows she needs to disappear. Xavier has very unfamiliar feelings for her and doesn’t want to annul their marriage, however she is gone in the morning and he has to hunt her down and find her before her father. The story catches you from the beginning to the end. Very interesting read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

Arcadia and Xavier have a wild night in Vegas of drinking and sex and getting married! Xavier has fallen for her as soon as he saw her leaning over the Craps table in a hot dress. Arcadia doesn't want to just sleep with him without being married so they go to a drive-thru chapel to marry. The intention is to only stay married for the one night, but when Arcadia leaves him in the morning, he becomes intrigued by her mysterious disappearance and wants to find her to see why she left. As time goes on, they spend more time together and try to figure out what they want from each other and whether an annulment is it. The conclusion to the book was final, there were no mysteries unsolved, and it included a HEA.

I really enjoyed this book! What starts out seeming like another one night stand quickly becomes so much more. Xavier needs to learn to lighten up a bit, he is very work oriented and selfish (he admits this himself). Arcadia has lived a somewhat sheltered life, going to school and working for one of her father's businesses. When they meet, both are drunk, and soon one thing leads to another and they end up married. Although it was only supposed to be for a night, events soon take place that lead them on the adventure of a lifetime. This book has two amazing main characters that you will simply fall in love with. It has a great story line, with some twists you surely won't see coming! There is also a lot of humor and steamy passion. You won't want to miss this amazing story!
Wild and hot Vegas night leads to more steam and suspense
One Night Bride by Sarah J. Brooks is not just a Vegas tale. Xavier and Aracadia, upon meeting, instantly connect. While they end up embarking on a journey, these two get to know one another and fall in love. Sarah brings the heat with these two characters and drives the suspense and danger with Arcadia's backstory. I just love when these billionaire arrogant hotties fall! Xavier is no exception as he consistently insists he has no desire for relationships, connections or intimacy. Arcadia puts an end to all that with her genuine sweetness and behind closed doors naughtiness. Overall, I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Xavier and Arcadia's HEA in paradise sounds really good to me.
Arcadia is "a surfer chic working on a master's degree in marine biology", came to Las Vegas for a father daughter trip. She found herself alone at the gambling tables because of meetings her father had. Xavier is a famous fashion designer who is in Las Vegas for a best friends bachelor party. Arcadia and Xavier have a night of drinking, getting tattoos, and getting married. In the morning Arcadia is on the run from a business deal her father made that included her. Xavier needs to find Arcadia because he knows she is in trouble and he felt good to be with her. Who will find Arcadia first? And if Xavier does, will he know that this is the love he has been looking for? Always love Sarah J Brooks's books and look forward to her next one.
Arcadia is caught off guard with her one night stand and subsequent drunken quickie marriage to billionaire designer Xavier. She’s dealt another blow when she finds that her father has sold her into slavery to fund one of his business ventures. Scared and alone, she runs.
Xavier is also caught off guard. A master of one night stands after the live of his life dies tragically, he does everything to avois meaningful relationships. He doesn’t know why he pursues Arcadia when she flees, but soon realizes his feeling run deeper than they ever did with his late love Lauren..
Lots of graphic love scenes between this couple as they rely on each other to elude the evil that is her father.

Xavier is in Las Vegas for his best friend’s bachelor party/weekend, and bored with the festivities stumbles across Arcadia bent over a craps table. He is mesmerized by her tush and decides she has to be his for the night. Drunken revelry ensues and Arcadia leads him on an adventure he’s not exactly sure about. The next morning she’s gone and Xavier decides to pursue his missing wife.
The story has some suspenseful elements, but not enough to detract from the romance. Other than Arcadia running away fairly early in the story, there really wasn’t any of the typical romance angst. I enjoyed the book, but I didn’t fall in love with it.

What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Not when your one night bride disappears, and you aren’t willing to let her go just yet. This is a very entertaining story about Xavier Dean, a hot, sexy billionaire fashion designer, who has met his match in Arcadia Jones, a sweet, quirky surfer/marine biologist.
There’s plenty of hot, steamy passion, but also a lot of fun between Xavier and Arcadia while they explore their blossoming relationship. There’s also an element of danger from Arcadia’s father, a mob connected guy, who has bartered her as part of one of his illicit deals.
This is an engaging tale with strong, interesting characters. The story is fast-paced and will keep you involved from beginning to end. I highly recommend this very enjoyable read!
Another amazing book from Sarah. I love Xavier and Arcadia together. One crazy night in Vegas and lives are changed forever. Arcadia running from her corrupt father and Xavier wondering what happened to her. As the saying goes what happens in befas stays in Vegas, right? Well not so much. Arcadia has found out what her father had planned for her and she has to run and leave her one night behind, but she’s finding it hard to do. Will Xavier find her and get the answers from her? Will their arrangement stand as is? What will happen if her father gets to her first? So much fun, sexiness, deliciously hot scenes and suspense rolled in. You will not be able to put this one down ladies, grabbit now!
Unusual storyline captured my interest and held it thru all the chapters. Arcadia and Xavier were perfectly written for each other and I'm glad her father didn't have a bigger role than he did as I feel it would have disrupted the tempo of the story. This really was a role reversal story in that Arcadia was depicted in a traditional male role and Xavier in a female role. I liked that. I'm highly recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment. This is a great book to take on vacation for chilling and/or sunbathing. (Note: I was provided an Advanced Review Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)
This is the story of Arcadia and Xavier. They meet one night in Vegas. Neither of them were looking for love but got drunk and married at a wedding chapel. They had instant sexual chemistry and their lovemaking was intense. The way they reacted to each other was as if they were soulmates. Xavier is very rich, handsome and sexy. He is a take control guy. There are lots of surprises throughout the story. The characters come to life and you will feel their emotions. There is a HEA. This author is skilled at wrapping up her stories with great epilogues. I don't want to give anything away and recommend this romance book 100%.
Arcadia and Xavier are Viva La HEA! The old and well known tale of Vegas lives as Arcadia and Xavier spend a hot and heavy night in Sin City. But waking up the next morning when clearer heads dawn it becomes clear they not only did the the horizontal mambo but also the aisle shuffle. With his new bride having pulled a runner, Xavier gets a feeling that not all is right in Denmark. Arcadia father has her promised to another man but her drunken marriage could put a damper on daddy’s plans. Arcadia and Xavier already went to chapel, but are they gonna stay married?

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This book is not your typical billionaire romance. It's so much more with the sweetest HEA ending. Xavier is in Vegas for his friends bachelor party. He's not in the mood for strippers so he heads to the casino looking for someone to keep him company for the night. Arcadia is in Vegas with her dad but he gets caught up with business. So when she runs into famous fashion designer Xavier Dean she decides they need a fun night out. I don't want to give any spoilers for this book. There are a few unexpected things that make this book so amazing. Definitely a great read to recommend.
I absolutely loved this story!! Kept my interest throughout! Well written!! Another amazing marvelous story written by Sarah!! I highly recommend!
Xavier and Arcadia ~ instant sexual chemistry, meet in Vegas where they drink, she won't have sex unless they are married
"Is for Vegas and one-night stands. A one-day marriage is more. Let us be more... if only just tonight."
"Xavier wasn't most likely going to be that love but I made sure for tonight, he was. I didn't want a Vegas thing; I didn't want to leave some debaucherous remnant of me behind, I wanted one night married to the man of my dreams."
This story was so well written. It started out as a drunken night of wild passion between Xavier Dean a fashion designer and Arcadia Jones a biologist student that turned into a adventure with explosive passion that turned both of them inside out. Arcadia wakes up in Xavier's bed with the drunken memories of drinking too much alcohol, a tattoo and a wedding ring. Arcadia flees for her life. Xavier tries to discover why she ran from his bed. As their lives become a disaster of events after all the efforts of her father who is aligned with the mob, and tried to deliver his daughter as payment. Read the adventures that follow. I highly recommend read.
This is a highly entertaining and well written story. The start to this romance began with marriage and then ended up with a second wedding. The entire cast of characters are well done in the roles they are playing. It is easy to feel like the reader is right there in the story line with the characters. There were enough elements, romance, drama, intrigue, within the story to command the reader's attention. Well worth the time spent immersing yourself in this novel.
A highly recommended great read.
