La Risposta: The Answer by Autumn Macarthur is a wonderful contemporary Christian family novel and a perfect ending to A Tuscan Legacy series. This has been a fabulous series. A collaboration of nine books by different authors, giving individual stories of the characters in an extended family. It has been an absolute delight to read.
The book is warm and welcoming. The mystery running throughout the series is solved. Clues have been peppered throughout all the books. As the family comes together for a wedding so the series has come full circle. It had a familiar feel as I caught up with old friends.
There are themes of truth and lies, faith and forgiveness, foundations and identity - and over it all is the love of God. The novel reminds us to tune into God's voice and to be obedient. "A stirring very like the voice of God, calling him home. An insistent whisper no longer able to be denied." We must not ignore God when he speaks.
God longs to welcome the prodigals home. He is in the business of restoration. He will repair and restore lives.
"Family and love were the only wealth worth having." Wealth and power mean nothing if we don't have love. A reminder of this is in 1 Corinthians: 13.
God hears our prayers. "Perhaps God would hear her words when He seemed deaf to his." Just because God does not answer in a way we think He should doesn't mean unheard or un answered prayer.
We are hardest on ourselves. "As Dio forgives us when we confess, we must also forgive ourselves. This... it is not so easy." Forgiveness brings freedom. If God has forgiven us, why should we then become our own jailer?
A name change signifies a character change.
This has been a wonderful series that has warmed my heart. What will I now do as the series has ended and I have been forced to bid my friends goodbye?
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

La Risposta by Autumn MacArthur
A story of forgiveness and reconciliation
My rating is 4.5 stars

Resentment and unforgiveness caused a seemingly unassailable wall between Teresa and Albertino despite, or perhaps because of 34 years of marriage. Each one had believed lies about the other and instead of talking things through, they allowed their wounds to fester.

La Rispota is such a tender and sensitive story. As Teresa and Albertino head to Italy to face the past they had hidden from, each one suspects it to be the end of their marriage. A marriage conceived through death, lies, and deception.

I was filled with a sense of melancholy as the book began and felt such empathy for the characters. Teresa’s unrequited love for her husband had caused her such pain, yet she continued to love him and stand by his side. As the details of the story unfolded, I was alternately hopeful and hurting.

Author Autumn MacArthur did a tremendous job of capturing my interest and retaining it throughout this beautiful story. Learning to forgive. Learning to communicate and trust. Learning the truth. And learning to seek the God who can give hope to the hopeless and restore the years the locust has eaten. That is the journey of this story.

The Tuscan Legacy series is a multi-author series about an Italian family. There is a common thread that ties the books together which comes to a conclusion in La Risposta. Each stands alone, yet interacts with the others as well. Though I have other books in the series, time has not allowed me to read any of them yet. It was obvious that there were backstories that I didn’t know, yet I didn’t feel like I was lost in reading this one.

Sweet New Series

Oh, I love this new series of books. From the first book in the series to the last, I was captured and taken to many places with many wonderful events. Yet the best part of this series is that it is about an Italian family, and I'm part Italian, this book had me wanting to research my heritage.
I LOVED all the imagines and flavors of this book. It really brought Italy and all the family traditions to life. If you enjoy good clean stories and LOVE Italian life and flair, you'll love this book. Autumn Macarthur Is a wonderful author and gifted writer.
In this book, which is the last of the series, we get many answers to some of the mysteries throughout the series. As well as seeing how God can help heal old wounds and make wrongs, turn right. Forgiveness was a big part of this story and an important lesson we all need to learn.
I really appreciated how this author presented her characters with issues. Yet, only through the strength, mercy, forgiveness, and love of God could they find healing.
Now that the series is over, I'm not sure what I'll do! I truly was blessed by this collection of stories and by the many different authors. I'll be watching for more from them! Wonderful series!

Satisfying conclusion to the series. While I suspected that Rachel might be the key to the mystery, the resolution to this series came as a shock. Autumn Macarthur weaves a story of forgiveness with believable down to earth characters, a twist and turn plot, lessons of faith, love, and restoration, plus a satisfying conclusion into an inspiring story. The grandmother was my favorite. The international settings in this series had this avid reader traveling the world. This series is more than just romances of the eight grandchildren, it is about a family forgiving the past and coming together with the intrigue of 8 mysterious paintings containing an expensive blue paint. My favorite summer series.

In La Risposta, we meet Albertino and Teresa, and mystery of the paintings is solved. Albertino realizes that he loves Teresa, and he'd like for things to work out for them. Teresa finds out just what Albertino thought of her when they married, and why things were as they were in their marriage. Now, she's ready for things to be over, as she's letting go of hope that things can be better. When they both start praying that will God show them what He wants from each of them, and when they finally open their hearts up with and for forgiveness, they realize that what they both want is really the same thing, and they can find happiness together. Forgiveness from each for each, and for themselves, opens them up for the blessings God has wanted to give them all along.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book--possibly my favorite in this series. Albertino and Teresa lived a marriage of deception, which created bitterness and isolation. And 1 day they finally decide to face the truth. This book is about forgiveness, and what a book! As Ms. Macarthur writes, "True forgiveness is the only way to make the love-honour-and-cherish part last a lifetime." And "Where anger, resentment, and blame live, love can't. Just as surrender is the key to true freedom, forgiveness is the key to truly loving." So true! And as the characters in La Risposta journey on the path to forgiveness, it is quite a powerful truth. I highly recommend this series and this book!

I was right! That's all I'm going to say. I have been waiting for this book for awhile, and it did not disappoint. I adored it. While not my absolute favorite of the series (that would be book 8, also by this author), this was so great. Throughout the series, I have felt like the characters are real people, people I could meet one day. And the characters that are the most real to me were written by Ms. Macarthur. I highly recommend this book. But be sure to take the time to read the entire series; you won't regret it.

Liked it alot. The whole story tells us the importance of love and forgiveness in our life. This story highlights the life of Albertino an artist. His wife Terasa is a good wife. But they had a dull and hard life. Each one believed the lies about other. After 34 years of loveless marriage , they found the truth ,then begin to understand each other and found love. The whole story explains the reunion of Rossi's family.
La Risposta comprises a beautiful conclusion to the Tuscan Legacy series. Really enjoyed it.

Book 9- La Risposta: The Answer was a wild ride of secrets unveiled and past hurts forgiven. This story answers the questions from the prior books in the series and wraps things up nicely.

I really enjoyed the growth of the characters and the legacy of Rossi family. I admired their family closeness, their ability to show their love and their immense ability to forgive. I felt their pain and their relief when things were finally put to rest. An awesome series and highly recommended.

I received this book as a gift.

I was right!

And that is all I will say. I have been waiting for this book for awhile and it did not disappoint. I adored it. While not my absolute favorite of the series (ahem, book 8, also by Autumn Macarthur), this was so great! Throughout the series I have felt like these characters were actual people, and none more so than this author's. I highly recommend this book. But take the time to read the whole series before this one. You won't regret it.

When Peppe tells Teresa that he is going to Tuscany she is shocked. Returning to Villa Rossi is going to be a big decision he may regret. Isabella Rossi is truly shocked when she recognized who Peppe is. The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. You will feel God working throughout this whole story. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

La Risposta brought the series to a satisfying conclusion. The mystery of the paintings was solved in a surprising way. The theme of forgiveness was well done and so needed by all of us. We’re all so easily offended today and yet we live without much thought to how our actions can offend others and have such long lasting repercussions. This book reminds us how important forgiveness is to all involved.

Great

The theme of this book is so needed; it spoke to my heart in many different ways. It is a great "wrap up" for the series. It answers the mystery/question left hanging in all the other books. It also spoke to me of my heart and past and relationships. Things that were hidden but affecting life now. Forgiveness, honesty, speaking up, no secrets, all a healing journey, wrapped up in a great story. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book even though this is the only one in the series I have read - so far. It was so good I want to read some of the others. A story of forgiveness and extending grace to others. 34 years is a long time to be resentful and it is a long time to stay with someone who doesn't love you. I wanted to scream WHY don't you just talk ??????!!!!! Teresa and Beppe are a couple that proves that anything is possible and that it is never too late.

Fantastic story

This is a fantastic, mystery-ending last book of the series.
Although the 1st pages repeated what was learned in previous stories, the rest of the story is full mystery reveals, forgiveness, seeking forgiveness & ending in family love.
The author did a fantastic job of concluding 9 books (counting Maggie's story) & the mystery that is artfully woven through each story.
The wedding scene is beautiful & clearly describes love in its several forms.

Wonderful International Series

I hate having this series end. Having been to Wales, Italy, Australia, and England, I loved revisiting them in these books. And the Rossi extended family. I definitely had my favorites, but going on their journeys of a deeper relationship with God, forgiveness, and finding love, was wonderful. Please write more international books!!!

The answer to part of the mystery starts us out with this one. Draws you in with one mystery, but others are soon to be revealed. We are brought back to Villa Rossi for Rafeale and Jayne’s wedding. All the grandchildren and significant others are present. A wonderful conclusion to the series, and one I will miss.

Wow, what a twist! I don't want to give anything away, but this was another beautiful story about forgiveness and the importance of communication. Along with Teresa and Pepe's story we have the wedding of Rafaele and Jayne, which was beautiful and so sweet. I haven't read the whole series, yet, but have enjoyed what I have read and this book did a great job bringing it all together.

I'd been looking forward to this wrap-up of the series, and WOW! It was not at all what I expected! The "answer" was completely out of anything I would have thought up. Macarthur does a great job of tying up all the loose ends from all the previous books. If you haven't read any of the others in the series, you definitely want to read those first.

It's always hard to reach the end of a series but we find lots of loose ends tied up in book 9. Some questions are answered that we didn't know were questions. A fitting in to a great series.

A wonderful conclusion

I didn’t anticipate how the author would tie up the loose ends of the paintings. I loved the story of forgiveness and the freedom it brings. This book was worth the wait—well-written and edited.

What a lovely story about forgiveness and faith in God. Both Albertino and Teresa had a lot of secrets to work through before their true love for each other was realised
