I love this stuff. And I love Joseph Lowin's writing - clear, entertaining, and instructive. I learned a lot of Hebrew words and phrases!

Anyone with an interest in etymology of Hebrew words - or languages in general - should read this book. It's a collection of columns, a very entertaining read! I picked it up at a garage sale many years ago and still dip into it.
