President of one of the most powerful MC's on the West Coast and in a relationship with a gorgeous Latina that's so hot she could melt steel, Wolf thought he had everything he ever wanted. But when a bullet rips through his window, striking the man that just put a bullet in his chest, his reality drastically changes, and nothing will ever be the same again. Sabrina is still a teenager, but she's already been abandoned by her father, raped and abused by a man she thought she could trust...and “witness” to a murder. Now she's on a mission to find the brother she only recently discovered she had because with her mother in jail for murder, he's the only person in the world she has to turn to. The only problem with her plan is that her brother is an outlaw, the president of an MC, and has no idea that his little sister, the one he never knew existed, is about to show up on his doorstep. Wolf thought he had it all together, but suddenly he doesn't know who he can trust. While a relationship with Dax Marshall and the Southside Skulls and Jacob “The Lion” Wright and his MMA club out of Vegas both loom in the near future, someone lurks in the shadows and wants nothing more than to see his empire crumble...preferably with Wolf getting crushed underneath it. And, while he scrambles to figure out who wants him dead...and stay alive in the process, Sabrina tries to come to terms with her own recent past. More drama develops in the midst of it all when she finds herself falling for Wolf's sergeant-at-arms, and that might just be her most dangerous endeavor yet. Come along and let us introduce you to the West Coast counterpart to the Boston Southside Skulls. Wolf Lee might not be as cool and sophisticated as Dax Marshall...but when it comes to club business, protecting his family and loving his woman, he'll give Dax a run for his money.
Book 1 in the Westside Skulls MC Series. This is a Standalone Romance Novel but characters from this story, will appear in future books in the series. HEA and No cliffhanger. Intended for Mature Readers. * * * The Westside Skulls MC Series is about members of the MC club, their friends and associates. Each story, while focused around one main character, is not necessarily about a Westside Skulls club member, but the story is related to Skulls members and the club.
Short but good. This is the first book of the Westside Skulls MC. Still the same series and a few of the same people. Wolf is the president and he is probably a great president but he is no Dax. Maybe he can learn a few things from Dax...lol. Their club is much smaller but he hasn't been in charge as long as Dax has been and he has a lot of problems he was left with after his Dad died. More problems than he even knew about.
Let's see how this club can handle things when the pressure is on.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
If you are in the mood for a great MC romance novel then you really have to go get this book. This is the introduction to Wolf the president of the Westside Skulls who finds himself being attacked by people trying to kill him while learning about a surprise family member at the same time. As if dealing with that is not enough he also gets injured right before learning an unpleasant surprise that will change his life as he knows. All leading us to explosive ending that shows what happens when you mess with the man in charge. I am so looking forward to the next installment to see what happens to Wolf next and I was loving the cameos by the Southside Skulls members tying the series together though this can be read just fine without reading the previous series. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.
What a start to a new series for Jessie Cooke. This author has had me hooked since the first book in her Southside Skulls MC and I have been on the lookout for more all the time. This story had me hooked and flipping the pages. Now this romance doesn't have the romance and build up of a romantic relationship between the two main characters but...this is a prequel and I have a feeling this is definitely the background that we will need for Wolf's story that is coming shortly.
In this book Wolf has an old lady and someone is set out to kill him. We get to see the progression of everything that is happening and how he becomes who he does at the end. We also get introduced to a sister he never knew he had and what all is going on right now in her life. We get to see a hit of a budding romance that isn't going to be an easy one and I was left looking forward to more.
I can't wait for the next in this series. I just know it is going to be another don't miss series.
Oh my lord... I'm about to go insane... Insane I tell ya. Wanna know why? Because one of my favorite authors has a new series coming out and guess what? It's an MC... MC... My weakness... Jessie Cooke is my goddess when it comes to MC books... She knows what she's doing and take no prisoners. Lol Her writing is hot and wild, dark, intense and overwhelming. Each book... Oh boy... Each book will grab your attention. Trust me. Wolf is the prequel to the new Westside Skulls MC and just look at the cover... Just look at it... This book tells the stories of Wolf and Sabrina. Wolf is the President of the Westside Skulls MC that lives and loves his club. When someone tried to kill him things gave a turn for the worst. Or wasn't it? Sabrina had endured so much pain that she just wants to get away. She was abused and neglected and her only hope is to find her brother and try to be safe and happy. Dayum... If the prequel was like this I can't even imagine what's about to come... Dayum... It's awesome. The plot is amazing, very well written, super engaging, intense and dark. Each chapter was intense and breathtaking. One minute I was thinking one thing and then bamm, it gave a 360º turn... Jeez... What a book. There were parts of the story that I saw myself living it and falling in love with the characters but then this author had other ideas and left me wanting to kill someone. The drama, betrayal, crime and punishment are well present as well as love desire and loyalty. Oh Jessie... This new series started perfectly and I'm so happy to keep getting tag from Dax and the other Southside Skulls. I can't wait to start the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
**Happy dance**. I got to start a new/spin-off series to the Southside Skulls! This book introduces you to some of the key players of the Westside Skulls, but mainly centers around Wolf, Amara and Sabrina. Wolf is the new President of the Westside Skulls being that his father Coyote, died. He has a “good” woman, Amara on his arm and life is perfect, until it wasn’t. He is shot while having sex with his wife/old lady. When he starts digging for answers he doesn’t like what he is finding and then throw Sabrina into the mix and you are in for a sh*t storm.
Sabrina comes with her own set of problems. Her mother is in jail for murder and she shows up at the MC compound claiming that Wolf is her brother. She develops a little crush on Bruf, the SA for the club, but she is only 19 and off limits.
I can’t believe this was only a prequel- I can’t wait for Wolf’s story! Will he finally get his HEA?
I love a book about a motorcycle club and this one did not disappoint. This story follows Wolf, the president of the westside skulls motorcycle club, as he investigates who tried to kill him in his own home.
I understand that this book was a “prequel,”but I felt like it wasn’t a complete story. It just ended and left me wanting more. This was my first Jessie Cooke book, and I discovered she has a whole other series about a motorcycle club which I will definitely check out.
Yay, yay, yay a brand new series that's a spin-off to the Southside Skulls. I believe these Westside Skulls mentioned towards the end of Ryder's book, if I remember correctly.
I will say this, this book has a lot going on in it. And it really deals with two different people in this book. It deals with Wolf and his new found sister Sabrina. We really just get to know these two and their stories in this book.
I really really liked Wolf. He's a bit different to Dax Marshall. He seem's a bit rougher around the edges. And now he's dealing with someone trying to take him out. But he doesn't want to believe that its someone close to him.
Sabrina was kind of confusing. With everything that she's been through she kind of acted a bit entitled. She also seemed to hold a lot of old anger towards her and Wolf's dad, though I do believe it was warrented. But I did also really like her at times also.
I thought that this was a really enjoyable start to a new series. I thought that the characters were enjoyable. I also really liked other members of the Westside Skulls. I will say this though there was a question about a mole in the club and it was never really brought up again. I'm hoping in the next book that the question is answered. Other than that I enjoyed it.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!!
***I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion***
A good MC novel. Wolf is a good novel. This book is a quick read, but has plenty of action. This story has a lot of heat and action, but I was missing the romance that I normally find in these novels. If you like a story with a lot of action and heat then this book will be for you. I liked the idea of this book. The president of an MC finds out that he has a long lost sister. Add in the drama of his own club’s life and I knew there would be plenty of action. I actually really liked this plot. I wanted to see where it would go. With that being said, I was disappointed in the ending. I expected a little more and was disappointed in what I was given. I did enjoy the book though. The characters in this book are dynamic. Instead of only having two main characters, I felt there were really three. Sabrina was a breath of fresh air. She added lightness to this story that it needed. That is big considering the story she has hiding behind her eyes. Then you have the MC president, Wolf. He is such a strong character with many layers. I really liked his character and I liked how he responded to Sabrina, his long lost sister. Then you have Bruf. I knew I was going to like him when we first meet him. He is strong and loyal which is amazing. I liked his interactions with the others, especially Sabrina. The heat in this book is high. I actually felt at times it was a bit much. With that being said, it was good. The author did a good job heating up the pages with Wolf and his old lady. Some of the scenes were hotter than I even imagined. This was a good aspect of the book. The writing style of this book is where I had the most issues. The pace of the book was steady and I enjoyed the characters. The issues I have with it are the point of views. We read this story from 3 point of views and there is no real distinction between them. At times, I became confused. Other than that, I thought it was a good book. Overall, this was a good book. I am giving it 4 stars because I really liked the story even if I had issues with some parts of it. I would recommend this book to others who like their heat dirty and the men rough. This would be a good story for them. Ratings: Plot: 4/5 Characters: 5/5 Heat: 4/5 Writing Style: 4/5 Overall: 4/5
So this is a prequel, not my favorite thing in the world (they tend to be too short for me), but in this case I get it, you really do need the set up. This book is definitely not a book you want to read if you are looking for your happily ever after. This book is all about tearing everything apart and setting it up to start over again. This book follows siblings, Wolf and Sabrina. Neither of them knew about the other one, but they share the recently departed father. Sabrina needs help, she’s in a bad place, I won’t spoil anything but she’s had a rough couple of weeks and she really needs her dads help, only instead of her dad she finds her brother. I liked Sabrina, she still manages to stand up tall when I would want to be curled up in the corner crying. Wolf is beyond surprised about his sister. But frankly, dude has other problems. Someone is trying to kill, his wife is needy as can be. And he’s trying to cement an alliance between his MC and another. Wolf is rough around the edges, which is totally understandable since he’s an MC prez. I like how he handles things in this book and I am intrigued to see how his story ends up. I will say this book is a little rough in the beginning if you haven’t read the other MC series, I was more than a little confused with all the characters being thrown at me, and there is a ton of background information to get a good handle on. I also wish there had been more interaction between Sabrina and Wolf, and I hope we get to see it in the future. Overall this was a pretty good prequel that has me intrigued to see where it goes.
Jessie Cooke has a talent for weaving together several storylines so that while the primary focus is on a specific character finding his perfect other half, there is always much more going on in the background. Some stories like this one give you a peek at other characters and how their relationships are started, going, or as in this one finishing. It really makes her stories hard to put down after just one or 10 you just want to know what else is happening in the Skulls world be it Dax, Gunner, Wolf or a completely new character you are wanting to know what's next... The Gunner PPV fight to win back Ryder's Elvira is an ongoing background storyline that's spread over several stories including Wolf's. In this first story for Wolf he already has an old lady he loves but someone is trying to kill him.... He finds out he has a half sister who needs his help... He is very busy building his new training center for fighting with Dax as his partner... Then while investigating who is trying to kill him after the second attempt, he finds a clue pointing toward his old lady... If you want to follow his Sargent at arms story from the start I think it starts in this story too when he meets Wolf's sister... They have a few interactions in Wolf 1. Its a good story and its totally different from any other stories in the series so far... So far Wolf thought he had his happy ending but it just blew up in his face.... Hopefully Wolf 2 is where he finds his forever love.

I'm still on my July 2018 new to me authors kick and am happy to report that this is a another winner. Wolf started out as the first book in the Westside Skulls MC Series but is now called a prequel. I can tell you that while it's called a prequel, this is no short backstory before the true action begins. Wolf: Prequel is a completely engrossing and plot filled start.
Wolf, president of the Westside Skulls, is a busy guy. He runs a MMA gym, has got a meet and greet with another club, his own club issues and in the middle of some dirty time with his wife, is shot. Luckily, Wolf is not a man to be kept down long and soon is on the trail of his would be killer while learning about a half sister he didn't know about. Let's just say there is a lot going on for this MC prez.
Jessie Cooke's story is well written, steady paced and filled with the amount of action that you expect from an MC book. There are rough bikers, tough as nails women, intrigue, double dealing and suspense. Wolf is an interesting mix of what you imagine a biker president would be with just a touch of a softer side to make him book boyfriend worthy.
While this is a prequel so you know that more is to come,t there is no cliffhanger. This is a complete story with a shocking twist. A righteous good beginning to what looks like will be an excellent MC series.
Wolf had become the new president of the Westside Skulls MC after his father Coyote died. He had a mess to clean up concerning the club. Now with everything going well in the club, forging a bond with the Southside Skulls MC, opening a new gym and the love of his life, Amara, by his side he was ontop of the world. In the blink of an eye, Wolf's world started spiraling downwards. Within a few days apart someone tried to murder him twice. Is there a mole within the club? If things couldn't get any worse, a teen shows up claiming to be Coyote's daughter. Why does Sabrina need Coyote's help? Will Wolf help his sister? When Bruf meets Sabrina sparks begin to fly. Will Bruf stay loyal to his brothers and resist the temptation of being with Sabrina? As the pieces of the puzzle start to fall in place, secrets are exposed and lies are revealed as Wolf and Bruf discover who the mole is. Love and trust no longer exist. I enjoyed the special appearances from some of the characters from Southside Skulls MC. It refreshed my memory of their stories. Jessie Cooke's MC stories are full mystery and suspense that keep you on the edge of your seat. They pull on your heartstrings. Her stories are superb. I can't wait for Bruf and Sabrina's story. I fell in love with Smoke. His and Marissa's story will be something else.
As a lover of MCs and a frequent reader of Ms. Cooke's, I was excited to read the series spin-off to the Southside Skulls series. Although there are crossover characters, the book is a stand alone. As a prequel to the Westside Skulls MC series, the author spends a lot of time setting up the new series and introducing us to the players in the new MC.
As the president of an up-and-coming MC, Wolf has a lot going on but life is good for him; a club that's growing and on a new path, the hottest old lady on the planet that he's completely in love with and new ventures on the way. Until someone tries to kill him...
Coyote, Wolf's old man and former MC pres, left a few messes for him to clean up but the last thing he expected was a girl showing up claiming to be Coyote's daughter. Between someone trying to kill him and a new little sister with her own problems, Wolf is spinning out a bit. He's got to find a way to take the would-be killer out, find out who is out to get him and do right by his new little sister. When answers begin emerging, the enemy might be closer than he thinks.
Great book, intriguing storylines, great characters. I'm already antsy for the second half of the story!
Wolf - Prequel: Westside Skulls Motorcycle club (Westside Skulls MC Romance Book #1) by Jessie Cooke
I was really excited to read that a spin-off from the Southside Side Skulls was coming. The first book, Wolf, is greatly anticipated and preceded by a prequel. There’s crossover characters from the previous series added to the tale, but mainly the story is a stand alone and introduces us to a whole new assortment of characters, and a new MC. Marvellous reading!
Wolf has everything going his way at the moment. He’s busy with his job as president of an MC that’s small compared to some, but he has lots of plans to grow and a sexy lady on his arm helps. Then someone try to kill him and he want’s to know the reason why! His search finds answers he’d rather not know and try’s to take care of the problem. His problem then turns up at the MC and he knows he has to do the right thing for them all.
This was wonderful story. I loved the new characters, this story is short but not lacking in anything, there’s lot’s going on. The writing and storyline is superb for a novella and I enjoyed every page. I highly recommend this book.
I’m even more charged now to start the main series! Lol!

This book is an introduction to Xavier “Wolf” Lee and his group of men. Being a prequel, it shows how his world changed in an instant. In order to understand who Wolf is, I think it becomes a necessity because otherwise it would ruin the continuity. It’s also a great way to get introduced to some of the other men that belong to this club.
One thing this book did for me is wonder why I’ve never read this author before. It’s a great introduction to the world of an MC, if you’ve never read one before. Yes, there is violence but that’s not all that they’re about. These men may be rough and tough but they also have a soft side.
There’s a character here, that Wolf really cares about, that I have to wonder if they will make an appearance somewhere within this series. Especially since the ending was left up in the air. At the very least you need to read the continuation of his story. Besides learning more about him, we also get to learn a little more about his club. I didn’t feel any romance here but that was fine by me because it did what it was supposed to – I want more!
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Wow what a start to the Westside Skulls MC Series. I was sad the book ended. I cannot wait to read book 1 and see where Jessie Cooke takes us. I loved introduction to the characters in this book. Wolf sounds like my kind of guy. I love me some hot biers, so much so that I married one, and am living happily ever after.
In the book Wolf is the President of the Westside Skulls MC. He took over after his father Coyote passed away. While he is still tying to make the club his own he runs into a few problems.
He is happily married at least he thinks to Amara. Out of the blue someone sneaks into his bedroom and while making love to his wife shoots him. A few days later someone else tries again.
Sabrina was gang raped at a party and then one of the rapist showed up at her house and was raping her again when she found scissors and killed him. Her mother is in jail taking the fall for her. She goes to Coyote her father for help. This is when Wolf finds out he has a 19 year old sister, and Sabrina finds out her father is dead.
If the prequel is anything like the rest of the series this will be an awesome ride.
WOW! I absolutely LOVED every minute of this story that I devoured in one sitting, and then needed more of immediately. I mean look at the cover, it shows how hot Wolf is before ever starting his story. This is the beginning of a complicated life for the President of the Westside Skulls MC, and it's already started with a bang. See, someone shot Wolf while his was with his old lady, and off to the races we go with the suspense factor. And if that isn't enough, a girl name Sabrina shows up claiming that she's his sister, so a whole lot is happening in a short time for Wolf. Between digging for answers about who shot him, and Sabrina's problems, the twists were around every corner, and my f-bombs were raining down from every direction. And the story flip flopped between Wolf & Sabrina, so I have already imprinted on both of them. Plus, there's a new set of bikers who make up the secondaries, and boy are they hot, foul mouthed, and bad a**ed! So the action is off the charts heart racing as well. I'm already addicted to this new spin off series by the amazing Jessie Cooke, and CANNOT WAIT to see how Wolf's story ends up. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Wolf thought he had it all. A gorgeous hot woman. Prez of the biggest MC club in his region. Partnering with another big trusted club. On the verge of a new venture with the support of a champion known to all. What could go wrong?
Someone could shoot him. His SA could take the shooter out before they get any answers. Wondering who wants him dead causes him to question who he can trust. A very young woman shows up announcing she is his sister. A sister he never knew he had. She's in trouble. His trusted SA and bodyguard has eyes for her even though he knows he can't have her. If that isn't enough when he finds out his sister's story there is payback coming and he plans to make sure it is issued.
There is a lot going on. There are a bunch of hot guys. Some women who make the men's mouths water and other related reactions. One thing there is not---a dull moment. Ms Cooke doesn't let us down. The story is consuming and while has it's own ending the need to read more about these characters is just one of the consequences of reading her work. I'm more than willing to pay that consequence and am on to Wolf book 2.
I'm not entirely sure that I would call this a prequel. I guess I think of prequels as shorter. I saw it more as book one of a series. It really has that feel.
Wolf loves his wife Amara. He's positive that he will be with her for the rest of their lives. Between her and his MC, he's loving his life. Then someone knocks down his bedroom door while he and his wife are having happy fun times and shoots him.
On top of that, a young woman has shown up and told him that she's his sister. Since he had no clue that he had a sister, he has no clue what's happening, but she told him that she needs his help. Part of his help is keeping his best friend and Sargeant at Arms Bruf away from his younger sister.
Lots of interesting things going on in this book. I thought that Wolf was actually a little naive for an outlaw MC president, but that's just my opinion. Amara was... interesting. I didn't particularly care for her from the beginning. She was just too much all the time. Too dramatic, too passionate, too... whatever. Just too much.
A new series that's a break off of the Southside Skulls. Wolf thinks his life is pretty much great, except for the fact that someone wants him dead. The killer isn't someone one would think would try. Wolf does his on investigating and the news he gets hits to close to home. He makes a plan and sets his wife up. What I didn't get is yes he may love her but why have sex with her one last time before he kicks her out. He was also to soft on her. For an MC, who cares if its a woman, if someone sets you up to kill you, you come back at them harder. Before we found out who was behind the threat I kind of suspected when he was attracted to the lady at the speakeasy. In books I have read once a man finds his true love NO ONE is able to get a reaction out of them. They just don't notice other attractive women. They may see that one is pretty but that's as far as it goes. I am interested to see where this MC goes.
This is the first book in a spin-off series from the Southside Skulls, a series that I loved and this is a fantastic start to this new series. Jessie Cooke had me completely hooked from beginning to end. She had the intrigue level stepped up high along with the brilliant characters from the Westside Skulls MC that peeked my interest.
Wolf is the President and he was leading what he thought was the perfect life. The club was doing well, he was happily married to a gorgeous feisty woman, all seemed good until he is shot at in his bedroom. The path to finding out the truth leads to his world being tipped upside down. Secrets are revealed and loyalties are tested.
I am hooked and as this is the prequel I am eagerly anticipating the conclusion of Wolf's story.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review from the Author and Enticing Journey Book Promotions
This is the 1st book in a new spin-off series from the “Southside Skulls”. Wolf is the president and he is convinced that he has the perfect life, with the perfect woman as an old lady. When he is shot and starts digging into who wants him dead, he gets answers that he certainly did not expect. Sabrina has had a rough life and has her own set of problems to deal with, but when she shows up at the clubhouse claiming that Wolf is her brother, he has more problems to unravel. This is a wonderful prequel, which had me totally hooked and intrigued throughout. I loved catching up with Dax and his boys as well. Looking forward to reading more of Wolf’s story! I highly recommend this authors’ work for all MC lovers.
I absolutely LOVED this book!! Jessie Cooke has done it again!! For a prequel book this one is off the charts!! This book centers around the Westside Skulls MC and for a spin off/new series it was amazing!! This story centers around 3 main characters Wolf who is the MC president his woman/old lady Amara and Sabrina who is Wolf's sister!! She shows up out of the blue claiming to be his sister and with her comes more problems!! I am not quite sure how you get shot having sex but somewhere in there karma must be coming around!! This book has action, twists, turns, rough alpha men, a few f-bombs and some serious heat and a little dirty sex!! I highly recommend this book you won't be sorry!! →
This prequel is the beginning of the Westside Skulls MC series, and it's certainly off to a great start. Full of action, suspense, angst, heartbreak, and unexpected twists, it's definitely a great read. I would highly suggest that you read the Southside Skulls MC series prior to beginning this one. It's not necessary, but you will have a better understanding of the characters, connections, and the aspects of the clubs by reading it first. Also, it was a fantastic series like this one is starting off to be. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and great author.
Why the f*ck haven’t I ever heard of this author before? Total M.C. fan (if it’s done right). I signed up for a blog ARC review and instead found a new author I enjoy. After finishing this book in 2 hours I headed to Amazon only to find out she has a previous series of 12 freaking books!?!? Seriously. Why has no one told me about her?? I am VERY excited to jump into Wolfs full book now. The prequel did a badass job of pulling me into the club and gaining my interest. I might not sleep tonight...
Wold is the president of the west side skulls they are located in California. Wolf is having the Southside skulls from Boston they are going into business together on his gym for training MMA fighters. But first Dax’s brother Gunner is going to train there for his big fight in Vegas. But someone is trying to kill Wolf so as they find more and more evidence Wolf is truly shocked. But they do find out who it is. But I am not going to tell you you will have to read this good read to find out. So enjoy!!
Wolf has everything a man could ask for. A great MC, a fantastic old lady and a bright future. When someone tries to kill him, he begins to dig and the answers he finds are horrendous. He puts in place a plan to take care of his problem. When the kid shows up and says she is his sister, he knows he has to do the right thing for this young girl. This book was awesome. The storyline was amazing. Excellent writing.
Rating:3.5 This was my first Jessie Cooke read and I just found out that it was a spin off. When I was reading it I thought maybe there was something that I was missing but it didnt take away from the story at all. I like how the book introduced me to some of the key players that I will be reading more about as the series continues.
I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book about betrayal by someone that is suppose to love you and stick by you through thick and thin. Overall this was a really good book I recommend this book to all romance readers. Pretty great read!
