This issue finally feels like the story is starting to move in a more interesting direction. Much of the focus here is on Pietro’s relationship and long history with his sister, the Scarlet Witch. The issue is very reflective and heavy on character history, which I actually appreciated. Seeing their shared past explored alongside the current events added some depth to the story and helped ground Pietro’s motivations. Where the issue lost me a bit was in the dialogue, particularly Pietro’s internal monologue. The voice didn’t quite feel like the Pietro I’m used to reading. He came across as trying a little too hard to be funny, leaning heavily into sarcasm and snark. While Quicksilver can certainly have an edge to him, this tone didn’t fully land for me and felt slightly off from the character’s usual portrayal. Maybe that’s just my interpretation, but it didn’t connect the way it probably should have. The artwork was fine overall, though nothing particularly stood out to me. It served the story well enough but didn’t elevate the issue in any major way. At this point, I’ll finish the next two issues simply because they complete the current arc and I already have them. However, as it stands right now, I wouldn’t recommend the series. The pacing has been slow and the overall story has been just okay. Grade: C
