This was a super fast and easy read. Wolf was a loner, living in the woods in a cabin, living a simple life. Ruby was living in town, although she preferred her own company, and was off to enjoy a couple of weeks in the woods in solitude, unplugged from the world. And then Wolf saw Ruby. Wolf wanted Ruby. Wolf was ready to claim Ruby. Wolf carried Ruby off to his cabin. And they lived happily ever after in erotic bliss. Sounds good? I know it sounded darn good to me!

This quick read was just what I needed today before I had to go and be a responsible adult. OTT alpha to the extreme. He saw Ruby and he knew she would be his at any cost. Not much depth for the characters or much development for them. Just a quickie read.
-no cheating
-no ow/om drama
-neither were virgins
-no violence of any nature
-looking forward to Bear's story
-epilogue was lacking- only a year out with no good look into their future

I'd obviously wasn't in the right state of mind when picking up this up in which case revealed the author decent writing style, well researched journey of Mary and Burr relations, long-winded and often times, tedious historical fiction novel. In overall, I've unfortunately decided to cut this short before one of our main protagonist even made an appearance. It just hurt too much to continue.

Because the Big Bad Wolf is way better than Prince Charming!
This is a novella resembling Little Red Riding Hood, but, you know, a lot grown-uped and way sexier!
It has a lot of potential and the characters are really great! Wolf is a loner, living in the woods without people around, he only wants his innocent Little Red. That's right. His!
Ruby is also a loner (although in a lower proportion than Wolf) that is seeking for her own place in this world. And she finds it right in Wolf's arms.
This short story was extremely sexy, hot and left totally swooning and wanting more! It was a story to relax and to turn on...the temperature.
It's cool because in a short story, sometimes, you can feel the characters or things are a little pushed. But this time, even being totally fictional, I could feel both Ruby and Wolf, and I could even relate to them.
I read it in one seating, and I really enjoyed.

3.5 : Lets be real, these stories are either your idea of quick and dirty treats that you leave your logic at the door and gobble up (likely between heavier reads to give you your quick smut hit) or they just aren’t for you. Me? Nom-nom-nom.

Ruby is taking a two week vacation, just her, in a cabin in the woods. Some hiking and alone time to clear her head is just what she needs. She’s 23 and she works for a publishing company as an advice columnist. Wolf Jagger lives alone in a cabin in the woods and he prefers it that way. He only goes into town when he needs supplies other than that he keeps to himself. He’s noticed Ruby in town and he likes that she looks innocent and vulnerable and he’d like to take a bite out of her.

2 stars. Eh, not what I was expecting. It was very boring to me, even the smut which you know it's bad if I find the damn smut to be boring. SMH. I got sucked in because of the cover and the summary and was completely let down. This was my first read by Jenika Slow and I didn't mind her writing so I do plan on picking up more from her. Maybe not another novella but definitely a full length novel instead.

Oh dang it...ya know those books you highly anticipated to read, especially sense it’s one of your favorite type of genres...then when you finally get the chance...it’s just plain..satisfactory?
That’s what I got here, I personally love over aggressive assertiveness type of alpha males that don’t accept ‘no’ in any form, and Wolf well...he’s kinda like the dollar store version rather then the genuine kind, a true knock off. I hated the fact I found myself chuckling at just how ‘easy going’ everything went, cause it was just made to be an easy read rather than have the reader engrossed and on the edge of their seat.
This is kinda what happens when you purposely write a short story and throw away any effort of depth-ness to the story out the window and rather just do a ‘wham-bam-thank you-ma’am’ type instead.
This story could’ve been...so much more(!!), even better if it was a bit darker, but overall it all just came out like on a...lighter note?

I have been a fan of Jenika Snow for a little while now. She always come through with a possessive/jealous hero that is totally into the heroine. The Wolf's Capture is a spin on the tale of Wolf and Red Riding Hood, sorta. Ruby comes to the woods to get away from it all. She feels trapped in the city, lonely surrounded by tons of people. She needs to reset her life so she heads to the woods. Once there, she sees the mountain man Wolf watching her from the woods. Everyone in town knows Wolf on sight but he keeps his distance from the townsfolk. Wolf has seen Ruby before but now that she is in his woods, he knows its a sign that she is going to be his. Will Ruby feel the same or will she elude the big bad Wolf?
The Wolf's Capture was good little tale and seriously hot! Jenika Snow can write some sexy alpha guys and her female characters are unique. I enjoyed my time within the pages but it was so brief I could have read it on my coffee break. I am all for quick little reads, they are awesome and I have lots of them on my e-reader. This one, however, felt too short. The story does wrap up completely with two epilogues. I just really liked the characters of Ruby and Wolf and would have liked to see more of their story. 4 stars for The Wolf's Capture.

I've been wanting to read a book from this author for quite some time but other books were pilling up and I didn't had time. I'm sad because of that but I can't be reading all day, despite that it's all I want to do.
Jenika Snow has an appealing writing full of hotness and sassyness that will make you blush. I'm insane and I've just read 1 book.
The Wolf's Capture is her latest release and tells the stories of Wolf and Ruby.
Ruby just had enough. In order to feel sane again she opted to have an adventure in the woods. Being surrounded by people can be madness but what's worse is to be surrounded and feel alone.
On her adventure she wasn't expecting to find...

Ruby just wanted to be away from the read world and enjoy her two weeks vacation, filled with peace, no one to bother her and alone with nature. A perfect combo for a harmonious vacation for her, yet I bet she never thought she would find the love of her life, a mountain man, who from the moment he saw her in town, was captivated by her beauty and determined in claiming her as his :)
I loved their chemistry together and how well they completed each other in every way ;) They had a lot in common; they both wanted to live simple, in peace away from any drama, with nature. Luckily, Ruby was a determined young woman and was tenacious to show Wolf that she may be a city girl but she can also become one with the solitary and peaceful mountain and become Wolf's mate and live happily ever after with her man <3
This story is mainly about Ruby and Wolf, two people looking for something like being alone, in peace and instead find each other and in each other, they find forever <3

Ruby wants more than her boring 9-5 life. She decides to have an adventure in the mountains. When Wolf and Ruby meet, its instant heat and connection between them. If you want a very quick stream read, grab this one. The only thing this author leaves me wanting is a follow up story of their future.

This is a very short story. Not much of a story at all. Mostly a guy takes a girl and screws her brains out. Then the girl decides that she can't live without him/his penis and never leaves.
I am not sure if I liked this story or didn't as there wasn't much to it at all. So it is up to you if you want to read it, to be honest.

If you're looking for a mountain man Insta Love story then snap this up. It's a fantastic dirty quickie. Wolf lives off the grid by choice. Preferring to live away from society. Ruby craves more than her mundane 9-5 life. An adventure in the mountains is just what she needs. When the two cross paths - Kaboom 💥 This mountain man isn't taking no for an answer. Such a great read.
