When the fifteen-year-old daughter of a prostitute goes missing, it’s déjà vu for DI Wednesday, whose similar case from three years ago remains unsolved. Knowing she cannot fail again, Wednesday races to find the girl alive through a complex web of suspects and unanswered questions. Both girls’ cases weigh heavily on her mind as Wednesday tackles personal demons from the past and considers changes for the future, hoping the steps she takes will give her the denouement she’s been searching for.
I spent most of my professional life as a Community Nurse for people with learning disabilities and a Family Planning Nurse in London. I was also a Forensic Mental Health Nurse working with young offenders in Hertfordshire. I spent six years living in the south of France and now live on the Norfolk border. A rescue cat owns me, and I now write full-time.
Another great book in the DI Wednesday series. DI Wednesday is investigating a missing girl case very similar to a case 3 yrs before, so many suspects I changed my mind about 3 times as to who it was such a good read and Wednesday and Lennox relationship is still unanswered in my head hoping for more in this series
Well that was great. Full of twists and turns, I love the way the story lingers to the point that you always feel something is just out of reach, until it isn't. I highly recommend this book.
