So these are the kinds of reviews that are hard for me to write. It is the ones that while you liked the book you just didn’t love it but the potential was there and maybe future books will get better and better. It must be said that this is the first book in this series so it, I think, fell into first book issues. There is a LOT going on, we are introduced to many characters, I got confused at times because so much was happening at times. It would be jammed packed for of excitement one minute and then the next the book would lag and feel way too drawn out. Betting On Forever while had the potential to be great, it ended up being just good. I don’t mean that in a bad way either, I can see this series become something amazing in the future if done right.
The chemistry between Blade and Alessia was hot from the start. I loved how she was during the first time they meet. It made me laugh and I could almost picture it in my mind. Alessia, while she may come across as strong she is also weak. I liked how Blade really brought out more of that strength in her. Blade well he is sexy and badass. The secondary characters are entertaining at times but almost took away from Blade and Alessia’s story.
Betting On Forever, while not perfect, was still overall an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to the next book to see if the issues I had with this one are resolved as well as to see what happens.

Wasn't sure if I was going to like this book since the beginning novella wasn't very good in my opinion. It was mostly thoughts with no real action but this one was good and I truly enjoyed it.
There's a whole lot of club stuff and plenty of romance with hot sexy times. Started a little bit of enemy to lovers. Alessia left her family behind and her and her two best friends took off to live in Vegas and opened a bar. She was getting over a broken heart. In comes in a few men of the local MC club that has recently started up. Of course the prez is an asshole to her but she showed him.
There's a whole lot of action going on but the club doesn't know what is happening or who is behind it. Just that there's things going on that shouldn't be. Alessia is also hiding a bit of a secret from Blade.... when he finds out it's funny to imagine the look of his face.

Another MC series is starting and I can't stay away... I need to read it and the fact that the blurb spiked my curiosity was a huge bonus. But reading a book from a new author can be scary, I know that I've already said this but it's the truth. Reading a book from a new author can be an amazing thing or it can crash and burn... To many variables are at stake... Is the plot appealing? Will I like her writing? Do the characters work good together? See... To many questions but there is only one way to find out so that's what I've done...
And I'm so glad I did. Scarlett Black is amazing and you wouldn't have guessed that this was her debut novel... Jeez.

The plot is amazing, very well written, super engaging and intense with the perfect mix of danger, love, desire and so much more.
The were parts of the story that I saw myself laughing so hard but there were others that I wanted to slap someone... Jeez... These two are super stubborn.
Of course that not everything is a bed of roses because danger is lurking on every corner...
I'm so happy for the chance to read this book and I'm super excited for the next.

No one loves to “discover” a talented new author more than I do...and the fact that Scarlett Black has begun her career with an authentic and realistic series about the Battle Born Motorcycle Club is just a bonus to me.....As much as I love books about MCs, nothing disappoints me more than beginning one and realizing it is not portraying an MC, realistically or even believably (Thank you, Sons of Anarchy).... Ms Black seems to have a firm grip on the details that make an MC book a reality to the reader.... These details encompass many things, all the way from their language, to the inner workings of the MCs...from the ride or die brotherhood, to the “ownership” and consummate protection of their women, to the inevitable violence of retribution and revenge for the enemies of the club....❤️🌼🔥
BETTING ON FOREVER is the ultimate beginning of this series and the all-consuming love story of the strong, sexy, MC President, Blade and Vegas/Alessia, the beautiful bar owner with connections of her own...The chemistry of this couple is so hot, I had to turn my ceiling fan up to high while I read...I hope we get to read more about Blade and Vegas in upcoming books....They are the President and his Ol’ Lady, after all.....❤️🌼🔥
Because this is the first book in the series, we are introduced to so many sexy, interesting and lovable, supporting and peripheral characters, and I can see Ms. Black and the Battle Born MC Series riding quite awhile with plenty of books we want to read...In fact, I can see myself possibly becoming obsessed with the BATTLE BORN MC SERIES....and, even, quite possibly, with Blade....❤️🌼🔥

This was a good book but I had a hard time getting used to a weird quirk of using question marks at the end of sentences that weren't questions. It kept making me re-read lines of dialog to try and make sense of the punctuation but never really could.
Both Blade and Alessia were good characters and I was okay with most of the book, but there were parts that were dumb and made no sense. As time went on, that Vegas didn't mention her ties to the MC to Blade and that she acted like she didn't know very much about MC culture was manipulative in a way I couldn't get behind. Also when Vegas trots out the ins and out of what was going on with Johnny, unbeknownst to the readers or the MC's, I just had to roll my eyes. There is no way that Vegas didn't know that that information was highly necessary and should have been conveyed to her dad, at the very least. Yes, you can write a capable heroine without making her look dumb while being capable. It just takes better plotting.

This was a good story for a first time author. Not perfect but very engaging. At times I was confused with information that was just thrown in with no lead up to it. I plan on reading the next book in the series. There's no cheating and an HEA. There are some pretty graphic violent scenes regarding torturing some of the club's rivals.

I have to say that Scarlett Black has out did herself with The Battle Born MC. This is the first book in the series and I have to say it started off with a BANG! Lord have mercy we get to see Alessia first in this story and what happens to her. After experiencing a heart break she tells her family she needs to make a clean break and move away. After moving away she starts a new life and buys a bar where her two bet friends come and join her.
That is when she meets tall, dark, and effing gorgeous Blade. He comes into her bar looking to see if she is willing to sell the store right next store to the bar she owns and she says yes. She has other plans for her property behind her bar so she knows selling this part will help her do her other project.
As Blade tries to get Alessia's attention she shuts him down and he tries harder determined to make her his old lady no matter what. This is where the story gets amazing because stuff happens to Alessia and Blade and they will have to rely on the club and her family for support. There is lot's of action and suspense in this story that it will have you at the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.
You want big bad alpha biker then look no further because this is the book for you! Love me some Blade who is the big bad wolf.

Betting on Forever is book 1 in The Battle Born MC Series written by Scarlett Black. This is the story of Alessia DeRosa, owner of the local bar ( Vegas to her friends ) & Blade Johnson, president of the Battle Born Motorcycle Club Reno Chapter. Scarlett is a new author for me and Betting On Forever is her debut novel. The Plot, principal and second characters were thought and write perfectly. I love reading MC stories and this one have it all; action, suspense, mystery, sexy banter, humor, lots of emotions, twist and turns, brotherhood, sisterhood, romance, a strong and sexy hero and an even more sassy, smart and feisty heroine. No Spoilers here, go buy the book it it worth it. I couldn't put down once started. I highly recommend this book! Can't wait to read book 2, Axl and Dana's story!!!!Definitely recommend this new author and she's on my one click list!!!

I have to call this a slow build MC romance novel as it took me a little bit to get into it but once it got good I was enjoying the characters. Vegas is a kick butt main female lead and she kept blowing my mind with her in depth plans. Then we get Blade the alpha pres of the local chapter with his dominant ways. Man do the sparks got when you put them together. The in depth plot was rather fascinating as it all played out. Overall a decent start to this series that I recommend to fans of the genre. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

This is the first book in a series by a debut author. This was a really good, enjoyable book. I really liked Alessia and Blade together. Separate, they were great characters, but together, they're incredible. This book has it all. Humor, action, and drama. I can't wait to read book two.

He just did not expect that when trying to reborn the club from ashes, he would burn by the owner of the property where he intends to open a tattoo studio.
What phrase would I use to define Blade? The brutes also love. And with intensity! Some sad scenes and other happy brought tears to the eyes and warm the heart of the reader.
Intrigues, problems, dangers and hot scenes. Like every motorcycle book should have. Despite portraying a very macho scenario, the book presents us with a strong protagonist that makes it clear from the beginning that she does not need a man to be complete. But that the man who respects and accepts her as she is, and is faithful to her, can win the way to her heart.
Yes, we have romance despite all the adult content portrayed in the book. The way the hearts of Vegas and Blade open to each other, knocking down and breaking barriers is delightful to read. The couple bets everything and bets high in search of happiness.
Great secondary characters. The most funny and lazybones dog in the world. And the bravest, too. An exciting twist and a great closure for a book filled with dangers, emotion and love.

Well fellow MC whores, this is a must read! Alessia DeRosa is BAD ASS!! She is no damsel in distress, although when need be she sure can fake it. When I grow up, I want TO BE Alesia DeRosa. If she wasn’t enough to make me scream YES, her awesome band of merry ladies are f-ing awesome as well, and I haven’t even mentioned her family, OMG!!!
Blade is one hot alpha, biker male, lordy, lordy!! (fans self and stands in below zero freezer, still not helping.)
Let’s just say that this is one new author to watch and put on your must-read list! CANNOT wait for Axel and Dana’s story.

I am amazed that this is a first novel from this author, as she has done a fantastic job! Alessia and Blade have explosive chemistry between them, and I loved the witty banter between all of the characters. This is a well written story with a great plot, and with such depth to both. This story is filled with suspense, drama, humour, and is a steamy read which had me intrigued and captivated throughout. Hat’s off to this talented author for her 1st novel, and she is certainly a name which I will be adding to my favourite and 1-click lists.

Such a strong leading female character.
The male lead was just as strong.
They blended really well.

Vegas Baby!
This is my second time reading this and I think it was even better the second time around! Vegas and Blade are made for each other. I know she had trust issues but he proves he's a good guy. Can't wait to read more about the BBMC!

She's tough. She's built a wall around her heart that few can climb. Her family. Her friends. Certainly not another cocky biker--no matter how hot he is. She's happy with her successful club run and owned by her besties. They are havin' fun. Makin' money. Not trustin' anyone but family and her girls.
Blade is the new MC President of the Battle Born MC local chapter. He needs to set up for his Tattoo shop and the perfect location is right next door to the club. The club owned by the hottest woman he's ever seen. She's hot but there is so much more and he has no idea just how much. He has his work cut out rebuilding this club from the mess the last prez made of it. He's about to find out that dealing with the club and those issues are not his only battlefronts. Alessia is going to give him a challenge professionally and personally. He has his guys who are all in for this location and the great scenery--the club owners.
There is plenty of humor. A hilarious but hot roller coaster ride of love and control between these two. Watching them learn how to meld their powerful personalities, succeed in their business, and build a life while a major problem could end them all is an amazing read. All the characters are memorable and impossible not to support--except the bad guys who you will love to hate.
Don't miss this one.

Betting on Forever is Scarlett Black's debut book, and frankly, I'm shocked, as her talented writing style completely hooked me from the get go, so she's firmly on my radar. This story stars Alessia DeRosa, a sassy, independent woman who I simply couldn't get enough of. She got married young, and when her husband broke her heart, she grieved, then moved on, building a new life for herself, becoming the powerful Vegas. She meets Blade Johnson, who is the president of the Battle Born MC Reno Chapter, and while she feels a strong attraction to him, she refuses to let another man close to her. However, Blade is going to make Alessia his, so the lines have been drawn, and the sparks are flying. It doesn't take long for those sparks to ignite into something flammable that they light the sheets on fire! And all around these two are a cast of secondaries who are highly entertaining, so I couldn't stop laughing with all the hilarious interactions going on. In between the fun, and sexy games, there is danger surrounding everyone, so the twists are f-bomb worthy, and drop them I did! I CANNOT WAIT for the next book in this amazingly awesome new series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Alessia left behind her old life after being hurt, by a man, she puts everything she has into the bar, swearing she will never let anyone break her like that again.
When Blade meets Alessia with a business proposition for her, after leaving he realises that he wants something more than the girls at the club, and only she will satisfy him.
Blade knows it’s going to take time with Alessia, he sees her pain and sees her push away, but he lets her know he wants all of her, he wants her to give him a chance before she pushes him away, Alessia lets him know she’s scared and that if he doesn’t want all of her to walk away before she gets hurt, she knows what club men are like and if he ever screws around on her don’t come back.
Deciding on a bet to get what he wants, when it’s time for the bet he’s sure that he’s outsmarted her, although it seems she has something up her sleeve and he knows he has met his match and wants her to be his even more.
Can Blade continue to show Alessia that what they have is real and he wants forever, everyone can see they are perfect, but will Alessia take a chance.

First things first; I really like the cover of this book!
Betting on forever is book one in the ‘’Battle born MC’’ series. This story is short, mixed pace and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. Betting on forever is the first book of Scarlett Black’s that I have read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. I loved Vegas. I loved how kickass she was but it was also clear to see how caring she was and her softer side.
I loved Axl, I thought he was hilarious. I also loved Tank and Spider.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait to dive into more books from this series.

Betting on forever is the first book of Scarlett Black’s that I have read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. This book is fantastic. Two head strong characters that always stay in control. We follow Blade and Alessia on their wonderful journey. Alessia is heartbroken when her eyes witness her husband. She is proud and stubborn so she takes off and starts her bar. When Blade enters the picture, she knows she doesn’t want her heart broke again so she plays with him. Little does she know that he always wins. Awesome writing with a spectacular storyline. A must read.

This author just blew me away! I couldn't put this book down, such an amazing story and characters. Alessia just wants to escape a past that broke her and she puts it all on a new life away from the pain. She then meets Blade who she knows she should resist but can't. When the past comes home and there is no running from Blade or from the cheating ex who destroyed her. She knows that she is strong and can fight for what matters, no matter the odds. I cannot believe this is a new author because she has the skill of an author that has written many books. This story just took my breath away and left me wanting more. Scarlett Black is definitely an author to watch and with this her first book a story to be read many times over. Highly recommended!!!

Holy shit!!!
This is the first book by this author and all I can say that it is AMAZING!! Please take the time and give this author a chance. I absolutely loved it. The storyline and characters were thought out well and it all rolled together perfectly. Aleesia aka Vegas has her heart broken in the beginning of the book. Skip ahead a few years and in walks Blade and his MC brothers into the picture. Vegas has The no bullshit attitude and takes no shit from anybody men and women alike. There is some mystery blended in with the MC story. The brotherhood that is shared along with the sisterhood between the girls is awesome. The secondary characters are great and I can not wait for their stories.I can not wait for more from this author, because I do believe I just found my next one click author.

New author smashed it out of the park! I loved this book and COULDN'T put it down even when I needed to lol! I love Vegas (Alessia) she is a strong female lead and doesn't take crap from anyone even though all her boxes are checked with Blade. She had a rough go of it at beginning of her story but you find out why she is the way she is and I totally get her being a hard ass. Blade doesn't know what to make of her but he wants her like no tomorrow. Real truths are found out and the game is played like a well executed chess match in which Vegas is the King not the Queen. One thing these two know is life is alot more interesting when you have the same people in common. I CAN'T wait for the next one because even though this book focused on Vegas and Blade, the people around them still have their stories to tell.

Kay.. are we super sure this is Scarlett Black’s first book??? Cause WOW. I read this in one sitting and I kid you not I felt like I was in a whirlwind from the moment I picked it up. My face was glued to my kindle for hours that before I knew it I was finished and I needed more! 😭😫 Blade and Vegas were the perfect main characters, they weren’t overtly mushy and held their own when it came to each other which I just love. Also getting a preview of the next book? I fell in love with Axl and Dana reading this first book and I just KNOW that it’s going to be another winner. Overall Scarlett Black did an AMAZING job in her debut novel and I cannot wait to read more from her in the future.

I absolutely love a good book with a strong leading male and an even stronger leading female to balance it out. This book is just that. Everyone expects the Male to be a tough alpha male, well, this book is no different. What is different, is the fact that Vegas is just as strong if not stronger than Blade. After life threw Veags some hardships, she didn't let them take her over. Instead, she picked herself up by the bootstraps and started a new. Blade knew he'd have his hands full with Vegas, he just didnt know how much he would enjoy it along the way.

If you love a strong female character and you're a fan of MC books, then this is the book for you! This is Ms. Black's debut novel, and I'm actually kinda surprised. Oftentimes, I find that debut authors' novels sometimes lack character development. That is not the case here! This is a down and dirty MC book, and I thoroughly enjoyed every page of it! Blade is hot, alpha, and a biker. What's not to love?! Vegas is a strong leading lady and can hold her own just fine. I loved seeing these two together and the intimate scenes were HOT! Definitely recommend this new author and new MC series!

Debut. There’s a lot of potential!
I really wish I could give this 3.5 stars as a rating. This is the authors debut novel and is really good but I think too much is going on. We meet a lot of people and hear about a lot of past events that periodically confused me. I also think some of the dialogue/scenes were unrealistic or forced. However, I loved the authors way with the main characters and I’m intrigued with how she will write subsequent books with members of the MC. I’ll definitely keep reading!
