I'm sorry it took a so long to read it (was in the middle of another series), but I finally have. And I am so glad I did.

While I will admit I did have difficult time reading some spots and having to reread them, due to the large paragraphs I'm not use to. I absolutely loved the book.
Loo is a feisty young redhead and the way she deals with the world and inner turmoil is very relatable.
The side characters? Fen? What guy cant relate to him lol
Gingy! I hope there is so much more of him.
The author does great job describing the many locations traveled by our characters. It's like 10,000B.C. meets hunger games.

I'm really bad at reviews so I'll just say that I loved it and cant wait for the next one!

The world created by the author is rich, engaging and highly imaginative, and the characters are equally fleshed out, full of life and depth.

I felt connected to Loo and her struggles with survival, romantic emotions, self-discovery, self-doubt, love, awe, etc. The narrative really made the world feel tangible and real, and not just another dystopic futuristic sci-fi setting, maybe because the story is focused on her and her struggles as a young woman in this world... and it's her perspective of this world and her surroundings that makes this story work so well.

The author took me for quite a roller-coaster and I loved every minute of it!
