Connor Crowe grew up reading stories about dragons, magic, and adventure. He often liked to imagine himself as a character in those stories, and as he grew older he began to write some of them down. He couldn't just write any old fantasy, though. As a die-hard romantic, he tells stories of men finding true love amidst adversity.
When you read a Connor Crowe book, you know you're getting action-packed fantasy mpreg that will make your heart race in more ways than one ;)
Loved reading about the Darkvale Dragons and their mates. Conner is quickly becoming a top author on must read must have book list and can’t wait to read more of his books and Darkvale.
3 books in 1 but this is not a complete series as book 4 is yet to come.
3 stars
These books are about dragon shifters and is set in a fantasy/medieval type world.
Each book follows a different set of MCs Combating different life circumstances and all have an MPREG story with a baby. Each book has an over arching main storyline filled with war and chosen family themes.
In the first book tackles an interspecies relationship (dragon shifter/human). This book was interesting but I felt it was a bit light on setting up this new world. It read very much like an MPREG fated mate story with a light magical world/battle story in the mix. I tend to stay away from stories where the MPREG story is the main focus, that being said this was the best of the 3 book series.
Book 2 was focused on a second chance theme and was a bit darker with people being prisoners of war. What I disliked most about this one was that the Alpha MC was such a big oaf. He was clumsy and, frankly, an idiot and that was annoying for me because it was written like he was second in command and smart ect but he walked into scooby doo style traps which felt unrealistic to me. If these people lived for 5 years off the grid and in hiding, how come they are bunch of bumbling idiots now?
Book 3 was brutally boring for me. So much so I almost DNF. In all fairness it is my least favorite trope (falling for dad's best friend with a large age gap). It was the story that flushed out some more about the magitech world so it had redeeming qualities.
Each book was well written with fully flushed out ideas. Some books were just not my personal favorite tropes and being MPREG heavy I wouldn't want to reread them but I would read book 4 and having read the teaser at the end it sounded interesting.
The Darkvale Dragons series was a really good collection of stories that I enjoyed. It is from a different era of time, not that it's a bad thing, but it's just not something that I normally enjoy. I will be honest, I had a bit of difficulty getting into the first story because of this, but I decided to give it a try, and was surprised to find that I did end up enjoying it. I would recommend this book for others.
Ok these books we not bad but for me they were missing something... I can't explain what... The characters didn't have no real depth ...or the story... It was flat for me ... And things didn't fit either .. Maybe it was the world building that was sub par ...I did read them tho so they held my interest but something was missing ....not sure if I will read the next book ...
If you like alpha dragons and mpreg then this is the series for you! From gruff to gentle, watch these alphas find their softer side when they discover their true mates. All of this is played over a saga of war and loss. Join these gentle giants as they battle for a way of life that most of us dream of.
Well written with great characters. This series kept my interest throughout. Just enough strife with a bit of humor and excitement to make me want to know what happens next. The stories all flow from one to the next keeping us updated as to what's to come. There are also happily ever afters as well.
I liked the fact that all the stories connected. However, all three books are a little sophomoric and underdeveloped. The characters are rich and reoccurring in each story, but it lacks maturity. So 3.5 stars form me, because its was underdeveloped. Sorry readers.
I'm thoroughly enjoying reading MM Dragon romances again. Connor Crowd's Darkvale series is a great addition to this genre. Please look at the individual books of this Darkvale Dragons bundle for my reviews of each book.
I was surprised at how each story flowed with the one before it. The characters were exceptionally created. It brought you into the story. I couldn't put it down until I finished. I am looking forward to the next book.
