Starr is a twenty year old naïve, young woman who has a lot of growing up to do. Being spoiled by her parents, her brother Blake, and her late boyfriend only blinded her to the things she's really supposed to know in life. After dealing with the depression of a miscarriage and losing her man to a terrible car accident, she decides that she no longer wants to live off of her love ones. So, she tries to better herself by getting a job and starting over. Seemingly, things are supposed to get better. However, that's when her nightmares really begins. While hanging out with her coworkers, Amille and Taylor, she meets Chance. Chance is loveable, sweet, and a caring man, but he's also about his money. Being with his girlfriend Ronda has taught him that you can love someone, be with them and not be happy. Meeting Starr only makes things worse in his current relationship. With owning two successful businesses, he needs someone to bring the best out of him to keep him level headed. That person seems to be Starr. However, who said that Ronda would let him leave and have his happily ever after with someone else? In this series you'll meet a lot of scandalous, secretive characters. There is drama on each page, and the action is never ending.

Not for the weak chile!

Whewwww! Where do I begin?! It's so much drama, twist, lies, backstabbing and whatever else you can think of! I could NOT put this book down lol. Poor Starr, she's so lost, but she be throwing those hands lol. Taylor, I feel sorry for her but she's grimy just like Blake. They really deserve each other. And poor Chance, he didn't Know his cousin was doing him bad the whole time. Best believe Tyriq is going to get his. This is a must read! Time to read part 2, Toodles!

Small world

The biggest twists in this story are the many intertwined relationships and the secrets surrounding them. This makes for an interesting read, though somewhat unbelievable. This is not the story I expected based on the title, but it works. I was impressed with the author's bio, especially given her age. For that reason especially, 4 stars.

Wow!

What a read! This is definitely a just can't put down book. There is never a dull moment. The characters are engaging and pertinent to the story. Positive and exciting. On to the next book in this series.. Read and you will be hooked too. Highly recommend.

Woooooooooow!!!!!!

This book is crazy. So much is going on, I can’t believe it. Starr is definitely naive at times. Everybody got secrets and just need to get it together. I’m happy Taylor got her a** handed to her. Tyriq needs to get his and I don’t really know what to say about Sharia. Blake also needs to get it together. These ppl are a mess, every last one of them🤣
