Forget the glass slipper. Ditch the fairy godmother. Fuck being charming. They’ll say this is filthy. They’ll say this is wrong. I say she’s *mine*, and nothing’s going to stop me from claiming my Queen.
It’s hard being King. And being a king without a Queen has made me very hard indeed. A royal ball to find my bride is the last thing I want – that is, until I lay eyes on her.
One look into those deep green eyes, and I know I’m lost. Addicted. Obsessed. One taste of those sweet lips, and one touch of my rough hands on her tempting curves, and I know I’ll tear my whole kingdom down to make her mine.
The world will try and stop this, and say this is wrong. They’ll say she’s no princess, but then, I’m no f*cking gentleman.
Her wicked stepmother wants to tear us apart, but she and the rest of the world are about to find out how foolish it is to get between me and what’s mine.
This is no fairytale, but the lady Emilia is about to find a very happy ending. And I’ll be giving her every inch of my crown jewels.
She’ll be my all. My everything. My Queen.
And I’ve got a big, thick, throbbing throne for her to sit on…
#1 bestselling contemporary romance author Madison Faye is the dirty alter ego of the very wholesome, very normal suburban housewife behind the stories. While she might be a wife, mom, and PTA organizer on the outside, there’s nothing but hot, steamy, and raunchy fantasies brewing right beneath the surface!
Tired of keeping them hidden inside or only having them come out in the bedroom, they’re all here in the form of some wickedly hot stories. Single-minded alpha hero, sinfully taboo relationships, and wildly over-the-top scenarios. If you love it extra dirty, extra hot, and extra naughty, this is the place for you! (Just don’t tell the other PTA members you saw her here…)
"Filthy Ever After" is the story of Emilia and Rian.
A dirty retelling of the classic Cinderella story, this one had -A sexy king in desperate need of a wife -A heroine forced into servitude, looking for a knight in shining armor -A ball (well also two balls) -Some running away and chasing -Mild violence, hot coitus and HEA There is a second tale with Vi's menage, but I think we might explore that later. That being said, 3/5
REPEAT REREAD: October 5th, still my favorite in the series Team King Rian and Queen Emilia! _____________________________________________________________
So worth the wait... This one will make you melt! Loved swoon- worthy King Rian and sweet Emilia in this memorable but sexy modern day retelling of a Cinderella tale.
This is the fifth book in the Royally Screwed series by Madison Faye. Rian is the King of Bandiff and running a kingdom doesn’t really leave time for much else. His advisor convinced him it’s time to look for a wife so he’s stuck at a ball at his palace with a bunch of eligible women vying for his attention. Emilia is stuck living with her stepmom and two stepsisters who are horrible to her and treat her like a servant. Her best friend, Vi who works as a cook for her stepmom talks Emilia into going to King Rian’s ball. This is a short and sweet retelling of Cinderella and Rian is awesome.
I love Madison's Royally Screwed series! This one is a twist on the Cinderella fairytale story.
Rain is the King and he is in the process of finding a Queen. He is not liking the masked ball that is going on in his kingdom. So when he sees a beautiful woman walk into his castle he has to get to her.
Emilia is working as a maid for her stepmother and sisters. She is not happy with her life but has little else to do. But when there is a ball going on at the palace, her friend talks her into crashing it.
When Rain and Emilia get together it is magic. When Emilia runs from him and he doesn't know who she is. He is bound to find her again.
This was a pretty quick, sweet and very sexy story. I enjoyed the fact that Rian wasn’t a manwhore and had been celibate for years and also the fact that Emilia wasn’t a virgin. I liked the bit of drama the story had, it made things interesting. On the downside I found this story a little repetitive, it had some overlapping with book 6. Otherwise this was a completely enjoyable read.
Great read. Slight ow drama from a stalker. Slight push/pull, but didn't last too long. A couple of separations, but each lasted less than a day before he found her. Great story.

Madison Faye is one of the queens of smut and like an addict I keep coming back every single time. She never ever fails to deliver a hot and naughty little story in a small package that guarantees to leave you hot-n-bothered and a whole lot of breathless. Filthy Ever After is her latest standalone novella that tells the story of Cinderella but with a modern day twist.
He needs a queen and from the moment he sees her, her knows nothing will ever be the same, including her last name.
King Rian and Emilia lit up my kindle from the moment they stepped onto the page. They give a little push..and pull with a whole lot of steam and heat to keep you hanging on til the very last word.
If you like your books... safe, short, sweet, and over the top in the best ways then Madison is totally for you.
I really enjoyed this Cinderella retelling and I'm super stoked to see that this series is being extended! Rian and Emilia's story stays pretty close in line with the traditional Cinderella tale - except instead of magic we get sexy times and the fairy godmother is replaced with a baking bestie that just so happens to attract two royals at the ball (but as MF lets us know, that's a story for next time). I enjoyed the cameos from the other couples in the series and also the continuing conspiracy thread that connects all of the stories. I'm really looking forward to the next installment and I will continue to be trash for all things Madison Faye! 3.75 out of 5 wine glasses.
Filthy Ever After by Madison Faye is book #5 in the Royally Screwed series. This is the story of Rian and Emilia. King Rian needs a wife. Due to the past strife, wars, coups, and nutcase stalkers, Rian is ready to find his Queen. He throws a ball to find that special someone and into that ball walks Emila. Rian knows he has found his one, his Queen but before he could claim her, she ran away. Rian is on a quick hunt for Emilia and when he finds her, be prepared for the steam and heat in the story. I enjoyed this book and cannot wait to see what comes next.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
A filthy, dirty, and hot modern-day retelling of the classic Cinderella with plenty of secrets, betrayal, lies, plot twists, some drama, scorching chemistry, an evil stepmother, scheming step-sisters, love, and of course, a happily ever after.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Rian and Emilia come together in this beautiful Cinderella rendition. Its such a beautiful yet dirty story. I don't want to ruin it in any way. So you just have to read it for yourself. And when I say dirty....its the kind of dirty you will love!!!
I loved this book in this series. As usual you have the royal and the female he wants. This had a Cinderella type feeling to it because you had the horrible stepmother and the two even more horrible step sisters. Amelia loved her father even when he married a horrible woman who became worse once her father had died. Amelia was left to be a slave to the family whilst they wined and dined on what money her dad had left her.
Rian is he king and he needs a wife according to ancient rules but he wants to update then and doesn’t want someone who just wants him for a title. Until he sees Amelia at the ball. He wants her and will do anything to have her but she runs just as they get warmed up. With his advisor wanting him to do something different and her stepmother out for blood will Rian get what he wants? Or will an insider kill the king? A great read from start to finish and I can’t wait for Vi’s story.
It’d happened like lightning — something I’d never seen coming that hit me out of nowhere. But I knew there was no denying it. I’d fallen that night, and I’d fallen hard. It was crazy, and I knew that’s not how love was supposed to work, but I knew what I felt.
One of the things I would say before starting this review is that I give Madison Faye credit for not putting on a pretense or pretend to sell something that is more than it is. I appreciate her honesty when it comes to the content of her books.
Hence, “Filthy Ever After”, book #5 in the “Royally Screwed” series was my least favorite of the entire series.
This wasn't insta-love. Oh...no!
This was blink of an eye, “I'm so in love with you I can't live another day without you,” insta lust. It was sooo OTT, not a chance in hell would this ever happen that it makes Disney's Cinderella with her mice friends and fairy godmother turning a pumpkin into a coach more believable than this.
I suppose for me this book didn't enthuse me as much because perhaps of new characters we were introduced to.
King Rian of Bandiff had been mentioned in previous books in the series as a good king who survived a coup against him. He is friends with King Hayden and Duke Xavier who make cameos in this book.
Rian is the typical brooding alpha who is both likable and sexy; a no nonsense type of male. Having lost his parents at an early age he values loyalty from those closest to him and returns it in like manner. But as these stories go, he must find a Queen to bring stability to his kingdom. Rian wants a woman that is real, not some google-eyed courtier or royally bred mare, no, he desires a woman that can make him feel alive and can also stir his passions but also someone who can make him feel like he's more than just a trophy.
To do so he is convinced to throw a ball to find the woman of his dreams. Fat chance of that happening until he lays eyes on a nobody, imposter named Emilia Kinsey, who is really a Lord's daughter but alas has been shoved into Cinderella's shoes by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters.
I liked Emilia enough but wanted to see more of her. Faye does hit the mark at certain times with Emilia's character when she sees the realism of life and shows us her vulnerability.
I still wasn’t a princess. I was still an imposter at that ball tonight, and I still wasn’t what a king like Rian was ultimately looking for.
So, I knew what I had. A memory. A lovely, amazing, scorching hot memory that I’d never forget. But, I knew that’s all I’d ever have with King Rian.
I would've liked this couple more had they been given a chance to develop a more substantial background storyline because they had such high potential.
Their first encounter literally goes from zero to super sonic, warp speed before you can catch your breath, No holds-barred sexy times!
That said, there's plenty of it and language to boot.
One character that did stand out was Emilia's BFF, Vi. LOVED her!
“Yeah? And when you were hiding, did you just happen to fall into a some sort of magical hickey-potion that left those marks on your neck?”
Hahaha!!!
What're best friends for if they're not there to call you out on all your crap, right?
This was just okay for me. Again, IMO the weakest of the series.
But, I am looking forward to reading Vi's story next!

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
Every heard of Cinderella? Well this is kinda her story with a dominant king instead of a prince and a woman who knows who she wants just doesn't think she deserves him. In this book we meet King Rian and Emilia. Emilia is a woman who had it all and lost it all. Her mother died of cancer when she was little. Her father remarried and they slightly after that developed and succumbed to cancer himself. So she is a girl alone in the world. Well maybe alone is the wrong way to say it she has her evil stepmother and witchy step-sisters. However when she hears of the ball that the King is throwing she goes little did she know what would happen when she got there. Rian is tired of the same women hitting on him he is looking for that something more. Being king means you can have any woman but he is looking for a special woman. Little did he know by hosting this ball he doesn't want he would finally meet his one. Can they have a HEA or will outside forces make that impossible?
This book is amazing. It is but isn't like the fairly-tale. It is so much better and so much hotter. This is one of those books that you will lock the door, order out for food, send the kids away just because you can't put it down once you start. There are so many ups and downs I want to tell you about in this book. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this is a much this is a must own book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
Filthy Ever After is the fifth book in the Royally Screwed Series and is a naughty twist on the classic Cinderella story. King Rian is hosting a traditional ball in efforts to find a wife and queen, but everyone is boring until he spies a woman in green. Emilia is escaping her life for one night, showing up at a ball with her best friend, when King Rian catches her attention. Their attraction is instantaneous, his desire for her to become his is like an addiction, only for her to run away for fear of her real life. Can the king find his unnamed queen before her evil step-mother intervenes, or will their short time together just be just a memory?
This book was so much fun to read, definitely a steamier take on Cinderella, and full of Ms. Faye’s delicious instant lust and love! King Rian was full of dedication, loyalty, and definitely went after what he wanted. Emilia was sweet and caring, not naive to her reality as a glorified maid, but also not afraid to reach for the unknown once she knew the king wasn’t just saying lines to win her over. Together, they were dynamite, exploding with passion, tender moments, and love. I loved that the step-mother and step-sisters were just as evil as were to be expected, and I loved how her best friend, Vi, plays into the story, too! I can’t wait to read what happens to Vi! This was the perfect weekend read to escape into and enjoy!
Enjoyed this modern day steamy Cinderella story with the way that only Madison Faye can spin. A Great addition to the Royally Screwed!!! Get ready for the muscled, tattooed, alpha King that will let nothing get in the way of his happily ever after with the one he wants. Emilia is a twenty four year old orphan living in the basement of her father's home and serving her wicked step mother and nasty step sisters as an unpaid servant. When her best friend Vi schemes to attend the royal ball where King Rian is looking for his Queen things take an unexpected turn. Everything seems to fade away when Rian locks eyes with the beauty in the emerald dress and he instantly knows that she's the ONE, the only problem is she won't tell him her name, and then she runs from him. Rian will tear the Kingdom apart looking for her and nothing will stand in his way, or do he thinks. Will Rian find his Queen with outside forces trying to keep apart?? A quick story full of steamy action in the thron room, a sinister plot, a crazy stalker, great friends and evil step family all rolled into this exciting happily ever after story. One click your copy today and enjoy the ride!!! Can't wait for the next story!!!
As far as Novellas go, this went pretty well. This is loosely based on Cinderella. HOT love scene involving a Throne and a bowtie, but ultimately the story itself is the weak point.
Pretty decent descriptions lead to easy visualization of the locations, and the basic qualities of each character. Sweet. Not a dark kind of story. Warm and fuzzy feelings.
I wish more was explored as to each Rian and Emilia's memory, their impressions of meeting as children. Madison lightly touched on that, and it would have brought more electricity to the character chemistry to understand that more. As it stands, we're to believe a marriage proposal comes after a taste of kryptonite pussy and good ol' fashioned magnetism.
I read the next one in the series #6, because it was the other half of this same timeline but explored from this Heroine's BFF's POV... and that one was not bad.. but it has similar weak points that this one has.. logic being one of them. (like security cameras. how is this overlooked?)
Madison Faye writes decent love scenes, but her storylines could use buffing. That's why I rate this a little lower. The love scenes are a good 4.5 to 5 stars though.
Wanting something quick and naughty to read? Well do ya? Madison Faye has written this sexually charged Cinderella novella that will leave you saying, “HOT DAMN!” Faye never disappoints when she writes about her dirty talking, gorgeous royals that want to please the women they are with. Well done Madison Faye. Filthy Ever After is a 5-star novella.
King Rian needs a wife. With past coups, pressures of running the country, and crazy stalkers, he doesn’t have time to date. Emilia would love to go to the King’s ball even though she knows that she is below his station and would never be in the running as a potential wife. Emilia and her best friend Vi sneak into the ball hoping not to run into her step-mother and her step-sisters. Emilia just wants a chance to see the handsome King, but she gets more than a look when King Rian sets his sights on her even after she refuses to tell him her name. Now that King Rian has had a taste of his mysterious bride-to-be, he will turn his kingdom upside down to find the woman who has stolen his heart.
3.5 Filthy Stars Review by Allyson Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog
Your fairytale just became smuttier in Filthy Ever After by Madison Faye. "God, it was so filthy. So dirty. So hot." It is your typical Cinderella storyline with some specifics changed up for the modern age. Madison Faye is known for her fast paced, quick reads with words that will melt your panties and have you hot and bothered at the same time.
King Rian needs a wife, a Queen... When a mysterious beauty walks in, masked and utterly fascinating he can't believe his luck until she flees.
Since it was very similar with a hint or two of differences in the storyline, it was just not my glass slipper, however, I do like Faye's books as I KNOW I can escape reality for a couple of hours and lust after Kings and Princes and their dirty deeds she portrays them to be.
"My instant obsession. My instantaneous addiction."
—>>> Sporting traditional golden masks and one of her nasty step-sister’s latest cast-off designer gowns, Emilia and her childhood bestie Vi crash King Rian’s Royal Ball, where it is rumored he is to choose a woman to become his Queen. They, of course, were only attending due to Vi’s ingenious faux invitation replication skills. But when Rian spots this eye-catching beauty literally across his crowded ballroom and proceeds to give chase, she has nowhere to go when he catches up with her - except through a secret entrance to his throne room. There, Emilia experiences a private encounter which will forever fuel her private fantasies for years to come, but she knows she has zero chance against the other beautiful ladies of his kingdom, let alone her mean step family….Or does she?
It seems that King Rian knows EXACTLY which lady he wants by his side to rule the kingdom of Bandiff …the only problem is, she didn’t leave her name before she fled his ball! Luckily for Rian, there are some familiar royals about who give him support he needs for this endeavor ;-D

I want to start off by saying I love this series of novellas. All are standalones, hot, and bring magic for everyone who believes in fairytales. I also love that there are more to come!
This novella follows the classic fairytale of Cinderella. Great plot to start off and it's extremely hot. Both characters are likeable even with their instalove attraction towards each other. I love that Rian is so protective towards Emilia and that he is so affectionate and understanding. I also love that Emilia is genuine. She stays loyal to everyone. She also has a heart of gold when it comes to dishing out punishment for some.
I also hope we get a story for Vi. If we get one, I'm sure her story will be twice as hot.
