Two broken omegas and one hard-edged alpha… three men who are stronger than they think… especially when they trust each other enough to be vulnerable.
A pair of omegas who are everything to each other...
Not only are they best friends, they’re also lovers. In all the years that they’ve been on the streets fighting to survive, they’ve had one end goal: to one day find an alpha strong enough to love both of them equally.
An alpha without a purpose...
Since his return to civilian life, Beaumont has yet to reconnect with society. Instead, he spends his nights running from nightmares and memories of war. While out on one of his nightly wanderings, the alpha catches sight of two of the prettiest angels he’s ever seen. Intrigued, he follows them home… only to find them taking refuge on a filthy, discarded mattress in an abandoned warehouse.
Three broken men who can heal each other’s wounds...
Beau goes from stalker to protector in the blink of an eye when his angels need him to intervene in a bad situation. Before he realizes it's happening, life as he knows it changes to become something new and precious.
Lukas is the protector. He’s tough, snarky, and would happily give his own life if necessary to protect his Gid. Time and time again, he’s proven his strength by rescuing Gideon from would-be attackers. Now he needs to find the courage to let go and trust Beau to protect them all.
Sweet, angelic Gideon is used to being protected and adored. None of the horrible things in his life seem to affect him, because at the end of the day, he’s always had Lukas... and that’s all that matters. When the chips are down, can Gid discover his inner strength and step up to be an equal partner in this fragile new triad?
This mmm book contains mpreg, and intended for 18+ readers. Possible triggers for attempted sexual assault, violence, and breath play kink. Parts of this book are a little darker than you’re used to from Susi Hawke, but an HEA and all the laughs and shmoopy feels that you’d expect are definitely included!
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
This was sweet, cheesy but sweet. I do agree with some of the other reviewers in that it kind of petered out later. But it was still a nice fluffy read.
I’m so tired of books that start out amazing and then slowly fizzle out. Not that this was a bad book, but after the amazing first 30% I wanted more and I wasn’t happy with what we got..
This started out pretty good with two homeless omegas trying to get by and the alpha who is watching them from afar.
When Gideon gets attacked in an alley one day, Lukas doesn’t hesitate to jump on the assailant. Unfortunately both omegas are not that big so the attacker has no trouble fighting off Lukas. The boyfriends are lucky that another alpha arrives just in time to rescue them.
Beau has watched the omegas for some time now and is finally ready to introduce himself to make them both his. But when he sees them attacked by a alpha, Beau’s protector instincts go haywire and he ends up killing the attacker.
When it looks like Lukas needs to stay in the hospital a while, Beau takes care of Gideon. But when Lukas wakes up, he is not so sure Beau is their alpha, as Gideon seems to think….
Two small omegas, one big bad alpha, some hurt/comfort, I should have loved this. And the for the first 30% I did. But I think I wanted more relationship development, but instead we got sex and two pregnancies. Not a bad thing, but I wanted more romance before that part happened. Lukas was so set against Beau at first that I had a hard time believing he was suddenly very okay with everything.
And the pregnancies took up too much of the story. I love mpreg, but this just felt overly drawn out.
A little bit too much telling rather than showing. I felt like the chapters were too abrupt with the transitions, I would have liked to see more of the relationship blossom.
I am hoping this is like the last Susi Hawke series where the later books are more enjoyable since you know the characters before hand.
This was an odd little MMM M-Preg romance set in a non-shifter A/O universe. Some reviews say this is sweet. I say it started well before it took a dive and then became toothache inducing. I skimmed the last 40%.
My first non-shifter mpreg book and definitely a bit out of my comfort zone. Definitely an orange *smirk*. I love the starting the of book where the two omega MC were being strong and trying to work for their Operation Future. I always love to see ferocious MC against the world. Throw in that protective alpha into the mix and yes, im yours. But then it went down. Sigh, it was so sad to see my ferocious Omega being tamed and became... housepet-ish?! So that part was quite a turn down for me but still, its a nice read.
Great start to another of Susi Hawke's series. Beau is our first Logan brother who finds his fated mated. This is an Mpreg book but non-shifter.
Gideon and Lukas are Omegas who are down on their luck and meet Beau's brother Dallas first. They don't know Dallas has a twin brother. They meet Beau one day at Dallas's gym. Things turn interesting on both sides but tragedy strikes and our adventure begins.
Looking forward to the next book, it feels like Dallas and Kyle but we'll have to wait and see.
This book was unbelievably steamy, hot and kinky. I was really not expecting it, even though I’m not sure why, because at this point I should really know better with this author, hahaha. Susi never does anything halfway, we always get well thought out stories. But really, it was such a great surprise to get the added kink in this book along with a hot over protective Alpha, Beaumont and two Adorable Omega’s, Lukas and Gideon.
I really liked getting to see all of the differences between Gideon and Lukas. Gideon is very obviously sweet and innocent, and Lukas has a hard edge having to protect Gideon for years from people who want to use and abuse him. They have such and undeniable strong and deep bond together it was refreshing to see them rely on each other against any odds thrown their way. The fact that neither of these Omega’s really realized that they could end up with babies was funny too, Lukas is so overwhelmed, and insecure when it happens I felt really bad for him. But you can really tell that Gideon is ecstatic and loves every part of being a homemaker.
Beaumont is a total stalker. LOL. I don’t care what his excuse is, he is totally stalking Lukas and Gideon right from the start and it’s kind of hilarious and total Karma when he gets more than he bargains for with those two and I love how he is totally called out on his behavior. But his protective instincts when it comes to the two Omega's is spot on and I loved that he would literally do anything to keep them safe. And in turn those two Omegas will do everything they can to make sure that Beaumont knows that he is good enough for love and good enough to be happy in life. All three of these characters were fun, and funny, and really cute together. This was a great book.
The three of these men together make for some seriously kinky play together. Like, Whoa…. I was really not expecting that from these guys. I mean yeah you usually get more fun times when there are three people versus two, but throw in some serious kink and this was off the charts H.O.T. I also really appreciated that this was a full MMM, that all three played evenly together and not just focusing on one or two of them at a time.
Audio – John Solo…. Holy Smokes… This might just be my favorite narration from John yet (and I have a few dozen of his audiobooks at this point) the voices for all three guys was consistently perfect, and seamlessly flowed from one character to the next. He gave us three very different voices for the three very different characters and I absolutely loved this narration. And for those times when the three characters got together, I was blown away by how steamy John made those scenes... Definitely recommend this book in Audio version… You really need to hear the extra emphasis that the narration gives you for this book.
Omegas Gideon and Luke are best friends and boyfriends doing it tough, trying to make a better future for themselves. The are waiting/hoping for an alpha that will love them both. Beau is the twin brother of one of their friends. He is instantly smitten with both guys. When the guys are attacked, it's Beau that steps in to help them. The relationship between the three heats up pretty quickly. There is a seamless connection between all of the men. It's fast but believable.. I enjoyed this sweet and sexy story and look forward to reading more.
Definitely an insta fluff. I was expecting this to be a shifter alpha/omega story, but was sadly let down when it was non-shifter. It pretty much was just sweet cinnamon roll/alpha usual. Not much to say about it. It kind of stayed on the shallow end. Lots going on but no depth to it. I like the characters enough though that I'll try out the second book.
I enjoyed these characters so much! I loved that everyone acknowledged how stalkery Beau was at the beginning of this book without it being interpreted as some kind of alphahole possessiveness. It is a bit confounding how Gideon and Lukas were able to live in the streets from 15 to 21 without becoming more jaded than they were, but I found this story to be sweet and satisfying.
Gideon and Lukas are both omegas and are lovers. Gideon is an optimistic, cheerful young man, who is just waiting for the alpha who will come and be The One for both he and Lukas. Lukas is the realistic, grittier one. He does everything he can to protect Gideon and has for years. They are currently homeless, but they have a plan and they are working that plan so that they can be safe.
Beau is a veteran who lived through a horrible experience. Now that he's home he's reserved and trying to put his life back together. He hasn't spent much time with his brothers, and just kind of drifts. But when he sees two angels, he knows that he has to follow them and watch over them.
Beau was very sweet. Yeah, he had some really crappy things happen, but at his base, he's a good man, with a sweet and loving heart. Gideon and Lukas are just awesome guys who work so hard to get ahead and are so happy when they find Beau. I love Susi Hawke and can't wait for the rest of the series.
Sometimes the plot was jerky but the book was good. Nice way to pass time if you need something in between series, one thing though is this author has a lot of room to grow, I’ll definitely keep reading her books.
A polyamorous take on the Omegaverse/mpreg non-shifter subgenre. I can suspend my disbelief enough to go along with an alternate universe wherein there is a special kind of male that can get pregnant. Still, the story needs to make sense given the fantasy-realm elements. This story fails in that. The fantasy world they dwell in lacks coherency. To quote Mark Twain, if the characters in a tale "venture a miracle, the author must so plausibly set it forth as to make it look possible and reasonable." This does not happen here: the world-building is haphazard and incomplete.
For example, there are contraceptives in this universe, but conception supposedly only happens during heat and even then sex has to be done in some vaguely-described special way. As such, accidental pregnancies wouldn't happen and there would be no need to invent contraceptives.
The characters' behaviors are so inconsistent that what a character does in one part of the story does not have a lot to do with what he does elsewhere. The behavior of the main alpha character, Beaumont, is wildly inconsistent and self-contradictory, sometimes he is demure, even wimpy, but he is supposedly an alpha-male, Special Forces veteran, with PTSD who can kill without hesitation. With the two omegas, the author is inconsistent about which of them has what personality trait.
But, perhaps the worst problem with this story is that it doesn't go anywhere. To again quote Mark Twain, the first rule of story-writing requires "[t]hat a tale shall accomplish something and arrive somewhere." This critical rule is not met in this novel. We have characters, there are a series of events that happen, but there is no story question, there is no lingering problem to be resolved, there is nothing much at all. We start with two homeless omegas, plenty of room for dramatic tension there, but this is easily resolved early on. The alpha kills someone to prevent a rape, lots of room for problems, but, no, there isn't even a police hearing. He confesses to the killing and the police just let it go—he doesn't even have to go to the police station. All of this happens in the first few chapters. The two omegas and the alpha immediately move in together, and for the rest of the book they get along great, have all that they need, such slight problems as they have are easily and quickly resolved. Oh, and they have some babies.
The sex scenes aren't even detailed enough for this to count as erotica. Even fluff-piece romances require more tension.
So many things wrong here, and not just the need of better editing. I've pretty much gotten used to writers deciding to take the path of alpha/omega society with no betas and no explanation of what they are that makes them alphas/omegas and able to have mates (human, animal, hybrid?). I really think writers like the idea of mpreg and that's the easiest way to go about making it happen in a story. Still bothers me, though. And then to just randomly drop facts about alphas & omegas with no explanation whatsoever really only served to muddle characterization: 2 alphas weren't allowed to date; most omegas didn't "manage" to stay in school long enough to obtain a career; Beau didn't think every omega needed an alpha (so they'd never reproduce?); Lukas told Gideon they had to "figure out" if Beau was the right alpha for them, meaning there was no special connection, feeling, process, nothing. And how did they deliver children? That's not explained, but vaguely glossed over.
As for the characters themselves: Gideon was ok, just super naïve & immature to be 23yo; Lukas just really seemed to be angry & confused more than anything; Beau was nowhere near as "grizzled and angry" as he was made out to be in the synopsis and first chapter, he just seemed to have an unexplained attitude problem. He turned into a big sap as soon as he got involved with L & G. And what's up with Dallas owning an entire gym but only giving L & G gym membership in exchange for janitorial services (which, I might add, they're never shown doing) but not helping them find a place to stay? And they had a jar of money, which I assume came from Dallas paying them, so why did they need the job at the diner? Once Beau was introduced to them, why didn't he suggest Dallas do more to help them if he felt it wasn't his place? And that back alley scene where Beau defended the boys? He gets a 2 minute questioning on scene and the whole thing is a mere memory after that. No one would ever go to jail if that were real. And lastly, if you are not a fan of extremely cheesy, corny, angsty, and very stilted dialogue, stay far away. I want to see what happens to Kyle in Book 2, but I hope it's not this bad.
♥.•*¨)☆♡¸.•*´¨)☆♡¸.•♥*´¨)☆♡♥ ♡☆(¸.•♥´Could this be my best MMM romance of the season?
I love ménage-à-trois, and when it is written as well as this one was, it makes my day. Known to me writer Susi Hawke has been on the periphery of my reading for a while now. And though I had yet to make her a regular read, this book sealed her writing abilities. I love to be entertained in my reading, and the author had a mix of everything. Romance, laughter, well seasoned heat and babies. Who wouldn't love this MPREG with a twist?
I have stumbled across maybe one other AOO book and I think Susi put it all into perspective. How do two omegas who are clearly in love with each other and care for each other heighten their realtionship? Gideon and Lukas had been the other half of each other for so long that it was no surprise that together their plans including finding an alpha that they both could love and who would love them in return. For war hardened Beau, he was only just re-intergrating himself back into society after a bullet ended his own relationship. Now he was back home to try and connect with his brothers, whom I just want to get to know better. Beau described them as "My oxygen, my gravity, my...everything. His angel and his tiger."
Protecting the omegas when danger came close was as natural as breathing. Starting a family would take a bit of convincing. But once these three got together, there was only happy ever after.
A definite great start to my top five MPREG of 2018...and trust me I have read quite a few. I will definitely be pulling this one back up during my vacation. Take a chance and get found in beaumont, go ahead, one click and enjoy.
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author via LesCourt.
Gideon, sweet angelic omega, totally in love with Lukas. Depending on Lukas to keep him safe and grounded. Lukas, protective, strong and determined to keep Gideon by his side forever. He is a tiger when it comes to his mates safety. Both omega's telling themselves that someday they will find their alpha and have a better life than living on the street.
Beau, hardened soldier, trying to recover from his best friend and lover dying in his arms. Comes home after being gone for years. Wanting to reconnect with his brothers. One night he sees the two angels, follows them and discovers they live on the streets. They don't know it but he becomes their guardian angel. Protecting them, spying on them. Just watching, not wanting them to be his, not realizing it's already to late.
When they are both hurt, Beau saves them. Gideon knows the alpha is theirs, the one they've been waiting for. Lukas isn't as sure but he will follow wherever Gideon leads. Beau realizes he belongs to them too. All three men, incredibly strong in their own right, made stronger by the connection they forge.
Loved (I know, strong word) this book. Gideon was the strongest link in their relationship. Both men loving him, protecting him. Lukas needing him to survive. Beau needing him to come alive again. Beau was the alpha, theirs to love and they nourished his soul. I think every menage has a heart and I believe this one was Lukas. So strong for Gideon, but allowing Beau to care for him, mentally and physically.
Just an overall sweet story. Anxious for Beau’s brothers stories.
Gideon and Lukas have been together for years, living on the streets trying to make it away from their abusive and neglectful pasts. They finally find a place to settle, but it is far from ideal. They are 2 omegas in love with each other and looking for an alpha who can love them both. Gideon is the idealist and dreamer, Lukas is more pragmatic. Beau is an alpha who sees Gideon and Lukas together one day and finds himself drawn to them. The worries about them when he sees they are homeless and takes a protector role without them knowing about it. Beau comes across the guys after Lukas gets stabbed and someone is attempting to rape Gideon, and he moves into the official protector role. Although initially hesitant and jealous, Lukas realizes that Beau is the perfect match for them, and the three of them enter into a hot and steamy relationship.
I liked the three of them together. I thought they were very well complemented to each other, and they brought out the best in the others. It was also fun to watch them shift into what was needed at the moment-it showed their strengths. A great example of this was Lukas (who is normally very serious and diligent) has some challenges with depression and pregnancy concerns, Gideon (who is normally a bit more flighty and go with the flow) took control and did what was needed to help Lukas. They weren't one dimensional characters, and I enjoyed them a lot. I absolutely loved Beau's brothers. They were fun, loving, and a great set of side characters. I'm looking forward to reading their books.

Found in Beaumont is a fantastic first book in Susi Hawke's new Lone Star Brothers series. It is a bit unique in this subgenre due to the pairing of two omegas with one alpha, and I really liked how it changes the dynamic. Gideon and Lukas are two strong omegas who escaped bad home situations together years ago, and have been together ever since. Gideon is a dreamer who believes they will find their alpha one day, one who wants them both and will take care of them, while Lukas is more practical and does not have the faith Gideon does that they will find such an alpha. They take care of each other as much as they can, but are still not where they want to be in life, and there will always be things they can't give each other that an alpha can. Enter Beau, an alpha just returned from the military who came back hardened and a bit damaged. Their paths cross in various ways, but everything changes after an attack one night, and things will never be the same for any of them.
I love the development of Beau's relationship with each of his omegas, and how they develop in ways fitting to the personality of each. Lukas is much more wary of Beau and his intentions, while Gideon is all in. They truly do complete each other, and the chemistry between them all is delicious. This book is a bit kinky and hot as hell! And the pregnancies.. aw. I also really loved Beau's brothers, and I cannot wait for their stories. Susi Hawke definitely has another winner with this series already!
I loved this story. Susi Hawke draws me into another sweet, sexy and funny romance.
I enjoyed that the two main lovers were omegas and wouldn’t take an Alpha unless he took both as a pair. I don’t see this often, so it was a nice twist and unexpected.
Gideon and Lukas are a nice combination of “purrs and scratches”, with Lukas being the gentle scratches with good reason to be cautious. Gideon the optimistic of the two, always had a positive look on finding a good Alpha for the two.
Beau just got out of the military and had lost a lover overseas, who was also an Alpha, finds two omegas he wants nothing more than to protect. Though a little stocker-ish at the beginning, he was doing it for a good reason. Instead of being the typical in your face, take control over bearing Alpha, Beau is quite sweet. Allowing “His angel and his tiger” to take care of him and even make many of the choices in their relationship.
There was light breath play added and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The three men work wonderfully together, really complimenting the strengths they each brought to the relationship and they made me laugh.
“You two either need to up your pillow talk game, or we need to keep both your mouths a lot busier”
John Solo did a great job and helped give the characters a unique voice.
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this audio without bias or persuasion from the author.
I loved this book. Like 1 sitting read it all and am on the edge of my seat waiting for more. Is it rude to bother an author and beg for the next book in the series? First, we have Gideon, sweet angelic(ha-ha) omega. Gideon is an optimist. Who believes his dreams will come true one day. That there forever Alpha is out there somewhere. Gideon believes that Lukas and he will one day be with their fated mate. Then we have Lukas who is, protective, strong, has always taken care of Gideon. He is a pessimist He does not believe that they will ever find there Alpha and if they do would he ever be able to love both of them. They have been on the streets for 7 years taking care of each other. Will Lukas be able to let anyone else their relationship? Finally, we have my Alpha Beau, he was a soldier who had a trying experience while in the service. He had to watch his best friend and lover die in his arms. He is having trouble connecting and settling into civilian life. He does not sleep well because of awful nightmares. One night while out walking he sees two angels, follows them and discovers they live on the streets. Beau is drawn to them and must take care of them. Love that Alpha bond. Can these 3 overcome their obstacles and make a go of it together? I can not wait to see what is next in this series. I am already crazy addicted.
This turned out to be a really sweet mpreg menage about two omega boyfriends, Gideon and Lukas, who find their alpha, Beau. I liked all three of the main characters: Beau and his protectiveness and attentiveness; Gideon and his optimism and big heart; and Lukas and pragmatism and, let's be honest, brattiness. These three worked well together once they got past a couple bumps in the road in the beginning.
This book does have some darker themes, mostly involving the characters' pasts (but also a couple incidents on page), but to me that just made it even sweeter when they were able to open up to each other and ultimately find their happy ever after together. And even with the darker themes, I didn't find this to be high on angst, so it was nice to just relax and read a sweet story.
I also really liked the secondary characters we meet and (minor spoiler alert!) the charity the three MCs start, and how Beau's brothers got involved, too. I think this would be a great setting for some future books in this series -- but I'm also hoping we get a story about Dallas and Kyle, because I'm so intrigued by Kyle!
I'd rec this to anyone who would like an mpreg book (yes, it is very much mpreg) about a threesome and family ... with a small side of dark and a small side of kink to boot. :)
4* Found in Beaumont is the 1st in the new series, Lone Star Brothers, by Susi Hawke. Though the alpha and the story start out a bit darker than her other books, this definitely has the Hawke feel and HEA that she’s known for. Easy to love characters, quirky one liners, and sweet read overall. Would recommend and cannot wait to read the next in the series!!
Lukas and Gideon grew up together and escaped their families to try to build a new life for themselves in a new place. They ended up on the streets for over 7 years. During that time, Lukas is the one that kept them safe and grounded; Gideon is the one that kept them hopeful and dreaming of the future. Beau has spent the last 14 years overseas in the military. After his best friend and long-time lover passed in a roadside attack, he decided to retire.
Beau meets Gideon and Lukas at his brother’s gym and ends up “stalking” them. Gideon is immediately attracted to Beau but it takes Lukas quite a bit to warm up to him. Beau becomes their guardian angel that very first night, and it ends up being a very good thing when he saves them both a few weeks later from a vicious attack that lands one of them in the hospital and all of them in a new situation.
Found in Beaumont, by Susi Hawke, is perfectly charming and compelling.
Beaumont is back home, after being in service, but he's unable to re-intregrate into society after the pain he endured overseas. When Beaumont spots Lukas and Gideon, he is charmed and sets out to protect them.
Lukas and Gideon, are Omega boyfriends who are currently homeless and trying to get jobs and a place to live. They dream of finding an Alpha to love them both and with whom they can start a family.
Lukas and Gideon compliment each other perfectly. Lukas is strong, protective and optimistic, while Gideon is sweet, angelic, and in need of Gideon to help keep him grounded. Then they meet Beaumont, who is a tough, hard as nails former soldier, who is willing to stalk the omega couple trying to keep them safe.
Their path to a HEA is paved with some obstacles and scares, but in the end it is beautiful, sweet and delightful.
Found In Beaumont is a special book. The way the three men come together to compliment one another and love with another is wonderful and unique. I am highly impressed by the depth of this story by Susi Hawke.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
This is the first book in The Lone Star Brothers Series. A fantastic book the writing was great. I loved this book and read it in one sitting. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters intriguing. The characters were developed and thought out. Beau is an Alpha and Lukas & Gideon are Omegas and they are the MC’s of this book. I loved Gideon’s nick name for Lukas it was cute. There was humor, an attack, a gym, swimming, babies, a hospital, brothers and so much more in this book.
Here is a quote from the book, “Lukas looked at me knowingly. “Why do I have a feeling that this has been brewing in your head for a lot longer than the past hour or so since we took those tests?” I gave him my most innocent look. “I don’t know. Because you have a suspicious mind?“ “Yeah, babe. We’ll go with that.”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can highly recommend. I can’t wait for the next book and the next brothers story. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
I liked this book, I liked the stories and development of the characters and liked the idea of the Logan brothers being reunited. I wonder what their stories will be.
Character breakdown;
Gideon: I like how he was shown as shy, soft spoken but had naughty side to him. I also liked how close to realistic he was to someone who went through trauma.
Lucas: I liked that he was a tough guy, honestly thought he was an alpha though. He also had a very realistic feel to his situation, and his reaction to being a parent was heart warming.
Beau: I would have loved to have known more about him, he was fascinating to me but I felt like there wasn’t much mentioned about him. Liked that he had his own trauma too.
Favorite quote: “Angel, how is it that you get so embarrassed by dirty talk when you’re so delightfully filthy between the sheets?”
I will admit this story felt like it was lacking something’s but I honestly enjoyed it either way. Very rare the author has a miss book. Looking forward to the next books in the series!
I loved this book! Honestly. I've never read an Mpreg book with two omegas and one alpha! It's always the reverse. I like that you could see what each person brought to the table. Beau was the protector, he made Lukey and Gid feel safe after having to fend for themselves for so long. I loved the scene where Lukas held Beau down when he was having his nightmare and Gid was kissing him awake. I felt like it was the perfect definition for their relationship in a way. Plus I liked the flip too when Gid found his own in the mix, like sure he's the caretaker but he can also be strong for his men.
One of my fave thing about Susi Hawke books is the extended family and friends! I love books that have those and show continuity and she does that. I can't wait to see what the series holds. Especially for Houston! He needs an Alpha now!!
This book is not your average Susi Hawke story, but she has taken it and mastered it in that wonderful way she has!
We start off with 2 omega's that live in the scary world of the homeless, living on the streets. One is a dreamer the other a realist, put them together and you have the basis of a strong relationship. But something is missing or rather someone there Alpha.
Little do they know they are being looked after by an alpha who is haunted by his past. As this alpha watches over these omega's he just doesn't understand how his angels could possibly survive on the mean and dangerous streets.
When they meet by chance the pull is immediate. When trouble strikes they pulled together and form a strong Trio. This is a wonderful story that will pull your Heartstrings. A wonderful new series I can't wait to read the next installment.
