Well I was nervous for a minute there. I was going oh fuck....the heroine is an activist. That did NOT go well last time. But Her Cowboy Billionaire Boyfriend turned out to be a pretty good read! Great hero, pretty solid heroine.
The Gist: Andrew's been smacked upside the head by a protester's sign. It was an accident! Swear! Instead of pressing charges? Well, Andrew decides she's exactly what he needs at his energy company. So he hires the enemy. Woo!
I liked Andrew. He's a workaholic and feeling worn thin at work but he's a good guy. Wants to do what's right, put a good foot forward, is dedicated. Never a hair out of place--he's the PR guy. And Becca. Well she's a little frizzy, an activist, caretaker of any critter in need. She's a hardworker, too, and dealing with some insecurities.
They worked well together most of the time. I liked that they were what each other needed. A bit of an escape and someone they could be themselves around.
I was worried with her being an activist and honestly thought she caved and joined the enemy a little too easily but overall it worked. There was also a couple threads that were never dealt with-- she apparently had a run in with his dad years earlier and I would have liked that to be followed up on other than her just hating him.
My only issue was another overreaction by a heroine who cut and run when things got a little dicey.
Overall, though, Her Cowboy Billionaire Boyfriend was a fun easy read.

Her Cowboy Billionaire Boyfriend: Christmas in Coral Canyon: A Whittaker Brothers novel 3 is by Liz Isaacson. This third book follows the story of the Whittaker Brothers and it is very predictable in that the brother moves in to take care of the Whittaker Lodge, meets an eligible girl, falls in love, and finally wins the girl’s hand in marriage. It is very predictable; but Liz has a way of making the action so different with each brother that the idea seems to be unique and fresh. The characters are kept to a minimum and are very realistic and natural. The plot is always fun to follow. The book is a great one for reading romance that steers away from over treatment and doesn’t involve a raunchy scene or language. This book involves Andrew Whittaker who runs Springside Energy and who is on the verge of announcing a major project created by his brother Graham. When there is a problem with protestors, he has one of them brought in, not for questioning; but to offer a job. He offers Rebecca Collings a job as press secretary which will enable her to get to know more about the company and may change her mind towards it. That they fall in love is just a wonderful surprise in the book.
I received a free copy and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Another great book by Liz Isaacson. Andrew hires Becca as his assistant after she hits him in the head with a protest sign outside of his family company. She will be helping with press releases and being a new face for the company as they announce their new project. Becca has been protesting this company for the past decade but has had a crush on Andrew for a long time. Andrew is instantly attracted to Becca and on advice from his brother asks her out before she signs contract to start working for them and to keep their dating a secret for now. As things start to heat up with the Becca tells that no guy has every stuck around very long with her. He screws up really bad while they are on the last few days of their tour for their project and Becca puts in her notice to quit. Will he be able to fix what he did or will he lose Becca forever? Will Becca be able to forgive him or will she give up the best thing she ever had?
Andrew lives at his brother’s Lodge and helps with the horses besides working at the company his father started as the PR Director. People are protesting against the company for fracking and sees a woman he has seen protest before. He ends up asking her (Becca) to work for him which starts their relationship. I thought Andrew was a little wimpy for his age and experience. He was attracted to her, but was afraid to let her know. Some of it was because he didn’t want employees in the company knowing there was anything going on between the two. I felt bad that Becca didn’t have a lot of confidence in herself. She hadn’t stayed with a man long, and guys were intimidated by her smarts. I was glad to see Andrew thought her being smart was a positive, and tried to build her up. I was glad to see that Becca was open in her opinions to look at different views. I enjoyed the book, and encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
When you need a sweet romance with two independent adults that stumble once they meet & the electricity sparks!
An activist that is against activists and is protesting at the business. Becca with push and crowding ends up striking Andrew. Andrew is spokes person for the Tracking company she protest. She is afraid of about being arrested for assault. Andrew need someone to help with the press and promotion of their secret reveal and she would be perfect - if they get protester to hear and support their cause that will help the company's image & mission. This is a common theme miscommunication, hurt feelings, pushing through for forgiveness, listening and being vulnerable & honest with your feelings. You know the exact person n this book would be perfect for - give that gift now. Violence 0, Sex 0 a clean romance intimate touch kissing.
Very interesting story about 2 people who really are married to their careers and political positions. When one is in the public eye, it is hard to have a relationship, but it can be done.
Andrew is the Whittaker brother who is most caught up with his career. He is the PR person for his family’s energy company and that takes up all of his time. He is a work alcoholic and seems to be very high strung except when he is with the horses.
Becca is one smart woman who intimidates men due to the fact that she asks a lot of questions and has a real brain. So she has decided to stage protests to help the environment. One of the places that she does that is in front of the Whittaker’s energy company.
When Andrew asked Becca to work for the company as a press secretary, it was something that she could not really turn down. Life got very interesting from that point on for the two of them. I will not give away spoilers but it is light and easy to read story about the third Whittaker brother.
Andrew knows that the protesters outside his family's power plant offices know the rules. So why has there just been an increase of noise outside the windows he and his brother Graham are hearing? When he looks out he sees his mother surrounded by all the protesters. When he gets downstairs and outside he reminds the crowd that they are not to bother anyone coming in or leaving! When he finally gets to his mother he gets hit by a sign. His security detail takes him and his mother into the building and insists on taking the one who hit him also. Becca's bestfriend Raven tries to keep her from going inside. When Andrew finally comes to talk with Becca after getting cleaned up, he does something she never expects! What does he do? What will Becca do? Will they be able to get through all of what happens? Read this great story by, Liz Isaacson to find out!
I liked the premise of this book best in this series. But I also thought it was a contradiction with the title of the book. There was very little cowboy. Some but not much. He spends the majority of the book in a suit and tie. And although Andrew works for his family business and is rich there doesn't seem to be much about that in the book either. It seemed to be more about the company being a big money maker than him being wealthy personally. And it is a Christmas in Coral Canyon series book and there was just a brief part about Christmas at the end. Most of the book didn't feel Christmasy even if the emblem at that beginning of chapters was holly.
That being said, I liked the story. It was clean and I liked the characters. My only disappointment was in Andrew speaking ill of Becca to cover their relationship. He was such a great guy through the whole book so to find him be unkind even if he didn't mean it seemed out of character. He should have found another way to deny the relationship.
I was left with some questions though. Like, what was it that caused the rift between Becca and Andrew's father? There was enough said about it that I thought we'd get an answer but if we did, I missed it. What happens when the coworkers discover that Andrew straight up lied about seeing Becca ? Does he lose credibility? Does Becca continue working in a restaurant? Does Andrew's mother get her own book? I maybe would have liked to have the book continue a little longer to answer some of my questions.
This was a really sweet story and a great continuation of the series. I think, for the most part, Andrew and Becca are adorable together. I loved getting the opportunity to check back in with the previous couples as well. My only real complaint? I have a pet peeve about characters that don’t talk to each other when things start to get dicey, and this book hit that button hard. When a character pulls a vanishing act when the going gets tough, a lot of my warm fuzzies aren’t so warm or fuzzy anymore. The charming ending meant the book goes out on a high note, but it wasn’t able to completely salvage all of my good feelings from earlier in the story. I’m highly motivated to learn what’s going on with the last single Whittaker brother, though. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
This was a cute fast read. Andrew was met in previous novels as he's one of the Whittaker Brothers this series is about. He's the PR face for his family's drilling company. And Becca starts out as a protester, but ends up working for Andrew as his press secretary.
Since we're talking about a romance, there are sparks happening and of course there has to be some sort of tension and that comes from miscommunication.
I'm not usually a huge fan of the romance with the boss trope, but this one actually worked for me. I'll admit that I'm not sure I would have picked it up if it wasn't part of a series I'd started reading, but in the end it was done well.
This does have light inspirational tones. There's prayer and church going, but no preaching and hitting you over the head with religion. And it's sex-free, if you're concerned about that sort of thing.
When I started to read this book, the plot seemed familiar to me. I may have read something similar before. Andrew is a PR executive in his family's oil and gas business. They often have protester's at their offices, but follow agreed upon rules. One day things happen and Andrew is hit on the head by a sign by Becca. Instead of having her arrested, he offers her a job. The two quickly fall in love, but try to keep it under wraps. One day when he is denying their relationship on the phone to someone, he says some outlandish things, which Becca hears. She ends both their personal and business relationships. Will he be able to get her back? I received an ARC of this book and I am giving an honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Her Cowboy Billionaire Boyfriend is a well-written clean romance. I felt with the characters--everything from anxiety to sadness to joy. Andrew and Becca are well-developed, likable characters. I enjoyed the little glimpses into their faith life, into the past hurts they had experienced, and into their family and friend relationships. I loved that Becca fed the strays and that Andrew personally cared for the 13 horses at the lodge. I would highly recommend this book to sweet romance readers and Christian romance readers. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion.
This is another gentle romance featuring the very wealthy Whittaker brothers. Andrew is the public relations man of the family energy company and is also the most stressed! He falls for Becca, his latest employee, a woman he meets whilst she is protesting outside his company. Here are my little niggles, why would he hire the woman who accidentally knocked him on the head with a protest banner, and why would she agree to work for him? The romance is sweet, and it is nice to see the continuing story of the family, but at one point in the book i did want to give him a kick up the backside for a comment he makes about Becca whilst trying to hide their relationship.
Her Cowboy Billionaire Boyfriend: Whittaker Brothers (Christmas in Coral Springs) is book 3 in this series by Liz Isaacson. These books are sweet Christian books and are well written and entertaining.
Andrew and Becca are on opposite side of Springside Energy Company. He is the PR person and face of the Whittaker’s and she is the environmentalist wanting to stop the fracking that is destroying her town.
When these to meet, she accidentally hits him with her sign the sparks fly but can these two find a happy medium and get their HEA or will circumstances keep them on opposite picket lines.??
Emotionally charged romance starring Andrew and Becca. He was an owner with his brothers, Graham, Eli. and Beau of Springside Energy. Protestors came every day to complain about the company drilling for gas and thus destroying the environment. Andrew met Becca when she accidentally hit him with a sign she carried. He hired her to be his publicity spokesperson and his personal assistant. Their relationship did not run smoothly. Loved the family dynamics, all for one and one for all. Loved the ending. Liz Isaacson has provided an inside look at mining companies' environmental problems along with a great romance story.
MARVELOUS SERIES What do you do on a perfectly nasty, rainy, windy day (think scuba gear over hip waders for going outside ;-P) when you don’t have to go ANYWHERE? Especially when you have just downloaded ALL of the Christmas in Coral Canyon books onto your kindle app... =) You binge-read the entire series! I’ve fallen in love with all of the characters-their strong, and sometimes not so strong, faith, their care of family and the understanding that family isn’t always people with whom you are related. What started out as a dreary day, has be a joyous time of meeting ‘new friends’ and watching them grow in their faith and fall in love. *Sigh :) It’s been a LOVELY day!
This was another great book about a Whittaker brother, Andrew. Some people hide themselves in their work, their clothes, their friends, their family. Andrew has hidden himself in the family business so much so that he does not realize who he is until he encounters Becca. Becca hides behind untruths of who she is because of a past relationship. What are the chances a billionaire and a protester for his business have anything in common to link them into a lasting relationship? I recommend this book which is interesting and easy to read. I received a complimentary copy of this story and have chosen on my own to write an honest review.
I found this story unusual and a little fractious because it covers the subject of fracking for gas. I wasnt sure I wanted to read about that subject being promoted in a romantic book. It’s not promoted as such though, as the family history of the company is given as background. The one question not answered, but asked, is why does Becca have very negative feelings about the elder mr Whittaker, and thus his company,? what was their argument about? That question was not answered. The romance was lovely though, very clean and well written
What happens when an energy company hires its number one protester as part of its PR team? PR director, Andrew Whittaker, meets Rebecca Collings when her protest sign whacks his head—accidentally! They begin working together. Sparks fly and mutual admiration builds as they grow close. This enemies to co-workers to more romance shows what happens when people on opposite sides of an issue get to know each other.
Making judgments based on assumptions can lead to eating crow. A wealthy man whose family owns an energy company hires a lady that has protested against the company for 10 years. Tempers rise and sparks fly, but they learn a lot about one another. This is another enjoyable story with well-developed characters and lots of fun. I really like this writer’s books and highly recommend this one as well.
Andrew and Rebecca meet under some painful circumstances. Kinda funny - after the fact. Sparks fly and they quickly feel the heat. I liked how they were able to really talk and listen to each other. There was one thing that Andrew did that caused the angst - well I was really disappointed in him. He did finally come through and romance Rebecca - a good apology is a great start. She was a great employee and made me laugh. Sweet, romantic, frustrating, but oh what an ending.
I enjoyed the characters in this book better than I did the two previous ones (not that there was anything wrong with those). I just found these two more to my liking. Andrew is a nice mix of starched, uptight executive, while Rebecca is the lovely free spirit.
I did feel something was not well explained, and that was something of the argument between Rebecca and Andrew's late father. Perhaps I will learn more of it later in the series, but I despise loose ends left untied.
I like the differences in the two main characters and how public person and private person in each was so different. Sometimes we all play a part to fit the situation and few people know who we really are. One can seem confident and stony but inside not so sure. Also keeping secrets means at some point one has to lie. I really liked the way this story came together.
I really enjoyed this enemies-to-lovers book. Andrew was the PR executive for his family's energy company and he hired Becca, a lady who he met after she accidentally assaulted him with her poster when she was protesting outside of the company's building. There is an immediate attraction between them but neither of the characters are who they seem to be in their public personas. Can they discern what is real and fall in love?
Another handsome Whittaker brother, Andrew falls hard for smart rebel, Becca. Andrew, a PR and Marketing professional, moved to Whiskey Mountain Lodge to be closer to his family and help his brother Graham run the company inherited from their father. Attracted to Becca, Andrew decides to hire her as the company's press secretary. However their mutual attraction causes unwanted tension in the workplace.
Andrew hires Becca to assist him and thinks he can date her without anyone finding out. Becca doubts his intentions because every other boyfriend could not handle her intelligence or questions. Both are very unsure in this new relationship and mistakes are bound to happen. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
One of my favorite types of books to read are ones with tension between the couple falling in love. This book fulfilled that. Andrew and Rebecca have to overcome the fears that often are prevalent in pursuing a relationship with each other. They both grow in their faith of God.
I received this book as an advanced reader copy. I am freely giving my review of Her Cowboy Billionaire Boyfriend.
