David and Tobias were friends, kind of. They knew each other since high school because both of them were in the same competition and they met again in college, both were attending the same college.

Tobias got a bad reputation in college because he liked to slept around and of course David heard of it so when Tobias asked David out, he flat out refused Tobias's offer. I didn't blame David one bit!

Tobias had crush on David since high school so why he slept around first instead of made a move on David? I felt like, he needed to had "fun" first before he settled down with someone or in this case, David. Tobias grew up in in a family who wasn't really affectionate, his parents were busy with their stuff so maybe he was craving attentions from someone and he used sex as an outlet to got what he needed.

I hate Pablo, when I read his story with Keenan I didn't think a bad thing about him but this book clearly changed my mind. Pablo was one bad friend who gave very bad advice! He said "You aren’t exclusive with him yet. You’re a free agent for now, man. You can still fuck whoever you like."
I was like, "What the actual fuck!!" and he wasn't kidding when he said that to Tobias. Tsk tsk tsk.

I felt bad for Tobias because he had a lot of issues to dealt with. He was possessive, insecure and easy to got jealous but somehow he and David made their relationship going with the compromise from both side. Tobias was so smitten and would do anything to spoil David and David learned to be pampered and spoiled by Tobias.
