Some love is too hot to handle…

Heather isn’t happy when her best friend Christy signs her up for a dating app, nor is she interested in the gorgeous, but awkward Blake. Christy, on the other hand, thinks he’s hot, too hot, but is he the one for her?

Things take a surprising turn when Christy learns that Blake is actually a dragon, a being from another world who needs a human mate to bear him a child. Christy isn’t interested in being an incubator for him, but as she gets to know him, she starts to fall for him. Life with a dragon would mean moving to his world. Is she ready to give up everything for him?

His world has its own problems, namely Orcs. Faced with the thought of losing Christy, Blake tries to get her to stay in her world, but she is determined to stay by his side.

Is their love strong enough to keep them together? Or will the Orcs separate them forever?

Totalmente arrepentida de haber comenzado esta serie

Blake de Celeste Raye Serie Through The Portal libro 2

Christy was trying her best to find a hot date for her best friend, Heather. Ever since Heather’s fiancé ran off with a bridesmaid right before the wedding, Heather had been on an unlucky streak of really bad dates. Heather was clueless about using a dating app, but they found a very cute guy and arranged to meet for coffee. Christy hung back to provide interference if this guy didn’t work out. But Heather looked upset, and Blake, her date, looked in pain! The coffee didn’t sit right in his stomach and was making him burp, and it smelled terrible! Even Christy, who came to her rescue to get her out of there, commented on the smell! Suddenly Heather ran for the door and Christy ran after her down an alley.

Blake came from a noble line of dragons. But his father had broken dragon law and the punishment was put on Blake. As a result Blake was not allowed to mate with the female dragons on his world and his line would go extinct. So he had come to Earth to find a woman who would have a child with him. But for some reason, he kept looking at the other woman who was now with his date. He wondered if it would be wrong to switch over to her instead? He burped again and had to force down his dragon fire – setting your date on fire would not win her heart. He told the women he needed a child – and he had money to pay – but both of them started to scream! And about the same time, a black dragon landed in front of them!!! Heather fainted into Blake’s arms, her last thought being that this truly was the very worst of her bad dates!

Blake tried to put a spell on Heather to forget what she had seen because they had to get through the portal now! But Christy grabbed her arm to pull her away. But Max grabbed him and flew upward to the portal and they were too high off the ground to let the women go. This was the worst idea he had ever had! But before he could even apologize to them, they were on his world and the Orcs arrived! Getting the women on his back, he headed toward the castle. Christy and Heather will have to learn to survive on a whole new world, at least until the portal opens again!

I really loved this book! It was hilarious from the first page as the reader watches the Blake’s interactions, first with Heather and then with Christy. The dialog was so funny! Now stuck in the dragon realm – with Orcs!!! – they have to learn to live without coffee! I groaned out loud with Christy on that one! Blake, who had annoyed me in the first book, was actually a real sweetheart in this one. He’s one who gets better once you get to know him. I was glad he and Christy were attracted to each other. Would she give him a chance and find the happiness she couldn’t seem to find at home. This is definitely a fun read – don’t miss out! You’ll love it!

LOVED this innovative approach to exploring a new world and a new ROMANCE!
Incredibly creative, “BLAKE”, Celeste Raye’s newest paranormal romance is a cross between “normal” paranormal and the tales of fancy and fantasy I loved as a child. However, THIS IS NOT A STORY FOR CHILDREN! It is a STEAMY story set in both modern America and Blake’s home world which is accessed through a portal. For this reader, Blake’s world “through the portal” had some of the wonders of Alice’s looking glass! So, even though it was sensuous, the portal world made me laugh with glee at the imaginative genius of it and then had me cringe with the new extraterrestrial threats! As always, this Celeste Raye romance is full of the swoon-worthy hero and heroine her fans have come to expect, as well as her beautiful brand of marvelous descriptions, richly-developed characters, and both a complex and compelling plot. I just want to go through that portal again! While I was given an ARC copy to prepare this voluntary, honest review, I plan to purchase a copy of “BLAKE” to support a most talented author. I STRONGLY recommend you purchase this 5-star romance today. Happy pages! 😉

So good that I found myself so into it that I had it done in a at yer of a few hours. Blake and Christy showed us that live can be found in the most unexpected ways and never underestimate that power. They go through so much just to get to the point of love that it makes us laugh a little. Live can be a funny thing but when you know it's right, it's right. I can't wait to see what the next one is about. Thank you for writing wonderful books and I'm looking forward to many more. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.

This is Blake and Christy's story and the second book in the "Sci-fi Weredragon Series". These two were a great together and had amazing chemistry. The characters were likable and well developed. The story was well written and had plenty of action, suspense, emotional conflict and romance. A very enjoyable read that kept me turning the pages. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

I loved Christy and Blake’s story. Both characters have issues which made them falter when they got too close to each other. How they overcame their problems is a heartwarming and wonderful tale. Lots of action as the war with the Orcs grows closer, will the dragons be victorious? I am so looking forward to the next book in this series.

I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book. I enjoyed reading this dragon shifter novel from Blake's point of view. Amazing how you have a much different feel regarding Blake's and Christy's relationship from their point of view rather than Max and Heathers. Well done Celeste! Loved it again!
