“If you love contemporary romance with a lot of intrigue, steam and twists and turns, then don’t miss out on this book!” -Kitri, reader

From best-selling author Melanie A. Smith comes the second book in a series of steamy contemporary romantic suspense novels.

The time has come to decide: it’s all or nothing…

Fresh off a series of life-changing events, real estate mogul Serafina Evans has decided to pursue the man she loves – the stubborn, intelligent, charming, and devastatingly handsome Alessandro Giordano. And while Alessandro is finally free of the ties that bound him, that revelation was followed by his insistence that he must return to his home country of Italy. So, Sera must track him down and find out why he left … and if there’s any hope left for their love.
But as much as her life has changed lately, nothing can prepare Sera for the challenges and lessons in love, loss, and tragedy that are yet to come. This will include her biggest lesson yet: how to persevere through it all and mend a repeatedly shattered heart to do the impossible – give all of herself to someone. But is it something she’s ready for?

Note: Books One through Three in this series are meant to be read in order.

I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC copy. I was very eager to continue the story. This section of the series was very emotional. Be prepared to be shocked and emotionally scarred. The sensual scenes were not lacking 😉 The one thing that bothered me was the open ending, which always the hardest part of a series when the next book isn’t available yet. It feels like the next book is going to blow the roof off the house... can’t wait!

I had the pleasure of being a sent an ARC copy of this book and let me tell you that this one is steamier than the first.
I devoured this book within a matter of hours. I fell in love with the characters more and more with every page.
I don’t want to give any spoilers away but I will say that this book is an epic love story that will have you hooked with its twists and turns. Melanie’s writing is fantastic and makes you feel as if the characters are a part of you.
A fantastic second part to this series and my favourite book of 2018!!!

This is the second in the series and I wondered if I could possibly enjoy this one as much as the first, and I did, but for very different reasons. I enjoyed the first book so much because of all the authentic-sounding background the author had included around the heroine's career, which I felt added a layer of believability to the book. The second book was more about the characters and how the events portrayed in the book before have impacted on them and their lives.

The author writes very well, and although there are quite a few sex scenes they are appropriate to the plot and I don't feel have merely been shoehorned in for the sake of it - something I hate in most books of this genre. Events move very fast for the main character and this is a very quick read, even for such a slow reader as myself.

I like second books in trilogies, they don't have to waste time with characters backstories and there is nice development of personality. They also tend to end on a cliffhanger, which this one did, but the last book in the trilogy is already out, so that's alright.

No spoilers, but the tension ratchets up quite nicely and you find yourself turning the pages quicker and quicker, wishing to know what's going to happen next.

There was so much I loved about this book, but one thing did make me frown. Not giving anything away, but I was a little unhappy with the complete sea change of the allegiance and emotions of the main character which didn't entirely sit well with me, and I felt didn't quite gel with events in the previous book and indeed in the start of this one. But, I put this down to my being of an older generation who are perhaps a little more consistent in our feelings and it in no way detracted from my enjoyment of the book or the five stars I am awarding it.

First I must say this:
Arrgghhh, I should’ve seen it coming (see me wagging my finger) very sneaky! So without giving away spoilers...
Serafina Evans liked to say “when it rains it pours” in book one and we can all just nod our heads because we’ve been there, when life throws punches left and right and you don’t know where the next one is coming from. That being said, it was overwhelming emotionally to go through all the things that are happening to her in this book. I love the realistic aspect of life and relationships that the author brings in her stories. Unlike typical romance where the main characters swoon and play the “mine” card, in this novel you’re faced with the messy, heartbreaking, compromising and forgiving part of a relationship. You know, the real deal. Secrets, threats, loss and more heartbreak but at the end of the book I must say I was proud of Sera. Not for the romantic aspect of the story but for standing up for herself and sticking to her decisions even when my heart was breaking for her! I hate that I have to wait till October to read the next book. I want more, now! 😀 Definitely recommend these series!

LOVED the second even more than the first!

I love how Ms. Smith is developing this world her characters fill. Tensions and drama simmer and escalate as her lead player's develop beautifully alongside new equally enjoyable side characters. Steamy well written and not over the top sex scenes punctuate throughout. Her characters and storyline are realistic and utterly believable, all the while allowing the reader to be fully immersed into the developing relationships. Cannot wait to read books three and four. Have made a couple of the dishes from the recipe companion as well. ALL delicious reads! Highly recommended.

Okay, Bryce just came out of left field! I loved the turn this book took. I loved the writing, as always from Melanie. Sera is one of my favorite kind of heroines. This story had me hooked from start to finish. Can’t wait to start the third!

I loved this book, even more so than the first. The way the characters evolved, the tension, it had me rooting for them all the way through. I don’t want to give any spoilers away but I was team Bryce in this one. Heading off to down load book 3 now!

Another fantastic read

And I thought the first book was good.. All of Me was a spectacular follow up after the first book. It was intriguing, induced the feels, suspenseful, and mysterious. Filled with emotion and undeniable attractions. A great book in a great series

Loved this! A great follow-up to The Safeguarded Heart. Smith’s characters pop off the page and make you want to hate them, love them, be friends with them right along with Sera. Well done!

You know what sucks? Waiting around in a hospital. You know what made that not suck?

This book.

I pretty much read this cover to cover in one day, I couldn't put it down!

I liked Sera in book one but she REALLY grew on me in this installment. Though this is certainly a romance series and there's plenty of steam in that area, what kept me reading was Sera's character development. How is she growing? Is she going to make the right decision?!!!

You know, by the end of this book I think she did.

However it also leaves off on a bit of a cliffy which will make you want to skip off immediately to start book 3. Which I am doing now. Well, not NOW now because I had to pause to write a review for this wonderful book, but you know what I mean. XD

LOL this book could also have been titled "How Bryce Got Out Of The Friend Zone". ::fans self:: TFZ is not the inextricable purgatory you might think...though it helps to be a tall Nordic ex-seal security specialist.

Something else I appreciate about Ms. Smith's books is her examination of those tricky (or sometimes truly harrowing) situations that can crop up in the business world, particularly when a woman proves she's better at her job than a man who feels like the Keys to the Kingdom are his due just for showing up. The obstacles in this book were very on point to current issues, and rather than run and hide Sera squares her chin and meets them with courage. She's an inspiration to any woman anywhere who might like to run her own show someday.

Roller Coaster!
Tricky, tricky, tricky…
I did not see that coming. But, well, anyway, this review can just be a testament to reading book 1 first. I promise no spoilers though. The first book in this series was great but I LOVED this book! All the characters experience huge life changes that move the series along and kept me up late burning through the pages. I just couldn’t stand not knowing what was going to happen and I’m still left with questions. Now I can’t wait to read book 3.
In this second installment of the series, we get even more into the head of the Seraphina Evans. She’s such a strong character but it’s nice to see someone who has it all together on the outside be vulnerable and overcome obstacles. She’s a very real character and, I have to say, I loved watching the ultimate hero evolve as well. All of Me was a five star read for me and I’ve already grabbed the next book.
If you love contemporary romance with a lot of intrigue, steam and twists and turns, then don’t miss out on this book.

Without a Doubt, A Fantastic Read

One of my favorite things that can happen when reading is to understand what the title of the book means. All of Me, by Melanie A. Smith, reveals its title so beautifully and with so much heart. The second book in The Safeguarded Heart series immediately pulled me in and while I had some theories about the outcome before I even started, the journey was so good getting there. It’s an emotional novel with a lot of layers. These characters are hit with some tremendously bad situations, and for awhile you wonder if they will ever be okay. Yet within these circumstances there’s a bond that becomes unbreakable and true love prevails. I was cheering at the end! Smith does a masterful job at building suspense through out and without a doubt leaves you wanting more, more, more. Now onto the conclusion, Never Forget.

I liked book 1 but All of Me was my favorite by far! It had a better flow without so much time spent in the office. Every time Sera got over the bullshit going on in her life, something else happened and turned her world upside down again.

Despite viewing Serafina as a strong character, I was disappointed at times with her choices after everything she had been through. In the second half of the book as Sera was dealing with her own demons, it seemed like her inner thoughts went on and on. That being said, she made up for it in the end leaving me satisfied!

In book 1 I was mostly team Bryce but wanted to like Alessandro. After book 2, Bryce is my ultimate swoon worthy man who I want to hire as my own bodyguard!!

I can't wait to read book 3 but am almost afraid to as I'm getting ideas as to where it might be headed. Time will tell if Melanie surprises me yet again.

***Content in the Safeguarded Heart Series is for 18+***

I read the bind up of all 5 titles in the Safeguarded Heart and the bonus novelette.
1. The Safeguarded Heart 5*
2. All of Me 5*
3. Never Forget 5*
4. Her Dirty Secret (directly following this is the novelette) 5*
5. Recipes from the Heart 5*

If you enjoy your steam with substance, Melanie A. Smith is the author for you. There is suspense, a love triangle, heartache, recipes (Tiramisu, was my fav), strong males and a lot of steam. This bind up for me was a whole meal, I was not left wanting for anything when I was done. I was also very glad that I was able to binge read the series, now I know where to turn for my steam with substance. Brava, Ms. Smith, Brava!!!

Prepare for some sleepless nights!

I finished book 1 in no time flat because I literally couldn’t put it down. Once I finished it, I immediately purchased book 2. Needless to say, I haven’t slept in a week. The characters are so alive and their struggles strike such a chord with anyone that has ever been in love with someone they can’t have. It’s fast pace and unpredictable twists and turns will keep you guessing and smiling to yourself to the very last page. This series has been a real gem of a find. Now I’m just sad I have to wait a month for book 3 to come out. I loved these characters and can’t wait to see what life has in store for them.

Smith outdoes herself in the second book of her series. I loved the first, so that's saying a lot. The chemistry and sexual tension between the characters is palpable. Meanwhile, woven into the narrative are the inevitable and painful lessons life offers, never at the right time and always compounding other responsibilities and stressors.

Heartbreaking and lovely and honest. At its essence, this is a story about two people trying to find their way to each other. Even with all of the unexpected and unwanted life events, the greatest obstacle to having what they want is the fear within themselves.

Just beautiful. Highly recommended for all romance lovers.

For the first half of this book I was furious with the author and I had no idea what my review was going to be for reasons that I won’t post here because I don’t want to spoil it for you.
Let’s just say that Melanie Smith toys with her readers’ emotions in the best way as we watch the lives of Sera, Alessandro, Bryce, and Allie all fall apart.
I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen and how it was all going to work out. This is definitely a page turner you won’t want to put down.

I loved the first book, and the second installment of the series does not disappoint! It is as–if not more–emotionally messy and sexy as the first book. I've always enjoyed reading trilogies, and the second book is the one where I feel the most because I've gotten to know the characters, I'm rooting for them, and I know there's still another book before it ends.

I see the twist coming, and I had moments of doubt about the change. But I'm sold, and I can't wait to dig into book three!

Wow! What an inspiring book. While I read, I felt like the characters were real people. It’s fascinating how the author changed who was telling the story, occasionally.
Without giving any spoilers: I can relate to Sera’s dilemma. In the first book, I was voting for the former option. While reading the second I was hoping for the latter.

All of Me is a sensational continuation of the first book. I am so happy I have all three books in one go, It would kill me to wait for the next book each time.

when life keeps throwing obstacles left, right and centre and you don’t know what will be coming next, it can be nerves rocking.

Serafina continues to show strength, unselfishness and courage while she navigate through each obstacles in her life.

The plot thickens in this intriguing romance with a lot of steam, danger, twists and turns, secrets, threats, disapointments and more heartbreak. Will Serafina go back to Alessandro or will she choose Bryce? Bryce is my ideal swoon worthy, alpha man and I think he is best man for her.

This story demonstrate just how complicated, love and life can be. It also shows that forgiveness and hope should always be embraced if you want to have love, especially if
You have had your heart broken.

Emily's character is lovely and I loved the friendship she developed with her and Serafina. She reminds of her friend Ally from book one.

There are some deep, emotional elements to this story that caused me tear up. The plot is so deep, the emotions of the characters just jumps off the pages, you cannot help but feel them.

What will happen with Alessandro? Can't wait to find out. Again, the narrators did an amazing job with the representation of the characters.

Me: Oh yeah, I should read this in Italy, because Alessandro said he was going to Italy, so Sera is clearly going to go after him
Me, After Chapter One: I should really stop taking people, especially fictional characters, at face value.

I love Smith's mix of romance and suspense, and this one had two different suspense plots of interest, which really kept me guessing. It also had a lot of heavier topics than I was expecting: loss, depression, sexual harassment, on top of Sera's choices about her own love life, and what she truly deserves. I was definitely in tears for the last third or so of the book. A great sequel, and I'm excited to move onto the next one!

Smith strikes again

I loved reading the continuation of Sera in a Smith's book 2 All of Me.
In book one Sera comes across as a very strong independent woman with a past. Book 2 Sera is in a difficult phase in her life and the people she usually leans on are not there to help her through some tough times. Sera must learn herself at a deeper level to understand the harsh life lessons being thrown at her.
She must decide is a partial love enough. Or should she pursue what could be the love of her life if she's willing to let go of her fear.
Book 2 teaches us that there are many ways to love. Finding the right love for us can be a little more daunting.
Set in Seattle, this action romance was fun, lively and sexy!

It just gets better! This book took me through a whirlwind of emotions, there was so much depth and feeling; heartbreak, tension, loss, friendship and love. Sera went through a lot but remained relatable and honest with her emotions. The writing was engaging, and the steaminess on point! Book two flipped the switch – does Sera’s heart belong to the man who had to leave in order to keep her safe or the one who is always there to protect her? I wasn’t completely sold on Bryce in book one, but boy were my eyes opened and I couldn’t stop smiling by the end of the book. What will the author do next? I can’t wait to find out!

I liked this second book better than the first one.

The story of Serafina, Alessandro and Bryce continues. Alessandro’s disappeared and Sera tries to find him. Bryce is helping her, suppressing his feelings for Sera. Lots of things are happening in this part of the story. With Serafina and also with the people she knows. Hopefully the next book will clear things up and bring happiness for all characters.

“All of me. In exchange for all of you. Forever.” 💕

This is a spoiler free review!
The first book in the series was brilliant, well developed layered characters and a very engaging plot which left me wanting more.
All of Me did not disappoint!
Sera's journey continues as she finds herself torn between taking a leap to see what she's possibly missing out on or settling for what feels safe.
I loved how strong she came across in book 1 but still there's that part of her that's fragile and scared and that makes her a very relate-able character.
Melanie turns up the heat again and this time it left me with fist pumps and also a few tears as poor Sera's world spins out of control.
Melanie does not shy away from putting her characters through the fire and at times I wish I could have a chat with Sera to tell her it's going to be okay, even if I was unsure how it would play out!
The ending was a surprise, but a good one. Melanie brought all the pieces together and put a bow on it! I am looking forward to spend more time with Sera to see where life will take her.

Having read the first in the series I jumped at the chance to get an ARC for the sequel. I loved this even more than the first one. Ms. Smith really hit her stride, packing in about as much emotion as I could take...so much, 'will she, won't she?' I liked that there was much more depth to the story, development of main and peripheral characters (some new and I'm sure they'll play larger parts in book III, Tristen for example!), and a good balance of intrigue and thrill vs the romance.
With only a few people left in her life that she feels she can turn to, there's a particularly touching and beautifully described scene in the hospital that adds a new level to Sera's feeling of loneliness and frustration.
Although pretty complete in itself, it feels a lot like a, 'middle book', and the author is taking us towards a powerful climax. Looking forward to #3!
