This book provides actionable suggestions for improving your morning routine. I found that many were pretty common sense, but the author did a good job explaining why they were crucial for success. I also liked that the author stated some approximations on when one may see results. Often, I see authors suggest similar actions, claiming that "someday you will see results." This author instead makes these more concrete by saying that "you'll see results within x to y months." While I do not know how accurate such statements are, it shows that elements of a routine take more time than a week or two to make a difference in your life.

Simple things can make a great deal of difference in our lives. And they are those simple things we underestimate and overlook. But once you start paying attention to them, you realise the power of impact they have in your lives.

This is a simple book that talks about these things to be imbibed for personal growth. Maybe we all need to read this once in a while to remind ourselves of the little important things.

Overall very ok to read

Short and precise on different topics. I enjoyed it. Kinda motivational, especially when you want to wake up earlier and you're having a hard time with it.

The content is short, simple and easy to understand. After every chapter there is a short summary, those who don’t have time to read the whole book, can read these. Author does not insist on following any celebrity routine, instead guides to build one’s own routine with ten activities that can be followed every day to enhance one’s productivity.

Can be helpful

Though basic, the accessibility of information is nice. However, not all the information was useful and some did not resonate with me. At one point the author writes "when life is trying to keep you down" to motivate the reader to do something suggested. I think this kind of language reflects problematic socio-cultural beliefs, e.g. that life is unsupportive, even actively antagonistic to your welfare and requires your control to overcome it. In contrast, affirmative thinking is a useful ritual and could help the author move beyond these limiting narratives that shape reality and can hinder the reader hoping to move forward.

Morning Routines

To make it easier to adopt these new habits, write down your morning routine on a piece of paper and read it every morning and evening. Not just as a list of activities, but as a reaffirming text to read out loud. Something like “I get up every morning at 7:00 am and take a shower. After that, I sit down and meditate for ten minutes before making my coffee. Then, I…” This will help you remember and stick to your routine every day until it becomes natural.

Good summary of the importance of a morning routine

A compilation of morning rituals based off of the routines of successful people. Nothing in here was new to me but it is a quick enough read to serve as a reminder of certain aspects that I had been neglecting. There are some typos and the writing style is very casual but I enjoyed the book and will be recommending it as a starter guide of sorts.

Quick guide

Good for the beginning if you did not read other guides like that. That is my case. I don't think it was really revealing, I know/do the things described in this book and it is rather a common knowledge. We just don't realize that they have such an influence on our life. It is short and focus on a point, not wondering around the subject, that's why I give it give stars :)

Gave new insight into an old constant!

One thing I really struggle with is procrastinating. Or I'll have too many fingers into too many pots at once. I love her setup about goal setting as a rule of priorities rather than just when just can be done. I'm pretty excited to get started on this! Fantastic book, will definitely recommend! 😀

Instead of suggesting you try someone elses morning routine this book suggest that you find one of your own. Also this book suggest that you make one change at a time instead of completely revamping your morning all at once. I found it very doable. Many of the suggestions are standard, but several are new. Worth the read.

Short bit effective

I have some download this book because of its title but when I actually God town to reading it, clear a lot of things. The ideas presented in the book are succint but drive the point being made effectively. There were a few insights that really connected with me and I realised the crux of the challenge.

Basic

Morning Rituals, is basic information with outdated information on eating breakfast. Low fat hinders the liver from doing its job of filtering toxins. Getting up early is only good if an early riser,. Getting up earlier than your regular time is better. Some people work afternoons, evenings.

It’s okay.

Not bad. I liked her writing style. It just was the usual stuff you hear about morning routines. Meditation, mindfulness, good breakfast, gratitude. As someone who is dedicated to self development, I’ve seen all this before. May be helpful to someone who hasn’t ever thought of a morning routine before.

Quick & easy to understand

I liked how quick it was to get to the point, and how it lists the benefits of each method. I will definitely be doing some of these at first, and see how it turns out. I’m looking forward to it.

Short Impressive Guide

I enjoyed reading this short guide though I knew most of the info in it. However it is a very good reminder for those who lost motivation on morning routines or for those who never tried any morning routines before.

Great content!

I loved the information provided in this book. It is information I knew but the presentation is quite motivational. I would only recommend that Ms. Stone ask a friend with good grammatical and punctuation skills to proof it and update accordingly.

Great little book!!

This is a short and to the point book about how to see up a morning routine. I really like that she only gives the ingredients and not a formula so you can make it your own.
