Guys, I'm going to open with brutal honesty. This book is... not great. The translation is awkward, it's riddled with typos, and there are a lot of plot and character problems. This is not the Next Great German Novel. But-- and this is a big but-- this is fantastic nostalgia fuel. It's really fun to read if you know the toy line, and admittedly it was fun to be challenged in my assumptions of their relationships-- I kept wanting to tell the author that that's not what was going on at all!! All his ships were wrong, according to my 9 year old self and my dolls!

Basically: Go ahead and give this a read if you were a big fan of the Bayala elf figures from Shleich. You'll probably enjoy it, and maybe it'll even turn out to be your guilty pleasure read. On the other hand, it is pretty pricey now, so be sure you're willing to pay up. Don't know what I'm talking about? Please keep scrolling. Or start collecting on eBay ;3

spannende geschichte mit vü plottwists auf jedenfoi ... i konn vasteh warums da 9 jährigen Klara so daugt hod xd

foisi jemois zufällig irgend a kind auf da stroß zaumklaub und mitham nimm und des behoid, donn würdi erm des buch gern vorlesen.
es werden gute werte vermittelt, es kuman pferde vor, es kuman drachen vor, es kuman unausprechbare namen vor (soi i lieber Ey-Ela sogn, oder doch Eye-La, oder Ey-Je-La?)
es gibt wüde gefähliche situationen, wo olle fost obbrennen; es gibt alte grabstätten, wo ma a easy verreckn kinnt, wenn ma ned zufällig vom königlichen blut is

a weiterer pluspunkt san a durchaus da vogel und da wolf ... hobi scho pferde und drachen erwähnt?
ajo und es gibt zauberwasser und es gibt elfeneis und -glas (de irgendwie special san und lava und so aushoidn) und es gibt für ois a obkürzung (a meist durch lava ... oda durch irgendwöche steinpyramiden)

Sehr schönes Kinderbuch!! Kann es nur empfehlen, habe es gelesen, da ich damals ein großer Bayala Sammler war und jetzt kenne ich auch den ersten Teil der Geschichte dazu :)

It's a good story and full of fantastic descriptions, especially if you love fairies. It's not the most fantastic book you'll ever read, and it's not full of plot twists and epic reveals, but it reads like a fairy tale. It has typos and odd sentences, and sometimes feels super stilted, but I enjoyed it.

Bayala is about a young princess, daughter of the Elf king and Elf king. Years ago her baby sister surah was kidnapped. Ever since, life has not been the same. Her mother died after having twins. His heart was broken when Surah went missing. He died of sadness after a search team finally gave up. Now. A new problem is rising. Nuray the doc princess is trying to take over.... Can eyela win this battle or will nuray win?

Kind of boring. Took me and my little sister a good long time to finish unless we sat ourselves down to really read it.
Its an easy going book, slow, descriptive, magical, beautiful, with complex characters that I really want to collect because their all figurines. I actually own the horse and fairy on this book because it was a present an eon ago.

Lo leí de pequeña (10 años aprox.) y recuerdo que me hizo muchísima ilusión porque me encantaban las figuritas de caballos que vendían. Me encantó.
