I wanted to like this. The atmosphere was really well done. But there is a woman and her child who's behaviors seem so inconsistent and out of place for the setting that it irritates me to the point I am not going on with this.

Seriously... she was apparently running around with a bunch of killers for years but somehow has the behavior and inner monologue of a particularly selfish and oblivious suburban mother from the US. Everyone owes her and she shouldn't even need to think of thanking anyone. Her entitlement is absolute. Despite the fact that she is living in a postapoc setting... And her son... is somehow whiny and and frightened of everything, the picture of a spoiled kid... Most of the time. Occasionally it seems like the author remembers the environment they are supposed to be in and what it would take to survive there. But not for long.
