Joshua Werner, author of "Adoration for the Dead" returns to the writing arena with "Rampant." Set in the 18th Century Swiss Confederacy, Rampant tells the tale of a young man who stumbles upon a family's terrible secret that will change his life forever, and will reveal lycanthropy's true origins. With a captivating foreword written by Kasey Pierce, and two engrossing afterwords by Werner, this novella becomes an absolute must-read, setting the stage for a return of intelligence and grandeur to the horror genre. "Joshua Werner's tale of tragedy, heartbreak, and bloodlust is an outstanding homage to the Gothic era of horror. His literary descriptions created a realm that devoured my senses and left me hungry for more.

This story will romance you from beginning to end! Werner paints a very vivid picture of the true origins of lycanthropy. The writing is colorful and raw. I dare say Werner is a modern day master of short story horror! His ability to grip your attention and hold it is uncanny.
