Jade Jones discovered her passion for creative writing in elementary school. Born in 1989, she began writing short stories and poetry as an outlet. Later on, as a teen, she led a troubled life which later resulted in her becoming a ward of the court. Jade fell in love with the art and used storytelling as a means of venting during her tumultuous times.
Aging out of the system two years later, she was thrust into the dismal world of homelessness. Desperate, and with limited income, Jade began dancing full time at the tender age of eighteen. It wasn't until Fall of 2008 when she finally caught her break after being accepted into Cleveland State University. There, Jade lived on campus and majored in Film and Television. Now, six years later, she flourishes from her childhood dream of becoming a bestselling author. Since then she has written the best-selling "Cameron" series.
Quite suitably, she uses her life's experiences to create captivating characters and story lines. Jade currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. With no children, she spends her leisure shopping and traveling. She says that seeing new faces, meeting new people, and experiencing diverse cultures fuels her creativity. The stories are generated in her heart, the craft is practiced in her mind, and she expresses her passion through ink.
Title: Flawless [Five Book Series} Author: Jade Jones Publisher: J.J. Series: Book 1-5 Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Five Review:
"Flawless" [Boxed Set] by Jade Jones
My Rationalization:
Wow, what a story "Flawless" series was with some very very interesting characters that will really have you shaking your head and saying really? When you read this story which is 5 series back to back you get a complete story of some of the craziest people with so much turmoil that one could ever hope to be around. The reader will be wondering who will be left standing as you are turning the pages to see what was happening next.
I was so glad for the ending of this 'Flawless' saga with yes, a few people still standing. If you are in for a little bit of it all in this urban hood fiction you will just have to pick up this series to see for yourself how it all begins and ends. By the way, I hate cliffhangers so it was indeed a pleasure to read this in one sitting [series] that did take me a few days but it was worth it. This author really knows how to keep the reader's attention. And in the end still left me saying Wow what a read!
Let me say this - this book was action packed and drama filled and it was a bit long winded for me. I really wish I could give this book series a 4 but reality, this could have been easily 3 books. After the 3rd book, I was a bit tired of reading of the back and forth between the relationships and friendships. The name for the book series really made me question the writer's reason for it, because nothing about this book was flawless. Questionable loyalty or no loyalty was more suited for this. Kimberlyn and Shayla were the ones I really wish I could have slapped the most throughout this book to the very end. Shayla mostly was naive and as much as I'm glad that she and Romeo were able to make it alive to the end - I cannot think how she craved such a life as a woman of a thug that she made some ridiculous decisions that almost made her die or her partners. Kimberlyn the boundary straddler as I call her probably deserved the life she had in the end with a prison husband and a continued full life of struggles probably - but you never know. Romeo in the end was able to balance out his street life and married life in the end but at one time, I really thought he was a goner. It was a bit sad to see that him and Desmond couldn't make it to the end running the streets, but power - a power trip is something serious and in the end, Desmond ended up in prison and still didn't get what he worked for before. As much as I want to delve into the remaining characters in this book from Cool, Ava, Quay, Quamei Liberty to Ashley, Dro, Apollo all I can say is if you are up for cruel deaths and unforgiveable actions this may be the book for you.
That Romeo really couldn't die could he? And Shayla is really a ride or die chick it was good that he took her to the gun range cause quite a few times if it wasn't for her he would be dead. I hate that Desmond and Kim got locked up first of all she shouldn't have been covering for her son because she see that he need help and I'm sure that what she told them that just maybe they would have sent him to the mental ward instead of just prison. Desmond shouldn't have killed his wife because she was doing what a scorned woman would do and the only thing he had to do was tell her he wasn't going to divorce her. That's why I don't carry my phone on my hip because I do not want to dial anyone by mistake. Quay brother just as crazy as he was maybe there's a triplet somewhere what do y'all think? I really enjoy reading these books keep up the great work
This series was absolutely ridiculous. Hot damn I have never read so much drama in a book ever. This book both gave me a headache and had my heart aching. I have never read so much bull shit in my life. It was a continuation of nonsense after nonsense even to the very end. How could so much happen in one freaking book is like crazy to me. I need drama in a book but you literally over did it in this series. I’m kinda scared to read anything else of yours. But I still gave it 5 stars because it will keep you wanting to know what is going to happen. Oh and I wanted to jump in the story and beat the shit out of Romeo.
There are too many adults with the emotional maturity of teenagers; yet I am supposed to believe they kingpins. Secondly, the author created a world that has too few characters. Cool met Ava his first day out of his prison release. The world at that damn small.
This book was a very good read 📚 👏🏿 👌🏾 👍🏾 I really enjoyed 😉 it. The ups and downs of the story. I loved Romeo and Shayla and even Desmond and Apollo. Kim was a horrible friend. I believe that Kim's son was Cool's son. Anyway I was happy that everyone lived and got was they deserved. Can't wait for the next series!🤗😉
The story line was all over the place. The drama was silly and just for drama sake. Romeo and Desmond were good til the last book when suddenly Desmond was this reckless fiend, when Desmond had been the solid level headed of the 2. Plus too much of the books was just flashbacks. Restating whole chapters just to fill space is not good writing.
Five stars read this series is hot the characters are crazy and sweet and killers at the same time no spoilers you have to read the series to get the spill 😍😍😍😍😍
