Married To A Brownsville Bully 3
With Yoshon stepping up as the head of the Santana Cartel, that leaves Golden with many questions. The first one being will he have time for her and the children? What happened?!
Why make Demin the bad guy ?! His whole baby momma plot twist was just ridiculous and did not fit into the story. It just seemed the author randomly introduced that story line to break Demin and Hazel up . Hazel ultimately ending up with Yolani was just crazy. Honestly I would rather Hazel be single instead of getting back with Yolani . I hated the way the story turned out . I would check Kindle everyday to see if part three was released but this was trash and I was very disappointed. I would not recommend this and was relieved the series ended after part three . I would check out future releases from this author.

Wait…What Happened?
Ok so im not understanding why make Denim the bad guy? I am so hurt because he came back to get his girl just to still be sleeping with his baby mama and on top of that, got her pregnant🤦🏾♀️🤔? that whole scenario is utterly ridiculous and it doesn’t make sense, but ok. Anywho, I think Hazel should just stay by herself and raise her child and co-parent with Denim instead of getting back with Yani. I think Yani should focus more on her recovery and less on trying to build a family with Hazel. I mean if Yani wanted a kid, i don’t see why she couldn’t just go and get her real son and finish raising him. That’s the part that frosted my cookies to be honest. On another note, I’m glad that Yoshon and Golden ended up together and happy with their little family. Yoshon and Golden was the highlight of this 3 book series. Grand on the other hand, im glad that he finally got what he deserved in the long run. Grand was unpredictable and went around sleeping with any and everybody not knowing that he was sleeping with the enemies sister and a girl that had an incurable disease that she passed down to him.
Overal, I love this series. I could have dealt with just Yoshon and Golden because they took over the book. The story could have been based on them completely, but hey, the other characters stories was interesting too!!! i took off one star because of the situation with making Denim the bad guy at the end. Not my favorite. Felt like it got dragged out longer than it should have.
Denim - what was the purpose of him. He came back, “got his girl” only to treat her just as bad as Yolani did. Maybe even worse cause he got his baby mom pregnant and was lying to Hazel about the Cali house.
Hazel - she needs therapy. Girlll is bouncing back to back because she doesn’t want to be alone. I get she didn’t want to raise her child alone but going back to Yolani was not the answer. She’s barely sober.
Golden and Yoshon was refreshing! I’m so happy they got their happy ending together, they deserved that! The book could have been mostly them with side quest for the other characters and I wouldn’t have minded.

Whew thank goodness the cliffhanger ending in book 2 was just a dream.
Big Ben came out the pen and saved the life of Yolani and Gigi as well as let us know the huge secret he and Yolani were hiding.
Mo stood on business and told Hazel I’m your friend but I’m not going to be apart of the foolishness of this farce relationship between Hazel and Denim. I knew there was something wrong with Denim. He just seemed to want Hazel because she was the one that got away. And Hazel mama is trash!
I don’t feel sorry for Grand but I do feel empathy for Alicia. At the end she got what she wanted.
Overall this was a nice messy read and I give the series a 4!

March 15, 2026I did not want this series to end. It was so much to unpack through this series.. I loved it all...Seriously, I'm already missing this series! 😭 There was just so much good stuff to dive into. I'm a little sad it's over, but I enjoyed every single minute of it. It really made me think about so many things, and wonder why...lol...Lets not even talk about the SPICE🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶Dont RUN WALK TO DOWNLOAD IT NEEEEOOOWWWW‼️

To be honest, this book doesn’t even deserve two stars. I had the intention of giving it three stars because I finished the series, even though I knew it wouldn’t be worth it. This book was incredibly bad. It had tons of grammatical and contingency errors, and it didn’t feel like there was a real plot. Most of the main characters were still unlikeable, and to make matters worse, Jahquel decided to perform character assassination on one character to try and justify one of her awful character’s decisions. I just couldn’t stand this series. I don’t think I’ll ever read any of her older works again. Jahquel has grown a lot since this series. Don’t waste your time with this one.

2.4 🌟 Disappointed is an Understatement!
I’ve been riding with Jahquel. J. and this series for a while, but this final installment was a major letdown. After sticking with these characters through the first two books, I was ready for an epic, high-stakes conclusion. Instead, I spent the vast majority of this book just waiting... and waiting... for the actual plot to kick in.
The pacing was completely off and repeating scenes were unnecessary, feeling like space fillers. The internal monologues went on for way too long! Introducing a brand-new character in the final two chapters? That’s just wild to me. It felt totally out of left field and served no real purpose so late in the game. But what truly killed the read for me was the ending. Wrapping up the main conflict (and honestly, synthesizing the entire three-book arc) inside a rushed epilogue is some of the most obvious "I got tired of writing this and just needed to end it" nonsense I’ve ever come across. To have a series you’ve enjoyed end on such a lazy, jammed-together note is insanely frustrating.
Now, let me be clear: I am not putting Jahquel J. down as an author. I love plenty of her other work, and I’m still out here waiting, very impatiently, for Goon 2. But as far as this finale goes, it just didn't deliver. A deeply disappointing end to what could have been a great series.

This book was hard for me. Books 1 and 2 were so good but this book was a miss for me I don’t know what happened to the characters I didn’t like it. The book was a mess and introduced characters unnecessarily.
Hazel had me so dang annoyed I was over that story line all together. She was a support character and somehow she took over most of this book.
Denim was amazing and then did a 180 after doing all that work to get her.
Yoshani and her entire story line was annoying even the aunt that she gave her son pissed me off like why are you all agreeing to the kids never knowing his family and to get mad and tell her brother that’s her son not his. Huh ma’am he was doing a bid and you knew it.

i like how the storyline wrapped up except for denims, i don’t understand why he had to be the bad guy cause ole girl couldn’t say no to her mama. I’m disappointed to see he cheated it just doesn’t seem like him. then to introduce big ben and Gigi briefly i needed more than just a “oh and now they date “ on the last page

A bunch of baloney! Book was a waste of time! Kept adding all these new people and story was all over the place. My head is SCRAMBLED. It was way too much happening in this book. None of the characters or storylines had enough room to be properly fleshed out because we were constantly jumping from one POV to another and moving on to someone else. Then, of course, they all had to connect somehow, which just made the whole thing feel convoluted and stupid.
Yoshon and Golden are supposed to be the one of the main couples, and I felt like we saw everyone but them. How can you introduce a huge plot point such as Yoshon taking over the cartel then let that fade in the back for stupid things. Honestly, even the other main couple, Yolani and Hazel, felt like they got less screentime too 🥴. We spent more time on SIDE characters and their stories.

Yolani needs to focus on healing and Hazel needs to focus on that baby and not being in a relationship. I'm also not understanding why Yolani is fine and happy being a mother for Hazel's child but doesn't want to see her ACTUAL son? I understood her decision to not be involved but then once she started being excited over Hazel's daughter, it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Couldn't help but think about how the son would feel finding out his mother was happily taking care of another child but couldn't even tell me hi.
Denim's twist wasn't surprising but still pmo ngl. It was clearly done to absolve Hazel of the blame and guilt for going back to Yolani. Cause what do you mean youre still with your bm and got her pregnant again please DPMO
Also why is Hazel's pregnant self getting on her knees to propose....😵💫🥴 I just—
I liked Big Ben at first but that relationship with Gigi turned me all the way off idc. What's the age gap in that🥴 and why was he the one to get Yolani actual help and not her BROTHER?! Again just throwing everybody in this book. Was expecting to see a chapter with my name next!

I really enjoyed this series. The character development was just right.. not dragged out like in some books, but also not rushed. The story flowed very well overall.
My only difficulty was following the “flashbacks” in each story. Several times, I had to double check the beginning to make sure I was in the right book because the flashbacks didn’t pick up exactly where the previous book left off. They often reiterated past events without adding much new information. That’s my only complaint. That said, it’s a fantastic series, and I really enjoyed reading the characters grow and come to their senses!

This final book brings all the secrets, drama, and tension to a head. The characters have to face the results of their choices, set clear boundaries, and focus on protecting what matters most. It’s emotional and intense, but this time the story finally gives the closure the series was leading up to. I still think this should have been 1 book not three 🙄

overall, I enjoyed this series with book 2 being my favorite. I’m definitely a quick read to get you out ofa reading slump. cliffhangers, messy, healing, baby mama drama it’s all there.

I did enjoy this trilogy, and I did feel a sense of justice from Grand's death, but you could definitely tell that Ms. J was done writing about these characters and just wanted to get it over with. I just feel like there were some open ends and too much going on for it to end the way it did.

I really thought book three would be better—but it wasn’t, lol. I only kept reading to see how it all ended, and honestly, it didn’t feel worth it. This definitely didn’t need to be stretched into a three-part series.
The story was just boring, and the endings were rushed, all of these conclusions could have been wrapped up in book two. Instead of rushed in the epilogue. Why??? The cartel part was forgotten for the most part, Grape and Mo, what was the point of even mentioning their relationship? Alicia came and went lol and Denim huh???
