a demoralizing story of loss and futility with some damn hot sex scenes
I'm kind of torn on this series. First off, It's well written with loveable characters and rich world building. There is also the smoking hot erotic element that fits the story for the most part and feels natural, not wedged in. Except that the over all mood of the story is one of impending doom and maybe not so conducive to romance.
The book does not mention if Lewd saga is the only fully immersive erotic role playing game in the world. That's an important thing to leave out, because I'd quit this game in a heartbeat given a second choice. What a grim and joyless game (apart form the mind blowing sex). This a fantasy game where you loose battle after battle, retreat, regroup and loose again. Getting to have great sex with fantasy creatures can't make up for watching your world end in fire and death. This book also has digital characters who are self aware, and asks the reader to accept them as real people -And then they die. Permanently. When rare and unique "people" are being slaughtered, their light snuffed out forever, can you still say it's just a game?
It is to the authors credit that she made me care about these fictional characters both biological and digital. Maybe I do feel the highs more intensely with the lows being so dark and deep, but I'm not sure it's worth it for me as a reader.
So, gripping tale of high adventure with sexy lovers engaging in unrestrained passion that left me feeling sad and I almost wish I hadn't started it. You could call it a mixed review.

I found this book better than the first in the series. The only thing I didn't like was how the author would shoe horn the word digital into a sentence to remind you that it was just a game. I think there are many better ways that aren't so jarring and knocking you out of the story. With small flaw I still liked it enough to give it a 5 stars. I like to see authors who can put together an erotic fantasy/litrpg package this good it is worth a read.

Good Read.

The story continues from the first book. A city builder story. The city fights to stay free. Twist and turns keeps you on your toes. With more of the plot is revealed. (Life the previous book, there is adult situations presenting themselves in the story/plot.)

Eden takes it away again. Love the story flow

Amazing, love her writing, the way it blends and correlated together. Truly love her work, and my daughters name as the city is amazing

Repetitive story lines that just became uninteresting after a while. Couldn't finish.
