Not secular- Christian comments throughout. Good information and easy to read format. This one does get a little bogged down in the math, numbers and formulas at times. The math level is above the reading level for the book in a few places which is odd. Easy enough to skip over the math if you are in it for the physics info- which is solid enough to keep me reading.

"Exploring the World of Physics" teaches basic physics within the format of discoveries made throughout history. It included page-long biographies of scientists who made important contributions to our understanding of physics.

The author did a good job of clearly explaining new concepts. The book was suitable for middle schoolers on up, though younger children may find this book understandable. There were useful black and white charts and illustrations. There were also a few experiments that the reader could do with common objects. At the end of each chapter, there were 12-20 questions that tested if you learned the important points in the chapter. The answers were in the back.

The author occasionally referred to God as Creator and pointed out when a mentioned scientist was a Christian. Overall, the book was interesting and well-written. I'd recommend it to homeschoolers and those who want to learn basic physics in an interesting way.

I received this book as a review copy from the publisher.

This book is helpful for those who know extremely little about physics or who need a refresher from their school days. It is not something that I read and retained. That would have meant a lot of study and memorizing - not a topic that I'm interested in pursuing in my mid-50s! However, it was very enlightening and for me, a reminder of how great our God has created and sustained our world.
