This series of Wildflowers books should be made into a mini series of the strong women of the West.
The setting, the events like traveling the Oregon Trail, the California gold rush and development of Oregon, plus the variety and depth of characters would make an excellent storyline. It would be nice to have a faith based program in an Old West setting, showing the challenges women faced. And the star character Clive, who is a foundation throughout all the books, should be played by Sam Elliott!!!
I love this series. God’s word is tucked through out the books. I would recommend these books for anyone that is interested in learning life lessons as well as being drawn into a beautiful love story. I choose this rating because every time I finish one of these books I am searching for the release date of the next! Each character is so well developed that you can’t wait to see what unfolds next. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I really have enjoyed this series, so far. There are always hardships and struggles, as one would expect. However Galina's behaviour and approach was really difficult to deal with. It nearly put me off reading this book. I persisted, and enjoyed the great wisdom on how to deal with the weight if past sins and mistakes shared in the book. Will be interested to read how it all works out in the end!?
PLEASE, get an editor! Your storytelling is wonderful but an editor would catch the grammatical errors. For instance, "I think Caleb had more oatmeal on him THEN in him." The correct word is THAN
Per https://www.merriam-webster.com/words... What to Know. Than and then are different words. Than is used in comparisons as a conjunction, as in "she is younger than I am," and as a preposition, "he is taller than me."Then indicates time. It is used as an adverb, "I lived in Idaho then," noun, "we'll have to wait until then," and adjective, "the then governor."
This is the sixth I the exciting and adventurous book by Leah Banicki. She has done an exceptional job with the plot and the characters, both new and recurring. I have not been disappointed, except that this sixth book has ended with a to be continued. Cannot wait to read number seven.
I've enjoyed the series, the storyline and the characters. One thing that has disappointed me and feel I need to mention is the editing. I couldn't give five stars for that reason. Even names were mixed up in a couple places. There were so many mistakes but Still I enjoyed the story.
I gave book 5 of the Wildflower series a 3 because although it was entertaining the books are simple and are fraught with writing no no’s. They are non the less able to hold the reader’s interest, entertain and what I enjoy is the author’s way of lifting our spirits while setting the mood and drawing on Scripture to weave together her story… very relaxing
Love this series and watching these characters develop and grow. The relationship each character has with God touches me on a personal level. Can’t wait for the next book!
Sometimes our heart overloads our mind, and this is the case of one of the main characters. Banicki does a masterful job of developing each character and pulls the reader into each life.. Great story! Can't wait for the next book in the series!
I've enjoyed reading this story, A Kiss in Winter, the story is one of those things that make you feel a part of the tale. The series is a well told continuing story.
I want you to know how much I love your writing. You have the ability to include faith without being preachy or fake. Your characters are well developed, and I love them all.
The author has woven so many people and experiences together and such interesting characters. I hate when I get to the end "The End". I look toward to reading the next book.
The stories of our friends in Oregon territory are interesting however there lots of mistakes. Some of the names are incorrect as well as the storyline does not always match the earlier books.
Young and stupid has happened to many of us and hopefully we learn from our Young mistakes. This lesson is in this book and one must give their worries over to God
The story was very interesting. I enjoyed it very much. However, the proof-reading was terrible. Several times I had to stop to try to figure what was being said. It was very confusing.
