The second book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series is a gripping tale that keeps those pages turning until the readers has read every last word.

Chase and Rain are two strong, vivid characters that easily grab readers’ attention and draw them into their story which is full of emotional turmoil, magic and passion. The past plays an important part in the lives of Chase and Rain and while fate may have bound their hearts, the past will try to tear them apart which keeps readers biting their nails in suspense as this couple fight for their happily ever after.

The plot is fast paced and has more than the romantic suspense to keep readers glued to the pages as thrills and excitement also inspire readers to dig in and not let go. There is a dangerous enemy stalking the magical city of New Orleans, one that nobody is quite sure what is and since the coven of witches would much rather hound Rain than be helpful, there is quite is a bit of tension added to the story which puts and puts a strain on relations between the wolves and the witches. With a couple of major obstacles to be overcome and a well-orchestrated battle to be won, readers never have a chance to become bored during this thrilling story that takes place in an intriguing world with a wonderfully ambiance inspiring city.

Beneath a Blue Moon(Crescent City Wolf Pack #2) by Carrie Pulkinen was a steamy, thriller mix that had me hooked from start to finish.

Not my first read by this author or in this series. I have to say I am loving the Crescent City Wolf Pack series. The new book comes out next month and I can tell you I'm going to get snacking that up in a heartbeat. These books do read as standalones and does of good job of keeping past info from leaking in, but at the sametime it does followly closy after the first, and there are some spoilers, but like I said, this book is so well written and focused on our MC,s that if you didn't read the first, you're not going to be lost or confused. But I do suggest reading the first cause it's freaking amazing.

Chase, I got to meet him in the first book, but he was a secondary character, so we don't get his back story. We get to know him in this one, and he's got one hell of a story to tell, and it's really sets the stage for his animosity towards Rain at the start. I will say this author does a good job at letting her character meet naturally. Nothing is forced and it really feels like fate is having a time messing with these MC's. As for Chase as a MC, he was great, strong, smart and he wasn't overbearing. He was a normal guy, outside of the werewolf thing. But he wasn't that extra alpha male character that gets triggered by everything. You know what I'm talking about.. his' yet to be girl, talks to another guy, and bam! He's in their face, baring teeth and wanting to break a lim. I mentioned this in my review for the first book, becuase Luck, thier pack alpha, is like Chase, not a jerk. I got to say this pack knows how to raise decent men. It's fresh, and just relaxing to read about just a good guy character that has all the quirks, or making of a bad boy but chooses to not to be.

Rain, she was okay. I mean, I don't know, Chase was such a stand out character that I feel Rain got a little left behind. I wish we would had some background on her story before Chase was brought in. I think it would have made me more sympathetic with her. Going in blind works sometimes, but I feel like when you're writing in third person, like these books are, it gives you room to dive deeper into characters backstories. No one thinks in riggles, and I feel, that when he came to Rain past, it was present that way. Even showing her having to tell the coven why she was cures before the start of the story, would have made for a wicket set up. And I honestly think it would have added to her character and gave her something to grown on and developed her character arc. Don't get me wrong I did like her, and I did like her overall character, it was just, not as impactful as I think it could have been. And it would have made the ending that much more explosive.

Overall I give this book, this series, my super his recommendation and my stamp of approval. This book, on top of being well written and addicting, was just as or better then the last book. I love this magical shifter world, and I can't wait for the next book. Because it's going to follow two character that I've had my eye on from the first book, and if this progression is anything to go on, I have a feeling the next book is going to be nothing short of epic

Happy Reading

Beneath a Blue Moon is the second novel in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series by Carrie Pulkinen. This is my second novel by this author.

When Chase Beauchamp gets the assignment to investigate a witch, he is not thrilled about it, considering his hatred for them, but with a string a murders occurring in the French Quarters, he does the assignment. But when his wolf wants to claim her as his mate, things could get a little messy.

Following the events of the last book, Luke and Chase go wedding cake tasting for the upcoming wedding. At first sight, Chase feels drawn to the witch who owns the bakery and it unsure if she can be trusted.

Rain Connolly just wants to get rid of the hex and not be a outcast and when she meets Chase, sparks fly. She has spent the past seven year trying to unbound her powers and see Chase as to way to finally do it.

But will the two be able to be together?

With the introduction of Chase in the first book, I was excited to have a book about him and get more of his backstory. I was curious as to why he didn’t like witches and how that feeling would hinder his growing feeling for Rain as well as how that would affect their relationship.

Rain I felt wasn’t so flip flop like the heroine in the first novel and that she owned a bakery which I felt was also different. I generally don’t see a lot characters that are witches own bakeries. She was determined and was very interest character to read about.

Like the first book, I enjoyed the mystery and was hooked from the beginning. While this is a standalone and doesn’t have to read in order, there are some small events that may be mentioned as well as characters that may have their own book later on.

For fans of paranormal romance, I highly recommend this series.

Another great installment

Well I've got to say I'm really enjoying these books so far.
Beneath a Blue Moon is the second installment in this series. It's about Chase (a werewolf) and Rain (a witch ). There is alot of trust issues, murders , fate-bound mates and reviving bound magic. A worthy read.

“He’s a smokin’ hot werewolf whose kisses make me feel like a fireworks display with a very short fuse.”

Beneath A Blue Moon is the spellbinding second instalment in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series by Carrie Pulkinen. It could be read as a standalone, but seriously, do yourself a real favour and read book one! You really won’t regret it!
I am so in LOVE with this series- I adore everything about it- the brilliant writing, the wonderfully captivating storylines, and the fantastic characters (yes, even the ‘badies’- because the story wouldn’t be the same without them). I didn’t expect going into the first book that I would love it as much as I did, so going into this one I did have pretty high expectations and I was somewhat sceptical as to whether Ms. Pulkinen could deliver another book that would enthrall me as much as the first- but what I found between the covers of Beneath A Blue Moon is so much better than anything I could have imagined. I truly love both books so much, but I have to say that this one has etched itself into my heart just a little deeper than the first!
It is a great paranormal romance- with shifters/werewolves, witches, the supernatural, mystery, suspense, danger, action, murder, drama, secrets, shocking discoveries, and emotion. As with the first book, the story unfolds against the vibrant and mystical backdrop of New Orleans.
Rain Connelly is fairly new to town, opening a bakery called Spellbound Sweets. She’s a witch who had her powers bound and has spent the past seven years looking for a way to get them back. Owning a bakery has always been one of her dreams and she hopes that she can make it a successful venture. But things aren’t going as well as she hoped, having invested all her funds into getting the bakery up and running, she really needs it to start bringing in customers and making money- or she will be forced to close the doors on her dream. When the Alpha werewolf and his fiancée are looking for a bakery to make their wedding cake, Rain wants to win them over and secure the job, as it would be a much-needed boost for her fledgling business. But when the groom arrives with his seriously sexy and completely aggravating second in command, instead of his bride- things don’t go as smoothly as she’d like. In fact, her lack of filter may have just cost her the job.
Chase Beauchamp is the second in command of the Crescent City Pack (we got to meet him in Book #1) and a good friend of Luke, the Alpha. He’s incredibly loyal to the pack and his family. They mean the world to him and he’d do anything for them. But his past experiences have left him with an aversion to witches- yeah, he pretty much can’t stand them. So, when he’s obliged to join Luke on a cake tasting session, he’s really not impressed to discover the bakery belongs to a witch. When he meets Rain for the first time, he’s taken aback by how much he is drawn to her. But witches can’t be trusted- can they? Plus, he feels that there is something she’s hiding- and he makes it his mission to discover what it is. As strange things begin to happen, he can’t help feeling protective of her and being anywhere near her causes their chemistry to sizzle.
When bodies begin to pile up and the past comes looking for revenge- will these two survive long enough to find out what fate has in store for them. What happens when Chase discovers her secret? Will he understand, or will his mistrust and hatred of witches cloud his reasoning? Will she take the chance to break the curse that binds her magic, or will she sacrifice everything to save the ones she loves?
As with the first book, this story is quite gripping and suspenseful- with a bit of a ‘mystery’ to try to unravel. There are also some funny moments- witty quips, banter and antics that made me smile/laugh. The chemistry between Rain and Chase was palpable, and there were some very steamy moments to be had between these two! Ms. Pulkinen built the tension and the intrigue superbly. I was hanging on her every word and I definitely had my heart in my mouth for the last few chapters- HOLY MOLEY!!!
Book #3 can’t come quickly enough for my liking!!!! I can’t wait to read Alexis and Bryce’s story… I think it’s going to be epic!!!

Thank you, Ms. Pulkinen!

Beneath a Blue Moon is Book 2 In the Crescent City Wolf Pack Series. This is a paranormal romance book from author Carrie Pulkinen, and my second read from this author and she continues to captivate me even more with each read I’m reading from her. This book is written with a lot of detail that makes it completely mentally visual, as though I was along there entwined into the story itself, and I can’t wait to see what else she brings to this series. While these books are written as part of a series, you can easily read these as stand-alone but I highly recommend that you read in order just for you to enjoy this incredible world this author has created.

This book was action packed, suspenseful, fast-paced and thrilling, it has romance, passion & sexiness. This is an amazing read that hooks you in from the beginning and brings you on this amazing rollercoaster of a ride with some incredible characters. We are given twists and turns throughout that keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what could happen next.

Chase & Rain are our main characters in this read, and while we follow them on their journey we also get introduced to new and existing characters.
Chase & Rain have an incredible chemistry from the start and it only continues to grow even when they try and push the feelings away and deny their feelings. It makes it even worse by each of them having their own opinions about each other such as Chase being a werewolf and not trusting and disliking Witches, yet meeting Rain could ultimately change his whole outlook on this.
Rain will do anything in order to get her powers back that has caused her to be different from all other of her kind, but what she never expects is it to happen when she meets Chase. These two have a connection from the start that is undeniable and can tell will be a powerful one. Will Chase be able to put all behind in him in order to help Rain? If so will it help them both get their HEA? With these two real, lovable and enjoyable characters you can’t help but love this read even more!

This is an incredibly captivating and compelling read filled with paranormal, romance and just incredible brilliant storylines and characters. I can't wait to see what else comes from this series and from this author.

Beneath a Blue Moon (Crescent City Wolf Pack Book 2)
By: Carrie Pulkinen
5 out of 5 stars

The story Beneath a Blue Moon (Crescent City Wolf Pack Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen is a paranormal romance book. It is the second story in a series and l loved reading it just as much as the first one. It draws you in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Chase Beauchamp and Rain Connolly. Chase is a man/wolf who loves his pack and his family. He plays an important role in the pack and is always there to help his Alpha. Chase also doesn’t care for witches, doesn’t trust them. How is it then that when he meets Rain he is so affected by her? Why does he feel like he can trust her? Rain is a woman who is beautiful, strong, independent, and a witch without magic. She is feisty, compassionate, and kind. She wants to break the curse that holds her powers, that makes her an outcast. That chance seems to have appeared when she meets Chase. She is also finding herself with an attraction to him. He makes her feel alive. That these two share a connection is undeniable. When they are in a room together the sparks and energy are evident. The feelings/emotions that these two have for each other is strong. Will they be able to overcome the past and find happiness together? Will Rain finally be able to regain her magic? What does their future hold? Will they get an HEA? Read this story to find out. You can feel the passion that Chase and Rain feel for each other. There are some steamy scenes included in this story that have the temperature in the room rising. I found myself growing to love the characters of Chase and Rain with each chapter that I read. I found myself cheering them along and wanting them to find happiness together. Chase is protective of Rain and she of him. I also enjoyed reading about the other characters in the story. Some of them I recognized as they had been brought forward from the first book. This is a story that is amazing and one I would highly recommend reading.

A great read about possibilities. Chase Beauchamp lives a stable life as second in command of the Crescent City wolf pack until a witch is found brutally murdered. While cake tasting for his alphas wedding, he comes across another witch who is hiding secrets. Chase has always been wary towards witches, and it tries his patience. Will he able to put his mistrust aside, can he find out the truth before more supernatural creatures get hurt?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn't put down. Well developed characters like Rain wishing for a better tomorrow even if it seems impossible or Chase trying to protect his pack but still hold authority. Great supporting cast with kind and caring Snow or sweet Emma as a curious little girl. A terrific villain that will send shivers up your spine.
A great example of building upon the fantasy world in a sequel with introduction of witches with their own laws and rules coexisting with the werewolves. the sense of facing the consequences of these laws was perfectly written to create tensions for Rain. The use of magic was spellbinding each time as something sacred but beautiful. And also the curse and the potion was perfectly written with specific rules to create difficulties for the character.
I also enjoyed the witches mythological roots in nature and magic and kindness which is rare in literature. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel in the nature of the park and the storm and rain song as something soothing and intoxicating. Or the bakery with its colour and sense of smell and taste in all the cakes as if you were actually there. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

I read the first book in the series and was so excited when I got the opportunity to review Beneath a Blue Moon. We met Chase in the first book and even then he made a real impact so was thrilled that I would get to read his story next.

Chase is a very good man but he had a big issue with witches, once you learn his reasons you can definitely understand why, he was hurt very badly by people who were supposed to be his friends. But with the upcoming wedding of his Alpha they are pretty busy. When he gets roped in to the cake tasting he meets Rain. The initial meeting between the two had me laughing out loud the two were wonderfully juvenile with their back and forth barbs and Chase constantly needling poor Rain about her baking skills. Rain was fantastic, I really liked her, she was paying a very dear price for one bad decision made in anger years ago. When Chase gets forced to be the official wedding cake liaison he is not best pleased, what makes him even angrier is his insane attraction to Rain. When her past comes calling and placed not just her in danger Chase realises just how important she is too him but can he get over his aversion to witches and learn to trust one and when the secret Rain has been keeping from him comes to light will it destroy what they have managed to build? Can Rain and Chase not only overcome Chase's prejudice but survive Rain's past?

There is passion, suspense, danger, fantastically well-crafted characters and a story that warms your heart and entertains.

I give Beneath a Blue Moon (Crescent City Wolf Pack Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen, 5 stars.
*This review may contain spoilers from book 1.*

Chase is second in one of the largest werewolf packs in the states. He is loyal, but he holds some grudges. One of those has taught him to never trust witches. So when he happens to run into a witch he finds a pull to, he knows that he just has to stay away. But it seems like he can't. His wolf wants her, but can he learn to throw aside what he believes? Should he?

Rain is a witch with a terrible secret. She did something horrible in her past and is now literally paying the price. When Chase walks into her life, she wants him. She sees a future in him. But she cannot get close to him. Anyone who does get close to her ends up paying for it. She will not do this to him. But can she say no?

This is the second book in the series. We met Chase in the first book and I am so happy that this book is about him because I was really interested in knowing more about him. Rain is also a great leading character. She is different than any I have read before. The story is fascinating, it is not just about these two. There is something new terrorising their city. There is action, love, some times you will laugh. It is quite well written and pulled me in right away.

For those lovers of paranormal romance, this book is for you.

I totally loved Macey and Luke’s story in Werewolves Only, the first of Carrie Pulkinen’s Crescent City Wolf Pack tales. Now we are back in this world in the series’ second book, Beneath a Blue Moon. Luke, the Alpha of the Crescent City Pack, is getting married and drags along his best buddy and second in command, Chase Beauchamp (gotta love that name, it reeks of the Bayou), to a new bakery to check out the cakes. That’s where they encounter Rain Connolly, the baker who just happens to be a witch whose powers have been bound via a hex. Rain and Chase have an attraction that ignites between them but there are a few problems such as him hating witches and her actually needing him to break the hex but, owe yeah, what she needs him to do could cost him his life. Pretty star-crossed lover theme going here. Pretty darn amazing setup for a story that’s pretty fantastic to read. Great characters, both returning from book 1 (better to have read this but not at all necessary) and new great plot. Great fun. Frankly, but for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed, I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to Bound by Blood, the next book in this series.

Beneath a Blue Moon (Crescent City Wolf Pack #2) by Carrie Pulkinen
4out of 5 stars
Beneath a blue moon is the second book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack written by Carrie Pulkinen and it’s the second book that I have read by this great author. The characters are great with lit quirks that make them seem real. The plot was great and the description this author gave you a great that I was able to see the scenes in my head.
Chase Beauchamp has had a grudge against witches for as long as he can remember. When he’s tasked with investigating a magicless witch who might be to blame for a string of murders in the French Quarter, the wolf in him wants to claim her as his mate. To his dismay, the man might agree.
Rain Connolly will do anything to break the hex that binds her powers and makes her an outcast in the supernatural world. But when fate drops the answer to her prayers into her lap, she can’t help but fall for the sexy werewolf who can end her curse. The problem is what she needs him to do could cost him his life.
But when her secrets are revealed, Chase discovers loving this witch will put his pack and his family in danger. Can a witch and a werewolf overcome their haunted pasts to find love? Or does fate have other plans for these two?
I highly recommend this book/seres..

Cake, wolves and witches..

Macey and Luke's wedding approaches, when she's facing cancelling the cake tasting again when work calls and Chase teases one too many times about fate bound love she finds a solution.. send both men to decide.

The only paranormal bakery in town is run by a witch, Rain, she's not a coven member and is desperately trying to rebuild her life after a curse bound her magic. She desperately needs the contract to keep her business running but Chase seems determined to block it. What does the second in command of the New Orleans wolf pack have against her? And why can't she keep her mouth from uttering exactly the wrong thing whenever he speaks to her? Is it just his overpowering good looks sending her mind into overdrive or could it be the electricity humming in the air?

Equally Chase is confused, why does he feel an overpowering need to protect Rain? He can't sense her powers yet he can her sisters.. he's learnt the hard way never to trust a witch and yet somehow he wants to do far more than just trust Rain.

They'll both have a huge amount of past to come to terms with but when the final ingredient on the potion to lift Rain's curse is revealed it's going to create an even bigger dilemma.. can she ask him to risk his life for hers? Or will a blast from her past prevent her from ever getting the chance?

Beneath A Blue Moon by Carrie Pulkinen is the second book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although you will be left wanting to read more.
Chase doesn’t like witches and hasn’t for a long time. So the last thing he really wants to be doing is investigating one. But he has been asked to do so and he will carry out his investigation well. What he doesn’t expect though is to find both his wild and human nature’s drawn to the witch in question.
Further investigation shows him that not all is as it seems - especially the witch without magic. With his feelings deepening each day can he put aside his old grudge? And by doing so will it cost him even more than his pride?

As good as the first book it was great to delve back into the Crescent City wolves. Chase and Rain were both equally interesting characters. Their stories were detailed and engaging and merged together so well. I think this is the first time I have read a book about a witch with no magic so it was great to see the author explore this type of character from a new perspective for me. The story seemed to flow so easily, it never dipped or lost momentum at all. A very enjoyable book and overall great series so far.

Beneath a Blue Moon by Carrie Pulkinen
4 Stars

I thought I enjoyed the first book. This one is even better! I was so happy to realize that this story was going to be about Chase Beauchamp, Luke’s right hand man. His love interest is Rain Connelly. She is everything that he could have hoped for and more. Unfortunately, she’s a witch. He’s had a grudge against witches since he was young. Nothing good ever came from his encounters with them. To top things off, he knows she’s hiding something. He plans to find out what.

Rain is cursed and was tossed out of the witch community with her powers bound. For seven years she has been trying to break the curse. She finally got an unbinding spell from an old witch and has been slowly gathering the ingredients. She all but gives up hope when she finds out what is the final ingredient until fate throws a sexy werewolf in her life. Getting the last ingredient could cost Chase his life.

The book was full of action, sexual tension and plot twists. Witches, werewolves and curses. Though the bad guy was evil and hateful, he was a cool antagonist with some twisted powers. I loved the fact that the Connelly sisters were named after their powers. This is a definite must read. I can’t wait to see what the author has coming next.

Beneath a Blue Moon (Crescent City Wolf Pack Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen
This is book two in the series and it follows Chase second in command to Luke the alpha. Chase is wary of witches and avoids anything to do with them at all costs due to an event from his past. When he meets Rain a cursed witch he tries his best to avoid her even though the Alpha has put him on cake duty which deals with her directly. He is fine with just being civil until he realizes she is his fate bound. When an energy vampire begins targeting witches his protective instincts arise. Can he protect her while also keeping his family safe from her curse. Will he be forced to pick between his mate and the pack?

I loved this novel and both the main characters Rain and Chase. Rain had a spunky personality, strong will, and was full of compassion. She looks for ways to end her curse and hates that it causes others with witch blood harm for their kindness. Chase is a great guy. He is dedicated to the pack and to his family. He also sounds mouthwatering from the description in the book. I loved following the romance between the two and the storyline was easy to follow. I could not put this novel down. That’s why I rate it 5 stars.

This book starts a bit after book one and it is Chase and Rain's story. We met Chase in the first book. He is the Alpha's second and a fun guy with an intense dislike of witches. Rain is a cursed witch who is shunned by the coven. Lucas, the pack alpha, and Macy, his detective fiance, are trying to plan their wedding. With such busy lives, Chase get roped into handling the cake. Ooops, the bakery is owned by Rain, who happens to be his fated mate. Rain is such a sweet person and very careful about interacting with others due to her curse. Chase is so conflicted, but so is Rain. They are both afraid of their feelings, but someone is killing witches and they have to find out who. I got so upset with Chase a few times in the beginning and with Rain, too. I loved it when they began spending more time together. When Rain disappears, Chase will give his all to try to save her. This story has such a great plot and the characters are complex and intriguing. I was engaged in this story from the first page. I also love knowing the characters that are involved. I volunteered to read an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Beneath A Blue Moon by Carrie Pulkinen

Four Stars

This story is about faith, trust, kindness and discovery. Rain is living with a curse because of a past sin. She is isolated from all covens and you can see the toll it takes on her. Ok I’m going to need these authors to stop making these men so hot. We read these books and start to have high expectations for the real world. Chase was down right the hottest book guy I have read about this month. I love alpha males that are tatted and have a bad boy side. Chase is a walking talking wet dream. To top it all off he has an amazing personality. I loved how the author put a spin on this story it wasn’t just witches, vampires and werewolves there was so much more. The story was plotted out really well. The curse was a great bonus. Would she be able to gain Chase’s trust? The mystery behind the killing. It was a smooth read that kept my interest from front to back. I loved the unpredictable story line. It wasn’t a boom I know how this will it. It was a dang did that really happen story. I am really excited to see what this author has coming next.

In the second of Carrie Pulkinen's Crescent City Wolf Pack series, we meet Rain Connolly and her sister Snow. Rain once went against witch laws and is now cursed; any witch who shows her kindness has something bad happen to them. As a result, Rain and Snow have developed a way around the curse. As it's been several years, the witch council has sent a spell to undo the curse but when they get to the last ingredient, it seems Rain's curse will never be lifted as it calls for werewolf blood which is against werewolf laws to give. Rain owns a bakery and is hoping for the contract for the alpha wolf's upcoming wedding. When Macey has to work, Luke takes his second, Chase, to the bakery with him for the taste tests. Chase has a thing against witches in general so he gives Rain a hard time telling her all her cakes are terrible. Afterwards, Luke sends him back to apologize. Chase and Rain are then thrown together as he investigates the death of several witches whose life essence is drained. When someone from Rain's past emerges and she's charged with the murders, Chase rushes to the rescue.

I loved this book. It's great reading how Chase learns and grows past his hatred and mistrust of witches. The characters are all well-rounded and fun to get to know. I highly recommend this book although I urge you to read the first in the series beforehand.

So Book 2 was better than the first as far as the ML and FL goes. I liked Chase and Rain better than Macey and Luke. But there are so many plot holes and stupid decisions that they make toward the end of the book to get to a resolution! Take the truth serum. Why wouldn't she take it instead of him? She was the one being accused of murder, he wasn't! There was no reason for the pack's secrets to be put in jeopardy in such a way. Angst for the sake of angst when the characters start out so smart and adult makes them Suddenly look stupid and juvenile and is really just distasteful. Tension could have been built without making them be sudden idiots! Otherwise this book is better than book 1. It loses 2 full stars for the several uncharacteristic stupid decisions to force tension, and failed plot twists! Steam level and relationship between Chase and Rain and for the climax in killing the villain was excellent, much better than Book 1. The book holds at three stars but could have been 4 or 5 if it hadn't felt forced for twists. Still Recommended Read because the romance between Chase and Rain was really good and leaves you with a good feeling! Onto Book 3!

Beneath a Blue Moon Carrie Pulkinen is the second book in the series and is a paranormal, romance. I enjoyed it as much as I did the first book in the series. It is full of magical werewolfs and witches and evil. Who doesn’t like a good shifter story where evil seeks revenge. A curse that can cause pain and misery and lots of action and mystery. Whilst mayhems reins, two of the most unlikely of matches find their way to each other but they have so much pain from the past that will keep them apart. One is cursed the other doesn’t like witches. Will they be able to overcome their differences and finally rid the evil that threatens them all or will curse and mistrust keep them from finding who they really are together? The one thing Rain needs is the one thing she can’t ask for. This story is a great read and I loved the characters. The story was told in several POV’s providing that much needed richness of a full story. I suggest you read the first book in the series and they are a good part of this book as well. Well done Ms Carrie!

FASCINATING STORYLINE!!!!

This was a,really fascinating book! The storyline was intriguing, riveting and engrossing! I had never read any of this author's books and I now have another good author to enjoy. Chase and Rain were two very likeable characters whose romance was sizzling and passionate from the start but at the same time sweet and thoughtful. I liked how kind and considerate they were to each other. I was so afraid that the story would be ruined by too much drawn out angst but to the contrary it had just the perfect amount of drama.... Not so much that it would drag the story down. The mystery and drama, the twists and turns were weaved expertly throughout the story. They kept me on pins and needles few times wondering what was going to happen next. There was a very satisfying ending and an epilogue! I love epilogues so that was the icing on the book so to speak. I highly recommend this book. It is a lovely romance with plenty of suspense and swoonyness!!!😇

Beneath a Blue Moon- Carrie Pulkinen

5-stars

“Our hearts are bound because we’re meant to spend forever together.”

“Some forever’s aren’t that long.”

Beneath a Blue Moon by Carrie Pulkinen is a must-read paranormal book! It’s the second book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series and is my favourite book by this author. It’s intense, steamy, dramatic, action-packed and highly entertaining. From the first chapter I was able to jump right in, I was so captivated by both Chase and Rain that I read their story in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. And now that I’ve finished it I find myself wanting to read it all over again.

I would suggest reading book 1 first, as this way most of the character introductions will have already be done. Plus, the first book, Werewolves Only, is well worth a read. I can’t wait to continue this series with book 3 once released.

I would recommend this book and series to anyone looking for their next paranormal read!

Carrie Pulkinen's Beneath a Blue Moon is the second book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack; this paranormal romance features one sexy werewolf and a caring, but distant witch - the makings of a climatic story!! Each book within this series can be read as a standalone, but by reading them sequentially in order, the reader will learn more about the characters as they overlap into subsequent books with each book featuring a different set of main characters. In Beneath a Blue Moon, the author adds more to the paranormal aspects of this story giving it additional depth and appeal. Chase is one brooding werewolf that is more than just a member of the pack. It's that allure that Rain is unable to deny despite how much she tries. Other forces are at work within this story that makes things less than easy between Chase and Rain - an adventure with suspense and danger lurking plus some serious chemistry!

This is my first from this author and it won't be my last if I can help it. Everything was rich from the world building to character build up and she made me feel as if I was part of it all.

Luke and Macey had heard good things about Rain's bakery so had set up an appointment for cake tasting several times because of Macey's job as detective. so Luke calls on his second Chase to go with him. Chase finds witches very untrustworthy due to his past so since he made things very difficult for Luke he makes Chase hang out with Rain by apologizing for his conduct. Rain is a cursed witch and she needs this contract to make things work for her bakery otherwise she doesn't know what she will do.

I loved how Rain and Chase are brought together and how they kind of heal one another of trust issues and more. This is one book I wouldn't want a fellow enthusiast to miss. I voluntarily chose to read a complimentary copy and have not been compensated for this opinion.

Beneath a Blue Moon
(Crescent City Wolf Pack #2)
By Carrie Pulkinen
5 Stars

This is the second book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack but can be read as a stand-alone with no problem. I am happy to say that I really did like this one. A lot. It was an even better story than book one and I felt like I connected with it more.
The main characters in this book are Chase and Rain. Chase is a were who hates witch’s and Rain is a witch who is cursed. Chase is charged with the task of handling the wedding cake for his Alphas wedding and who knew a task like that would end up with him finding his mate. They get off to such a bumpy start and I honestly wanted to SMACK them both. But I loved the chemistry between the two even when they wanted to deny it.
I would recommend this book to a friend!

Beneath A Blue Moon by Carrie Pulkinen
5 Stars!!!!!

I have to say that I thouroughly enjoyed the second book in this series. I was very drawn into the
crescent city wolf pack yet again. This was another great trip down the paranormal route. The author
has a very refreshing style that draws the reader in and keeps you glued to the pages.

The whole chemistry between Chase and Rain is just electrifying. The way that the whole drama plays out
as they come together grabs the reader and keeps them interested. I really like how the author uses
the many different types of supernatural beings and is able to show the dynamics and differences. I really
look forward to reading more from his author in the future and definitely more from this series.

This is the second book in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series and is just as great as the first if not even better. Carrie draws you in from the first page and keeps you reading with joy until you turn that last page The book just flows making it a pleasure to read.

Chase is a major player in his pack he helps his alpha make sure everything runs smooth he only has one major issue he doesn't trust witches. So why when he meets Rain a witch who can't use her magic is there such a zing between them. Rain thinks that his help will break the curse that blocks her magic but why does she feel this attraction to him. Will she finally break the curse that has made her an outcast will he get over his with phobia and will they get a chance at a HEA You will need to read to see.

I was ecstatic to find this available in my Kindle Unlimited e month trial membership (plus I grabbed the next 2 :) & I can highly recommend this to all adult fans of fiction & look forward to reading more of Ms. Pulkinen’s works :D

I'm so glad I kept reading this series after my initial mixed response to the previous book. This book was great. The only thing that prevents me from giving it a full 5 stars is the dragged out miscommunication trope with I understand why she made the choice she did, but we all knew it was gonna come and bite her in the ass later, and ofcourse it did. But aside from that I loved everything about this book, great plot, great romance, great characters, it fucking slapped. I wish it was a tiny bit longer because the final act conflict was over way too fast, and it felt really short compared to the previous book.
