***3.5 Stars!!!***
The first half of this book was just ok for me. By the time the second half came, my attention was caught! Things began to pick up and suddenly I was entertained!Honestly, this 8th instalment wasn’t my favourite out of the series so far but I would still recommend this paranormal romance to readers who especially like stories about shapeshifter wolves!

It sounds like wolves are not the only creature lurking around in this series! I can’t wait to see what comes next in this world!

This was intense and a lot of fun! As a few reviewers have said, it's a high-action romantic suspense with a really great "Bourne Identity" vibe. At under 50k this technically qualifies as a novella, which makes it even more impressive. It felt like a full meal, not a snack.

One of my favorites of the series. I just have one gripe. I'm not petty enough to reduce my rating, but I am petty enough to rant about it in my review:

👅 👅 👅 👅 👅 👅 👅 👅 👅

Colonel Angus is MIA. Out of (at least) six 🥵 scenes in this book - she gets ONE. LICK.

They have a quickie against a wall, a rough BJ, and freaking anal sex before he finally goes pearl diving. And it's so brief, if you blink, you'll miss it.

Sir. She is not a postage stamp. It takes more than one lick before you... stick it. 👅

He acts like he's swiping a key card to gain entry. 🙅‍♀️ Nope. Sorry. Deactivated. 👅

He needs to speak to the lady in charge before he's granted a ticket to Pound Town. 👅

At one point, he brags that he speaks twelve languages. Maybe he ought to learn Parseltongue. 👅

I had been waiting for Charlie’s story since the first moment I met him in this series. I may not have read every single book in this series, but that never detracted from what i`ve gotten from the characters or the story line. What it did do though was make me want to start from the beginning and go through every single book and see what I did or didn`t miss.

This book was edgy and interesting, making Charlie darker than I`ve ever seen him so far, and at the same time, I couldn`t get enough of seeing him struggle with his inner wolf – maybe a little sadistic on my part, but this author duo have managed to really describe the struggle that goes on in a new werewolf incredibly well (and this is comparing with other authors from this genre).

I`m hoping that this won`t be the last that we see of either these characters or this series because i`m really enjoying it, really getting into it, and it`s a huge difference from any other books that i`ve read from Renee Rose so far, and it`s an amazing diversion from any other book genre. There`s something about paranormal romances that makes you forget about your daily struggles and makes you appreciate it. I can`t wait to read more from these two in the future, whether it is individually or as a duo!

Oh, poor Agent Dune. He had no idea what he was getting into the past few books. But now that he is fully changing into his wolf and has met his mate he is in for a whole new life. Dune is still getting used to his wolf, and everything that goes with it. Now he is trying to help his handler Annabel.

Annabel has decided to look into her fathers' death. She had no idea that it would drop her into the CIA's grip. Now she needs Dune's help more than anything. But she can't figure out what is different about him. Yes, he is CIA and is suppose to be different when undercover and such, but there is just something that she can't put her finger on.

These two have known each other for years, have worked together to keep Dune safe. But now they have to work closely together to keep Annabel from being killed. Will Dune be able to keep his wolf from claiming what he thinks is his?

Another great story from these two wonderful authors!

Having gotten glimpses of Charlie earlier in the Bad Boy Alpha series, I have to say I have been eagerly waiting on his story. And trust me his story was worth the wait! Charlie is a CIA agent that recently discovered his wolf side. Sadly, he doesn't have much control over his shifting and he is way too stubborn to ask for help. So when he finds himself in tight quarters with his handler Annabel there are some definite problems, one of which being she is his mate even if neither acknowledges it. And oh yeah, it's a full moon. Compounding those issues is the fact that there are people determined to kill Annabel to keep secrets quiet. All of this means that this story will take you on one wild and steamy ride!

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Great alpha shifter romance novel. He is a new wold shifter still learning control while having no clue what is going on. She is his handler at the CIA so of course they have to ne attracted to each other. Add in a dose of danger adrenaline to get one hot romance novel as they try to stay one step ahead of the people after them. Great development and enough twists to keep you hooked in between the romance development. If you enjoy the genre this is a good book for you. I really liked it so i give it 4/5 stars.

Her secret agent man

I probably say this with each new book, but I really think this is my favorite book of the series. There is just something about Charlie that draws you in. I don’t know if it’s his tough no nonsense exterior or the soft gooey center that only seems to come out for Annabel, but he just keeps the interest flowing. The story is so intense and full of emotion that I was enthralled from the first page. This was a HEA that I have been hoping for. I can’t wait to read the next book.

A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE I DON’T WANT TO END

The eighth story will have Agent Charlie Dune from Alpha’s War and his CIA handler, Annabel Gray teaming up in this edge-of-your-seat life-and-death adventure. While each of these books is designed to read as a stand-alone, they compliment each other and have characters and situations from previous stories. I was so engrossed in the tale of Annabel and Charlie that I did not want to put the book down.

Charlie has just recently discovered he was a wolf and is confused about it and what is happening to him. He is also remembering memories of a wolf from when he was a child, realizing that that large silver wolf was his father. He had asked Annabelle to help him on a private matter and told her he would return that favor.

Annabel Gray works for the CIA but not in the field, instead, she is a handler and able to do work on the computer, which includes hacking into the CIA database. What a shock when she comes across records on her father, a Marine that was killed in the line of duty out of the country when she was just a child. But what is this about him working for the CIA? With parts of the records have been redacted and that makes her more curious.

The plot will have Annabel upset when she can’t reach Charlie for a mission and assuming he is out with a woman. These two have secret feelings for one another but know that it can go nowhere.
Charlie will go out on the new assignment, but something is seriously off with the man he is following. With Charlie’s new wolf senses, there is something supernatural about his mark, and he will have to leave the case. But then he will get involved with Annabel on her discovery about her father and the CIA.

What happens when Annabel sets off alarms within the CIA and top officials? She will be verbally reprimanded and told to stand down, something she just can’t do. Now Charlie becomes involved when it looks like someone is not only after Annabel but her sister and nephew too. Is this the snapping point for these two to act on their feelings?

“Sex with you was completely out of my control. I didn’t plan it, I don’t know if it was wise, but there was no helping it. What I feel for you is pure, raw animal magnetism. The only thing that would’ve stopped me was you. I’ll always respect your wishes. I hope you know that. It’s not a requirement for my help.”

The story takes on life and death situations when someone is after Annabel, Sarah, and Grady. Charlie will have to deploy many of his talents in evasive maneuvers, illegal seizures, and calling in favors. It will mean hiding Sarah and Grady while Annabel and Charlie go to Washington, DC to try and uncover the truth. But people who are supposed to be friends may be wolves in sheep clothing.

“We’re in this together now. No going back. I’m going to keep you safe. Okay?”

Once Annabel and Charlie become lovers they can’t get enough of each other. But Charlie knows the full moon is fast approaching, and the wolf is wanting out. He fears he will be dangerous to Annabel and tries to stay away but he can’t, there is an internal pull that is drawing him closer to her, a need to protect, claim, and mate her. What will happen when he loses control and bites her?

“I’ve reached my quota of crazy.”

The story will take on the battle of good versus evil, but it will also come with an unlikely source for assistance. There will be more surprises in store, and not everyone who calls themselves a friend will honestly be. Charlie learns he can’t remain a lone wolf as he has since his career in the military and then the CIA. He will need to reach out to friends in Tucson and had he trusted them sooner; it would have helped answer questions. He has already given up too much for his country, and he isn’t willing to sacrifice Annabel too.

The story has explicit sex scenes, mild spanking and a growing relationship between Annabel and Charlie. But best of all, it has healing, a closure on the past, and happiness for the future.

Every time I read the newest book in this series, I think wow, these ladies can't top this book. Then they come up with the next one and it never fails, it's better. I don't know what it is, but there it is. That means that I am always sucked into the book and into the series and I can never wait for the next one to come out.

Charlie Dune is a superspy. For years, he's been trying to figure out what was up with his dad and with his friend Nash. At one point, Charlie tried busting the Tucson werewolf pack, but then turned around and helped them and Nash. That's when Charlie found out that he had a secret too. Now he's kind of out-of-control and trying to figure out what's going on with himself.

Annabel has been Charlie's handler for years. She helped him out in a bind, and then she started doing her own research into her history. When it turns bad, she turns to Charlie for help. But she doesn't know everything about Charlie. She does know that she wants him and when she's around him, she feels safe.

One thing that I like about these books is that each of the books, while they are within the series and its framework, is different from the one before it. Charlie's story was different to Nash's story, which was different to Tank's, and so on and so forth. It's a really great way to keep everything going and make everyone happy. Annabel is fearsome and fierce. She's not afraid to stand up to anyone and search for what she's looking for. She's also fiercely loyal to her family and the people she loves. Charlie needs to get his head out of his derriere sometimes, but he's a good man who loves Annabel and all he wants is for her to be safe. They are terrific together and are a serious force to be reckoned with.

Man what can I say this is another author duo with Ms. Savino involved that rocks me. Charlie is an agent with the CIA his handler is Annabel. In the last book Charlie had asked Annabel for a personal favor in which she now requests the same from him.

Annabel has been looking for information in to the exact reason for her father's death and she has been asked by her boss to quit while she is ahead but she just cannot she needs closure and understanding. She needs Charlie's help as she put herself and her sister and nephew in danger.

Both Charlie and Annabel have feelings for the other but will they get involved beyond the shocking need for the other. Will Charlie in the process discover more about the monster part of himself. Is he a danger to Annabel and her family/

I absolutely could not put this story down, too much adrenaline running through me along with Charlie and Annabel. i highly recommend this to others that enjoy wolfish charms. I voluntarily read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion.

Oh my gosh! This world looks a little different when seen from the outside, and, for the most part, I loved seeing it from the view of a complete novice. Charlie Dune doesn’t understand what he is. This frustrated me more than just a little since he has access to help and knowledge but insists on navigating his new paranormal status all on his own. Annabel is on the trail of a mystery that could affect the heart of the CIA and even up into the higher levels of government. I thought this was a little farfetched, but it made for an interesting Bourne meets Wolverine feel to the story. I’m not sure what’s left for this group to face, but I’m interested in finding out.

Absolutely loved this addition to the series. I have been intrigued by Charlie since we met him & after his heroics in the last book I really wanted his story.. Annabel was a fantastic, kick ass female lead. Loved their friendship, comraderie/trust that grew into reality. Plenty of heat & lots of feelings in this one. Think it might be my favourite in the series so far. They just keep getting better! Great read.

Wow! I think out of the books in this series, so far this is my favorite. Charlie has gone rouge and Anabelle is sent to take care of him. But when someone comes after her, Charlie knows that she needs him. Will they make it out? And will Charlie stay rouge? How I loved this book and the characters were just so real. You can feel the emotions come through on each page. Love this book!!!

I can't say enough about Charlie Dune. He made my heart palpitate. His alpha wolf was take charge, and sexy as hell. I wished several times that I was his handler. I loved the suspense of who done it and what would happen next for these two as they fought for the truth and their love. I am never disappointed when I open up an Alpha story by these two awesome read

I am truly enjoying this series. The characters are full of depth, almost believable. I also like the way there are subtle plot twists, just dropping hints of more to come. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Charlie Dune (wolf) & Annabelle Gray.

Charlie is a “lone wolf” CIA field agent who recently found out that the wolf in “lone wolf” is all too accurate. Charlie never new his father and his mother believes he is dead — a way to protect her from the danger associated with his profession — so his half wolf status wasn’t known until an alpha wolf commanded him to shift. Instead of staying with the pack and learning about his new furry side, Charlie continues to fight things out on his own.

Charlie’s only enduring connection is with his CIA handler, Annabelle. Annabelle is in trouble and Charlie comes, no questions asked. The attraction between them is electric and sex in the wake of a high adrenaline situation is all too appealing. But Charlie must do his best to not only protect Annabelle from the bad guys, but also from his wolf.

Charlie was previously featured in Alpha's War.

Bad Boy Alphas, Book 8. A mission gone sideways, a monster is born...can Charlie and Annabelle find the answers in time?

Agent Charlie Dune's seen it all, done it all...or at least he thought he had. But since the mission in Honduras, does he know anything? He's no longer human! How did this happen? What is he? Is there a cure? His mind whirls with questions. The one thing he's sure of? The monster inside is growing stronger. But his handler, Agent Annabel Gray, has even bigger problems. And Charlie owes her. When Annabel asks for his help, he can't say no. Only...just what is Annabel involved in? And how the hell does Charlie begin to explain anything? What happened to him, who he is, the overwhelming chemistry between them, the danger? He has no answers! As Annabel gets dragged deeper and deeper into something she never knew existed, it's not just her job on the line. It's her very life. Who would have dreamed that part of that threat could come from Charlie? It's a literal race against the clock to find the answers and protect Annabel from what Charlie knows could be her ultimate destruction. But neither Charlie nor Annabel knows the truth. Nor could either ever have imagined what comes next. Can Charlie save her? Will Annabel have to destroy the man she loves to save herself? Or...is there another way? As time runs out, only one thing is clear. The answers are there. Do they have the time to find them?

When Charlie Dune first appears on the scene, he's an alpha male through and through, so very sure of himself, believing he has all the answers. I didn't just dislike him. I despised him. But then his world slowly implodes. Things he's suspected become real. And his life is literally turned upside down. That's when I fell in love with him. He's a very flawed human become...exactly what? Annabel's amazing! The best keyboard jockey in the CIA, she's no field agent. And when her past collides with her present, her life is literally on the line. But none of this stops her. She's beautiful, brilliant, strong, and feisty, the yin to Charlie's yang. Renee Rose and Lee Savino couldn't have crafted two more perfect characters for this story. The action is nonstop, the thrills and chills never ending. Again, the cast of supporting characters is quirky, loveable, dangerous, and wonderful! They complete this entire series and make it over-the-top perfection. Old favorites return. Jared, Garrett, and Trey are royal PITAs, but they're also hilarious. Then there's Sarah and Grady, Agent Tentrite, Director Scape, and Senator Flack. And, OMG...Otis? Otis defies description! I adored him! Again, Ms. Rose and Ms. Savino have taken the reader on a breathtaking cross-country journey, from California to D.C. to Tucson and points in between. These two authors are at the top of their genre for a very good reason. Congratulations, Ms. Rose and Ms. Savino! I don't know how, but you've topped yourselves again! Five stars hardly seems sufficient for Alpha's Mission. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the authors. They work hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to a book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

I was happy to be back on common ground again and thinking about wolves. I didn’t know where they were going to go with Charlie but it makes sense his story would follow after the last one. He became a not so side character in Nash’s book and when I was first introduced to him, I wasn’t sure if he was going to be a good or bad guy. I had my doubts and uncertainties but they all disappeared after he makes a last appearance in Nash’s book and everything leading up to that. I had read ahead to see the reviews of this book and was relieved to find this one got lots of praise, 4 and 5 stars. After reading it, now I see why and am up there with those guys for the same rating. Most of the others had said it was like Bourne identity vibes, and I completely agree. Annabel and Charlie find out information they aren’t supposed to know about the government and CIA because it has to do with Annabel’s father. She wanted to know his story and what really went down in his last mission. She went snooping and fell into a rabbit hole of scenarios and wanted closure on her father and even understand him better. Surprise, the government gets wind of this and tries everything in their power to take her out and Charlie with her since he’s accompanying her. It’s just a high energy, combative story and you combine this with Charlie’s struggles in understanding his wolf and the urges and abilities he gets. The only things annoying me was his inability to ask for help, or admit he is out of control. When Garrett’s pack gets thrown in the mix, Charlie doesn’t want to ask them what’s going on with him and that was his biggest mistake. He was going through his two personalities, human and wolf without knowing what was driving him to be the way he was. What came from this was paranoia, fear and the idea that he could kill someone on accident. When you blend this with trying to help Annabel and focusing, you get a very irritated wolf who is sexually frustrated and driven by violence and survival. Overall, this had a great balance between mystery, the unknown and figuring out himself. I loved reading about Charlie’s journey, and in the way Annabel grounded him and offered comfort. In this specific story, you learn less about the heroine and more about the hero. Even with not a ton of things about Annabel it didn’t feel like information was lost. It was all about the present moment with background on Charlie because with him it was needed to understand. The next book seems more complicated and while I am not looking for something complex, I’m still excited because it will provide more story about this pack I’ve grown attached to.

Least favorite of the series for me so far. Guess I'm just not into the whole spy thing because I really didn't get into this story much. Even when there was a lot of action.

I really wish that I had known that Charlie was introduced in another series before I read this book. Maybe then I would have enjoyed it a little more if I had read that first and got to know him better. I grew frustrated with Charlie as the story moved on because he has absolutely no idea about the wolf side of him, and instead of actually asking those who could help him for information, he's gotta be all prideful male and go it alone. Even though the whole time he is scared out of his mind that he's going to kill a human.

As for Annabel, I didn't really care one way or another for her. I was glad that she knew she was no field agent for a reason and didn't try to go out on her own to get to the truth and take down the bad guys.

For the most part, what happens here seems completely unbelievable. But I'm no spy or super agent, so what do I know? Maybe this is a normal day in the life of those people. Basically Annabel learns that her father's death was a lie and there was a coverup. So she tries to hack into his file with no luck, and call some people that knew him with no luck. In fact, she is told to drop it and leave it be. So of course, she can't. And that's where agent Dune comes in. Calling in the favor he owes her for helping to save Nash's kid, she wants his help finding out what really happened to her father.

Naturally from there we get the car chases, shoot outs, attempted kidnapping, and unknown betrayer that should be expected with this scenario. Oh, and their overwhelming desire for one another. Honestly, it wasn't bad. But for some reason I still found myself kind of bored. Charlie was super impressive with pretty much everything he did and I really only had one question

Maybe because two of the key players in Data-X have been taken out, the story is winding down? Now to see how it all ends.

REMARKABLY relevant, yet amazingly sumptuous and paranormal. A SWOON-worthy, sensuous romance.
This summer is hot, but “ALPHA’S MISSION” is even HOTTER, in the best way possible! “ALPHA’S MISSION” will grab a reader’s attention from the very first. Bathing the reader with the intensity, suspense, and adventure which are typical of each of the books in Rose’s and Savino’s “Bad Boy Alphas” series. Rose and Savino continue to write complex and remarkably sensuous and compelling novels, perhaps saving some of the best stories for last! While “ALPHA’S MISSION” is part of a remarkable series by this amazing writing team, each of the novels is a stand-alone. One does not need to read the other books to fully understand the plot, although I will warn readers, that impulse will be strong because these “Bad Boy Alpha” books are that great! Nor does a reader need to consume (yes, that is the BEST word for it) each book in the order of publication to understand the depth of the relationships between the secondary characters and the main characters. All of the characters are so richly woven, so well-developed and realistic, it was easy for this reader/reviewer to imagine them walking right off the pages… “ALPHA’S MISSION” continues this classic series with the story of Charlie and Annabel as the primary focus, but as with all of the others in this series, they are assisted and loved by a brotherhood of amazing men and woman. I want to say more but this is a no-spoiler zone. So, I will leave with this; I was given an ARC of “ALPHA’S MISSION” to prepare this honest voluntary review. However, I will purchase a copy to support one of the best writing team in the genre of romance. I STRONGLY suggest you purchase your copy of “ALPHA’S MISSION” today, and then beat the summer’s heat by reading what is arguably the BEST “Alpha” novel of the year! Happy pages! 😉

“Raw & sizzling hot Bad Boy Alpha Tale”

I received an Advance Reader Copy for ALPHA’S MISSION: A Special Forces Shifter Romance (Bad Boy Alphas, Book #8) written by Renee Rose & Lee Savino and voluntarily reviewed this book. This book is CIA Agent Charlie Dune and Annabel Gray’s story. The aspect of Charlie newly discovering that he is a shifter, specifically a werewolf, puts everything he knows into a tailspin, making him question his past and future, but right now, he is a slave to all the cravings that turning into such a beast entails - including a beyond-professional lust for his handler, Annabel. A favor she once risked her career for was called in when Annabel suddenly found herself in hot government-secret water, merely by questioning her father’s career and demise. She calls the only person she can trust at the time to help her out of the quicksand, because now it went beyond just affecting her to include family members.

While Charlie struggles with the knowledge of what he is as well as fights his lusty thoughts for Annabel, he utilizes his skills and connections to keep her and her loved ones safe. The suspense of her situation together with the development of their relationship made for a well-written and engaging storyline. His feelings for Annabel were intense and panty-melting, perfectly in line with his still-new shifter characteristics - exactly the same qualities which make him want to draw back from Annabel for her own safety. But with a little help and guidance from people he realizes he can rely on, this loner operative will be able to move on to a life which can include Annabel as well as put their pasts to rest.

These two authors have outdone themselves in this story!
