My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, and no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I have bought this book because I loved it, and I own most of Zoe’s books!
The cover is intriguing and fiery.
This is the 3rd book in the Lost Dragons series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. While not required to read the series in order, I highly recommend reading them in order because it makes the world so much more, and you will understand references to previous events that occurred in those previous books.
I loved this story! It was a page-turner, and it was filled with intrigue because a dragon and a hunter being mates. As Alanna and Magnus unravel the lies and deception. I love Alanna’s mind as a figures things out, and it was awesome to watch her go after what she wants. There are some very awesome moments in this book, but I don’t want to give anything away. I will tell you that many of our friends were also included in this book like Isaak and Josie. As always Zoe Chant does a phenomenal job mixing action, intrigue, and romance into a fabulous book that I couldn’t put down. I was up until 2am the day I read this book.
I highly recommend to any shifter fans who love action and romance especially if you are already a Zoe Chant fan! I absolutely can’t wait to read more of Zoe’s work!

Magnus, a dragon shifter without a clan and without his hoard and not positive his name is Magnus. He had been a captive of a cruel, evil dragon hunter for years, forced to fight other dragons. He was rescued by the Novak Clan and eventually goes to work in the forest for Isaak and Josie Novak, even though he almost got Josie killed.
The Carlyle family’s dragon hunting tradition goes back even before St. George. Alanna Carlyle has trained all her life to be a dragon hunter and is about to go on her first assignment. She has a folder with information where to find the rouge dragon as well as a picture. Looking at the eyes she had a feeling that something was not right.
The Lord High Hunter was Alanna’s father and though there was no preferential treatment given to her the Hadley cousins and their friends were just plain mean and spiteful. It was a known fact the Carlyle and Hadley families were rivals.
Because the first time a hunter went on assignment they were paired with another hunter the Lord High Hunter had pared Alanna with Casper Hadley for her first assignment. Not a good pairing.
When Alanna and Casper were in the area where the rouge dragon was supposed to be Casper betrayed Alanna.
Magnus was out in the woods when he heard a voice. He took off towards the sound and what he found was a man stabbing a woman. Magnus grabbed the male’s wrist before he could strike again. Casper got loose and ran off expecting a dragon to kill Alanna.
Even though he thought her dangerous there was something about her. So Magnus took Alanna back to his cabin to help her. While trying to help Alanna she touched the skin on his arm and he had a brief memory; it was part of something that had been lost.
They will have to face and deal with treachery, lies and danger and to survive they will need to learn to trust each other. Can Alanna help Magnus regain his memory? Can a dragon hunter and a dragon dare to trust the passion they feel?

Magnus was a dragon shifter who was in captivity in the hands of an evil dragon hunter for years . Until he was set free thanks to Isaak and Josie ( FATED FOR THE DRAGON ). He still had no memory of his family or his clan, he didn't know how long he would be able to keep his Dragon.
He was cut off from his treasure and he was getting weaker every time he shifted. If he didn't find his treasure or a mate soon he was afraid of the alternative for both him and his inner beast.
Alanna found herself fighting for her life when she was betrayed by someone the Lord High Hunter trusted. Luckily she was saved by a stranger, who turned out to be the one she was hunting.
One touch from a beautiful and dangerous woman revived memories within Magnus. She stirs things in him he'd thought he'd lost long ago. When Alanna found out about her being, she was shocked but she couldn't deny what she'd felt the first time she saw his picture.
The treaty between the Novak Caln and the Loric Coven was being threatened by rebellious dragon hunters. Together Magnus and Alanna took care of the traitors also the leader of the Novak Clan didn't spare the evildoers.
It was a treat to catch up with the Novak Clan, Isaak/Josie, Stefan/Holly ( A MATE FOR THE DRAGON ) and Darklis.
Magnus finally found his way home thanks to his mating bond with Alanna. Being back with his clan was what he and his dragon needed as well and being with their mate.
DESTINED FOR THE DRAGON is the third standalone paranormal novel in Zoe Chant's LOST DRAGONS series. It was quick, filled with betrayal, an emotional and marvelous ride. Another fun read by Zoe Chant! 5++++

We met Magnus in book 3 when he was collared and made to attack Isaak in book 2. Now with his memory and past a mystery, he is looking for the answer of who he is before he loses his ability to change into his dragon.
Alanna is a dragon hunter it's her, well their job, to hunt down rogue dragons that are a danger to humans. Sent on her first mission she is given the opportunity to prove she isn't just her dad's daughter.
I enjoyed this book. It makes you question what people are, how everyone (not just ogres, lol) are unions and have layers. How a character in one book can be the villain then the next can be the hero. against his control but you get the idea.
Do you know how some books are like written from cookie cutter plots? Well, not this series ever book has a fresh plot and great character building. Book 4 is spreading in my library so book 4 here I come!

Super exciting next book in the Lost Dragons series
This story is action packed from start to finish. Alanna is assigned her first target as a dragon hunter. Magnus is still dealing with the aftereffects of his time imprisoned by dragon hunters. How can they possibly be mates?
The story has a breakneck pace, an intense tone, an action and character oriented storyline, vivid characters who make you cheer for them and some steamy scenes. If you like you shifter romances with all this, as well as some laughs, tears and gasps of concern, then this story is for you! It can stand alone, but read books 1 and 2 before this. The story details will make more sense. Enjoy!

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review.
I like this one the best so far in this series. I felt there was really good world and character building for such a short story.
I liked Alanna a lot, she was a really strong character who embraced change and was courageous when she needed to be, she fought for what she believed was right.
I liked Magnus from the previous book when we originally met him and I was glad to see him discover his mate and then find his way home again.
Great to see previously mentioned characters and we briefly meet some more new ones in Magnus's family members.
Overall a great addition to the series which I enjoyed.

Magnus doesn't remember who he is or where he came from. Alanna always believed that what her coven was doing was right. Someone is out to start a war, but can love stop it? Will Magnus ever regain his memories? Will Alanna be able to find the truth before it is to late?
Loved seeing Magnus find love. Loved seeing Magnus come into this own and when he really could have held everything against her coven, he didn't. Loved how Alanna wasn't snowed by what she was taught and was able to see all sides. Great read!

Dragon hunters are just evil, indiscriminately destroying dragons, but some are working on changing that...unfortunately, not everyone agrees! Read on to find what has happened to Magnus since the collar was removed. (Definitely better to start with the first book for the background info!)
This story has elements of deception, deceit, danger, and daring just waiting for you (of course there is some spicy romance too...lol)!

Magnus finds his mate and himself
This story felt different than other stories by Zoe. I loved it. There was a lot of mystery and intrigue in this story. I do not like the collars for the dragons at all and I so want to put them on the people who use them as punishment. Best scene when the father hugs his daughter for the first time since she was 5. I really enjoyed this story and all the different parts that came with it.

So heartbreaking!!!
I love this series and after being introduced to Magnus in previous books, I couldn't wait to read his full story. There is so much sadness in him and I was so happy to read his HEA. This is one of those books that will stay with me for a long time and definitely recommend that you read any and all books from Zoe Chant. Mature eyes only due to hot 🔥 Dragon loving!!!

Good Read
I have enjoyed this very involved but excellent storyline. I further enjoyed this book because of all the history involving the relationship or lack of relationship between dragons and dragon hunters. It never quite amazes me how misunderstanding can produce such hate and ultimate betrayals.
I love dragon storylines, please return soon to the List Dragons storyline. I just cannot wait to delve more into these families.I

This is book three of the series, and we find that the main couple have met but under stressful circumstances. Magnus doesn’t recognize. He feels first with his dragon, who is rushing him towards a human female. Magnus suddenly takes off to the forest where this altercation is happening. Alanna has been hurt. Will these two be able to trust each other and build a relationship? Read On to discover!

Loved it!!!
Awe!! love a happy ending. Magnus found his mate and finally found his family and slowly regaining his memories, for a minute there I thought his big brother was going to start a fight. But everyting worked out and all is well..so what next will there be a story for Stefan sister Darklis..can't wait to see..big fan Winzie19.

I hope the author continues this series!
I am so glad that the author chose to write Magnus’ story! I felt so bad for him and all he went through, and initially couldn’t figure out how this matchup could end well. The story itself was filled with so many obstacles, but of course the couple was able to work it out to get the future they deserved.

I'm glad Alanna didn't fight Magnus on being his mate, even though she was a Dragon Hunter and he a dragon. I suspected Benedict was dirty when she went to meet him and her instinct started going haywire. I'm glad she could mindspeak with her mate or she would have perished.

Thoroughly enjoyable addition to the Lost Dragon’s world, Book 3 pairs Dragon Hunter Alanna with lost dragon Magnus. Together they uncover a nefarious plot of treachery and rebellion and find true love and the rightful place for this noble, lost dragon. The right blend of steam, action and adventure, readers are sure to enjoy this next installment.

I have been on a shifter binge and that is where I found Zoe. I have enjoyed many of her books since then and am working my way through them. There are some minor editing issues in her early books but not enough to give up reading them.

This was an exciting read. I didn’t want to put the kindle down at all. The love scenes were well written I almost needed a cigarette afterwards and I don’t smoke. Great job!

This is a fun series
Sometimes I just want an uncomplicated easy fast read. These books are just that, a good story with not a lot of hard to grasp story lines. Fast, fun, easy reads.
Sometimes I just want an uncomplicated easy fast read. These books are just that, a good story with not a lot of hard to grasp story lines. Fast, fun, easy reads.

A prince hidden
I really enjoyed this 3rd book in the series.
Very nice storyline, with good strong characters. Follow along as these two get the HEA they deserve.

Good read
I enjoyed the storyline and the characters were very likeable. There were a few editing issues that kept me somewhat distracted. But otherwise a good read.

Fabulous
A wonderful conclusion to the on going underling story told in the first two books. While it would be great by itself, it is fabulous as a series book.
