I’m the head of the Masciantonio family. I’m a dangerous, ruthless, unforgiving man, and I know how to fight dirty.

Fate put Emilia Trassato in my path. I saw a future with her—I saw hope. But she didn’t agree, and I let her walk away.

Now she’s back, but I’m no longer free to claim her. However, the minute our eyes meet, I know there’s nothing in this entire goddamn world strong enough to keep me from her.

She’s the only woman I’ve ever wanted, and I don’t care how many promises I have to break, or how many lives I have to destroy…I’m not letting her go. Not again.

Because this time…she’s mine.

It's been over a year since I was on a rampage about Emilia: Part 1, and yes, you HAVE TO READ IT FIRST, so by the time Part 2 came out, I had cooled down considerably, which was probably a good idea since Lisa Cardiff took this conclusion in a different direction that I expected. And again, since it took a while for it to come out, I was definitely more amenable to the point of loving it completely. This, of course, means that I really can't go into the plot too much because of the chance of spoiler douchery appearing by accident, so per usual, I'll just state my crazy feelings. Emilia is definitely mad about her life right now, and she feels like she has no one in her corner. It doesn't help that her family is there immediately, so every way she turns, she wants to junk punch men, as all she sees is betrayal at every turn. Yeah, Emilia had a lot to be pissed off about, and no one was immune to her wrath, which made her completely fantastic! I still say that she need an army of women to have her back when the testosterone gets to be too much. There's definitely bigger drama, more suspense with f-bomb worthy twists, sexy times to set the sheets on fire, and of course, the finale of epic proportions. Lisa Cardiff is brilliantly addictive, and this is a series that I'll never get enough of, but of course I say that about all her books, but I freakin' LOVE me some Emilia & the Trassato Crime Family! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This one takes place about 5 years after Emilia 1 and the lead female character has achieved her ambition of running away from her father and family. Leaving her fiancé Marcello, her mob boss father and Sal her escape buddy a little pissed off.

Emilia discovers that her escape only complicated her life which was planned before her birth and things come back to haunt her.
The only person I felt that genuinely cared for Emilia apart from her cousins Gian and Carmela was Marcello.

I felt that at times there was a bit of over padding in this story and this and book 1 may have been better as 1 longer story and I have waited a couple of days to mull that over.
Emilia was very naïve in both books and it took her a while to work out how her world worked and who to trust. Of course it didn't help that she constantly trusted the wrong people instead of thinking about their motives. It didn't help of course that she had been used as a pawn her whole life and very few people around her were genuine and caring. Even after she escaped, which she realised was a mistake.

I found the outcome most satisfactory but did wonder why her father and Marcello hadn't found her during her disappearance, though I think Marcello knew where she was.

A great series all round.

Firstly you must read Emilia: Part 1 which was released in May 2017, this will set up the love triangle and where Emilia finds herself at the start of this book. As it had been a year I re-read book 1 and still loved the drama and suspense around this mafia family.

Salvatore and Marcello provide again great tension, however, I was happy this was not dragged on. The choice by Emilia is made swiftly in the beginning and I was very satisfied, she chose the right man for her. Their passion was perfect and I loved how we learned so much more about Emilia’s family history. Her father finally stood up for her. That was a favourite turn of events in this story for me, to learn more about her mother.

The mystery and suspense were tied up really well by the author, it was worth the wait and I did not pick the dangerous connections. My only complaint was Part 2 does not have all the angst and drama that Part 1 had and it would have been great to have this whole story in one book to keep the momentum.

You have to read part 1 to continue to this book, so if you haven’t read the first part do so now! Lisa Cardiff has created an amazing world with such intricate characters and how they mesh together, that it’s so enticing! I’m hooked to her mafia stories, and Emilia part 2 was no different in the amount of suspense, thrill, and steam for the characters in this story.
Both Salvatore and Marcelo are back in this book, and I’m so happy that the triangle was resolved in the beginning part of the book. It left so much more of an opportunity for more action to happen-and I was hooked!
I’ve loved Emilia from the very first time she was introduced. She’s an independent character that wants to break free from her family. I’m happy her father was involved in a positive way in this book.
Definitely start with the first book in this series because they’re all equally amazing. This author has a way with writing such a passionate gut wrenching story-and I’m so hoping we get more soon!

If you havent read  Emilia part 1 do not attempt to read part 2. It can not be read as a standalone and you will feel lost  confused and you'll just want to give up on the whole book.  Emilia was promised to Marcello since birth, she met him by complete accident when she was thirteen and when she asked him who is was he told her " your future" I don't want to give too much of the book away or ruin it for anyone.  I will say this if you liked the first part you will love this one. It was a great story.

This is the second part of this addictive series, and the first book need to be read first otherwise the reader will be totally lost. This story continues with the love triangle, and Emilia finally making her choice. No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed! This story is filled with suspense, mystery, and passion, and the only downside, and this is just my opinion; is that the drama and angst had been toned down from the 1st part. I look forward to reading more from this talented author, and recommend her work for all lovers of a dark storyline.

REVIEWER: LINDSEY

RATING: 4. 5 STARS

I can say is was not disappointed in part 2. This was such a great addition to the serious. There was growth in the characters and the writing. The author really pulled this story together and I’m so glad I got to read it . I did go back and read book one to refresh and I’m glad I did . I got to enjoy this story fully . The writing was great , the characters awesome, and the plot great. I enjoyed everything about this book and can’t wait to see what’s next. Just saying this roller-coaster ride of emotions will make you want more.

HEA all around

So glad for the way this book turned out. Emilia got what she wanted and everything is peachy.
This book was very addicting. You definitely had to read part one because it picks up right where that left off. This one has as many twists and the ever hating love triangle. Not to spoil anything but I do hope for a book from a certain character. They deserve it.

Great story

At first I was skeptical that this girl was so flighty at how this could be a good story, but as the story progresses she finally starts making decisions and wanting answers. I was secretly rooting for Marcello the whole time. Good story and will read others by this author.

Although part 1 was very promising, I lost the connection between characters in part 2. They seemed like totaly different kind of people. However, I liked the love story.

This duet within the series is terrific. We learned some of Emilia's story in "Kon" and this finale answers the questions of who? and what happened next? for all the characters.
