Kate:
I've never needed a hero, until I do.
I've never been the girl to fall for the big alpha male, until I am.
Reece bursts into my world and changes it in an instant.
Dare I follow my heart?
Reece:
I'm a warrior, protecting people is what I do.
When I meet Kate, her beauty, spirit, and good heart make it personal.
Someone is out to hurt her.
I won't let them.
Even if it costs me everything.

Deep is a deliciously twisted, dark romantic suspense. Can be read as a standalone.

Wow, this was intense. This is the first book I have read in this series and I was not lost reading it and so deem it a standalone. Reece is a warrior, a former Marine (though there is no such thing as former Marine) and his job now is to protect Kate who has a stalker. This stalker has been stalking her for quite a while but now is upping the game and becoming more dangerous. Add in their chemistry and the fact they cannot deny it, will they survive the stalker and come out victorious at the end? Definitely a great read and a page turner. Make sure you have plenty of time to finish because once you start you will not want to put this one down!

I had a hard time getting into this book. I can't pinpoint what exactly why that was. Nonetheless, I kept on reading.

I have mixed feelings about Reece. He's described as being a man-whore, even by his best friends, yet he keeps stating he wants to be in committed relationship. Then when he finally has a chance to be in one, he balks at the idea. I understand part of his hesitation was due to what happened when he and Liam had been prisoners during their time in the service, however, if it was something he truly wanted, he should have put more of an effort into having it, instead of treating his time with Kate as something to pass the time.

I liked Kate. Despite her stalker situation, she kept her head up and was determined to continue on with her novel writing. She has a bit of writer's block, but Reece is able to help her break through that. Even though I have mixed feelings about Reece, I thought he and Kate made a good couple.

I was a little disappointed in Reece's friends. It was clear that Liam knew Reece was still suffering from the after-affects of their time in captivity, but his other friends were oblivious. One would think Liam would have tried to help Reece deal with his issues, and that his other friends would have been more in tune that something was going on with him.

I liked how the chapters alternated between the points of view of Reece and Kate. It enables to readers to have an understanding of what both characters are thinking and feeling as the story progresses.

This was the first book I read in the series. While it can be read as a standalone, I think it might be helpful to have read the other books in the series just to have a deeper understanding of the friendships between the men.

Wow!! Another Gritty story in this Remarkable Series!!

As the only “unattached” member of the security team, Reece is assigned to protect author Kate. Kate writes under a male pen name, but her true identity was exposed by a fan. A stalker has been sending very graphic and very threatening messages. This stalker is not to be taken lightly as he has attacked and in some cases killed other victims.

Reece has issues from some of his prior missions, including avoidance of getting into a serious relationship – being “trapped”. When Kate, who is not his “type”, turns out to have similar interests, is smart and ironically reading the same book he is; he realizes he has been dating the wrong type and needs to look deeper at those around him.

Kate has had problem finishing her stories. Her publisher is pushing for her lead to have a romance, but her stalker has turned a switch making that impossible. Reece is not the stereotype she expected.. “…He looks….like the Hulk grew out his hair, stopped being green and got all..hot”. My face heats, but I push on. “Have you seen him, Gina? He’s …hot. I can’t be guarded day and night by him.”

No spoilers here – but be assured, the stalker does not give up and intrudes in a quite unexpected manner.
Gripping and raw, with powerful emotions; an incredible read!!

This was my first time reading this author and I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Reece was a gorgeous hunk of a body guard assigned to protect a murder mystery writer, Kate, who was being stalked by a crazy rapist/murder. He had been stalking her for years and she has gone completely underground and basically had no quality of life anymore. There is a tangible connection between them from the beginning and as they begin to know each other, it grows stronger and stronger. Both parties have scars to overcome and together they help each other heal. There is a lot of action in the book which keep you in suspense and the sex is hot between these two! I loved hearing about the friends in their agency who all have their own books and will make you want to read their stories, too. This is a standalone with a HEA, but the ending leaves you ready to dive into the next book! I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

"Two messed up people who together make a flawed whole"- I love this line. It describes Reece and Kate perfectly. An incident in Reece's past has left him with the need to be "free"- to be able to go as he pleases. This need makes it hard for him to have what he truly wants- a family. Due to a stalker, Kate spends her life hiding. When fate throws them together, they find they have a lot in common and plenty of sexual tension. When Kate's stalker comes calling, will Reece be able to save them? This is the first book in this series I have read but I definitely plan on going back and reading Ethan, Liam and Luka's stories as well as looking forward to reading Andrius' story.

Reece as the only avaliable member of the security team is sent on to Scotland to protect Katie an author who despitebus9bg a male pen name gets doxed and finds herself with a stalker, one she had before only this time hes more dangerous than ever! Since being back from active duty Reece hasn't settled with just one woman, and he doesnt see himself ever doing so until Katie lights a fire within him. She makes him see what he's he's missing in life, without even realising it's her he really needs. But with her stalker still making waves he will do anything to keep her safe. Book 4 in the series, we'll written with an engaging story line and well developed characters that bring the story to life with emotion, laughter, desires and more!

Dark romance

This is a dark mafia romance with amazing characters, incredible story line and a hopeful happy ending. I love the relatable insecurities of the female characters and the hardships both main characters have to overcome are very well detailed, explained and real unfortunately for some people, therefore the story is amazing. I really really really loved and appreciated al the raw heroes books but out of the four, this one is definitely my favourite. The way the author explains through the characters tenderness, friendship, love, desire but also very realistic, disturbing and degrading acts it's honestly so vivid and easy to imagine. I genuinely love this author and all of her work.

Deep: Raw Hero by Skye Jones
Reece was in the marines, a playboy who never dates seriously and now he and his three friends are in security and have been hired to take over Gina’s job. Gina was protecting Kate because a crazy stalker was after her. She writes for a living and someone found out who and where she lived. She wrote under a male name, David Tyler because she wrote in the crime field and thought she would be safer. I found this story to be fast past and very interesting. I liked the understory of Kate and Reece and how they were feeling about each other. I would recommend this story highly. I enjoyed it very much. I received an ARC and have voluntarily left a review.

Reece assigned to protect author Kate from a dangerous stalker. Having been traced to a cottage in Scotland. Reece with the help of his other ex military PI colleagues relocates them to a village in Wales. While there they cross a line and become close trying to overcome demons in both of their pasts. Eventually the stalker tracks them down in Wales too and they both suffer a terrifying ordeal. Finally they overcome their trauma. Not my usual genre as I am not keen on violence. Bit there was not much of that and there were some good hot and steamy scenes to recommend this book. Also very refreshing to read a book set in the UK for a change. Read an ARC for an honest review.

The hero is intense, with deep-seated issues, and the heroine is strong but struggling to regain herself after years of dealing with an insane stalker. This is an intense romance with an element of suspense and a bit of a twist. The narrative is fast-paced and engaging, and the passion is HOT. The characters are interesting, and, although this works as a standalone, they’re integrated into the whole series. You may find it more enjoyable to read the stories in succession. Once you start you will find it hard to put down.

I loved this story. It has such a strong sense of one’s ability to survive, what life or in this case a rapist stalker throws at you. When Reese is assigned to protect Kate, he has no idea how much she’s going to come to mean to him. Kate has been on the run from her stalker for years now but she has almost given up hope that he’ll be caught. Can Reese keep her safe when Stalker boy finally makes his move..
this story keeps you so captivated that you can’t put it down and you never want it to end.. it is a great book and a must read..

Are you serious?

I truly mean that question. Are you serious? What on earth is this? Is this supposed to be a romance? Are we supposed to like a character who is extremely slutty, whom we read being slutty in the previous books, and whom describes in detail sexual acts he's had with past partners? Reece is positively disgusting. Every book in this series has had a manwhore character. Each book in this series has been a disappointment. I should have stopped with the first book. This book, this series, and quite probably this author, are not at all worth reading.

Awesome love story of 2 people that have been traumatized by events in their lives. Reece is so much different than Kate thought he would be once they learned about each other. Kate is totally different than Reece thought she would be. Working together to find the deranged stalker should be easy for them...but he/she always seems to find ways to terrorize Kate without getting caught. Throw in falling in love and it's a wonderful whodunit.

I must say this was the most mind blowing story I have read to date. It was raw, visceral and connecting with the characters was unbelievable. This story had heart beyond anything I have seen in this type of novel. You have two wounded souls looking for that shared light and fighting to hold tight to it. They have adventures and share deep moments and let's not forget the HEAT....OMG!!! H-O-T!!! A great read and I recommend it highly

Another addition to the series

I have enjoyed this series. I’ve come to know and love each couple. I looked forward to Reece and it was compelling. Each book is so different and unexpected but complicated. I look very forward to the next book. My only suggestion is more proofing. I realize that some of the edits are word choices that fit an English writer but there are also some Wrong word and spelling edits. If not for that I would have given 5 stars

Great story

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. The author has of course reinvigorated a couple of enjoyable tropes but I for one have no problem with a manwhore who changes when he finds the right woman! The woman have been an interesting mix with Kate,in this story, a slightly older woman who is an extremely successful novelist pursued by a stalker. Loved it. So sad I've read all her books now.

I really enjoyed this book! The characters click, their story pulled me in, there is the suspense that filters through and I couldn't get enough. I admire Kate's strength, Reece is protective while being a bit fun and a bit intense. I need to read about the other guys from this series!

Reese and Kate

Older woman and younger man (but not by much). Kate is a famous writer being stalked by a possible serial killer and Reese is her hired close protection. They learn they have lots in common as they try to escape the stalker. They begin to appreciate have strong feelings for each other. This is book 4 in the series and just as good as the first three.

I really loved this story. The two characters are both flawed in their own way but the chemistry between them is hot! The book is fast paced with some suspense. You don’t need to read the previous books but recommend you do as they are all equally as good. I received an ARC for an honest review.

This was not the first book in a series but saying that I didn’t feel like I was missing something important. Kate is being terrorized by a psychopath. Reese is part of the security team. This book is well worth the time to read.

Worth reading

Really enjoyed this book. Kate and Reece were interesting to read about and I really liked that she was older. I’ve read all the books in this series and they’ve all been and this one didn’t disappoint. Looking forward to the next one.

Another great story

I love this series. It takes raw alpha males and doesn’t turn them into saps just because they fall hard. The women are strong but aren’t out to change the guys. They all work as a team regardless of gender and it so works. I absolutely love that!!!

I have now read everyone of these books in this series. Loved each of the characters. They are the kind you think of as friends and enjoy keeping up with. Which means I have found a new author who's work I will continue to follow.
