It's Live!

Perfect little lunch break read!

This was a really cute, short and sweet story. Instalove, which I love. Older man/younger woman, cowboys and boss/employee all included which made me very happy!

-no cheating
-no om drama
-ow drama - a woman wanted him and he shut her down. He had never been with her in any way.
-no pushing away
-no violence of a sexual nature
-safe- neither with others after meeting
-no epilogue which bummed me out.

What a deliciously sweet and HOT cowboy Romance! 

Rochelle Paige, writing as Gigi Thorne really gave us the insta cowboy smuttiness perfect for a quick 'before bedtime' read. 

Alexandra landed in Colton's doorstep, after running from her oppressive household, and Colton Booth - smoking hot cowboy, through and through, was shocked beyond words when the young cook he hired turned out to be the gorgeous, sweet and innocent little woman in front of him. Clever man that he was, and knowing Fate when it landed in his lap, lol, Colton just needed to slowly and surely - he's an Alpha after all - wrangle Alex in. ;)

I’d had my fair share of good luck over the years, but none of it compared to how fortunate I was to have had Alexandra land on my doorstep the way she had.

Wrangle Me was such an incredibly sweet, insta-love - though Colton conquers her slowly and patiently - little read. No angst, scorching HOT, and endearingly sweet love story that will leave you all warm - for more reasons than one, lol -  and fuzzy, and craving even more Cowboy romance, that Gigi Thorne's next author will surely deliver with this month's theme.  <3 <3 <3 <3

This was a sweet and sexy hot cowboy romance between Colton, a hot 100% cowboy and Alexandra, a sweet, beautiful and innocent young woman who's run away from her oppressive and stifling family and how these two just clicked, like fate had its hands in the pot ;) and brought these two soul-mates together was great <3

I loved that it was about a determined man, Colton, willing to win ALexandra's heart, slowly but surely and when he did, boy, was it both beautiful and hot as hell ;)

Wrangle Me, which is written by one of my favorite authors', Rochelle Paige as Gigi Thorne, was absolutely amazing, sweet love story, also a completely safe read, with amazing main characters, sexy, heartwarming scenes and an instant connection between the alpha cowboy, Colton and sweet, genuine Alexandra, that turns into a beautiful forever for them, plus toss in a sweet and heartwarming epilogue with their happy ending, well, this story was wonderful in every way possible for me <3 :)

What he wasn’t expecting was beautiful Alex. What he also wasn’t expecting was her to be everything that he’s been looking for. Now to convince her that not all bossy men are bad.

I always like sweet, feel good reads and this was one for me. Alexandra aka Alex aka sweet girl and Colton were just that, sweet. She is 18 and trying to escape her dad and brothers, she applies for and gets a job at a ranch as their cook, which happens to be Colton’s ranch. He is extremely surprised when Alex is a woman, but some homemade cookies win him over. He is immediately taken with her and she with him. She cooks for the ranch hands for awhile, before Colton wants her to cook only for him, so that their ex cook (now widowed) can get his job back. Her dad does come for her, but Colton shuts him down. Colton actually shuts down a couple of scenarios, which I for one appreciated.

This was a sweet, safe read. With an older man that goes after what he wants and younger virgin woman. No om drama, some ow drama, but she and Colton shut that down and he will no longer do business with her. Baby batter, an epilogue, but only one month out and an hea.

First of all, I love the concept of this pen name for a group of authors submitting themed books every month. Such a neat idea!

Now, on to the story, which is a quick, sweet bite of cowboy & cook. Appropriate, since Colton has such a sweet tooth & Alexandra makes delicious desserts! ; ) Thumbs up for this quick, steamy bite!! This one's written by Rochelle Paige, who is (or should be) famous for her ability to create a complete story featuring LOTS of steam while making a believable love connection in a short amount of pages. HERO - Colton Booth. Owner of the Circle B Ranch. Light brown hair, dark brown eyes. Thinks the “Alex” that he hired is a man.

HEROINE - Alexandra “Alex” Cooper. Recent high school graduate. New cook for the Circle B Ranch. Long, curly blonde hair and blue eyes. Definitely NOT a man.

OVERALL THOUGHTS - Loved it! Fast, entertaining, sweet, great characters...there’s not much to complain about. I felt her family drama was wrapped up a little too easily for as larger than life as she made them sound, but maybe that was the point. Fears are always more overwhelming while you’re living them, right? To Colton, her father was merely an inconvenient fly to swat away! LOL I guess I just figured there’d be some kind of show down involving both the father AND the brothers.

Our main characters were so good for each other. Colton was the perfect amount of growly and possessive when it came to her, and Alexandra felt so safe and happy around him.

SAFETY

Age: Alexandra - 18; Colton - not mentioned. I would have liked to know his age since Alexandra pointed out, “he’d never acted like our age difference was important to him.” I wonder how big the difference was?

Virgin/Celibate/Manwhore: Alexandra - virgin; Colton - celibate at least a year

Condoms: None with Alexandra. He’d always used them in the past.

Heat Level: Hot - 3/5

Push and Pull: None

OW/OM drama: Slight OW drama in the form of a horse trainer for a client of Colton’s. She flirts with Colton and Alexandra sees. Both of them shut her down real quick, though! Men also show an interest in Alexandra, but Colton’s always there to get growly and possessive.

Sex scene with OW/OM: None

Abuse: None

Possible Pet Peeves/Triggers: Death of a parent (off page). There’s also the tiniest mention in passing that Alexandra’s father would hit her mother (off page).

HEA/HFN: Married with a baby on the way. It’s only about a month in the future, though, and I was curious to see if they actually did settle for the two children or if Alexandra would grow out of her fear of being outnumbered and go for the five kids Colton wanted originally. Alas, it’s not for us to know!

The truly Great thing about a Gigi Thorne book, you're never sure which author's going to be writing the tale your reading until you One-Click... Sooo many great storytellers!! I'm gladly recommending this book based upon its own merits. I enjoyed this book as this short story is on par, & I'll look forward to more opportunities to read Gigi's work in the future. Score another one for the authors of Gigi Thorne! This time around it's Rochelle Paige writing, and she delivers the perfect cowboy love novella.

Alexandra is a sweet 18-year old young woman living in a household full of bossy, chauvinistic brothers and a dad who all take advantage of her. They've been making her do all the cooking and the cleaning since her mom passed away three years ago, and they never appreciate all Alexandra does for them. She's determined to escape once she graduates, so that end, she applies for a chef job on a ranch in Texas, as far from Iowa as she can find. When she's hired on the spot, no meeting necessary, she knows it's the escape she needs.

Imagine Colton's surprise when the "Alex" he hired without a meeting is a gorgeous, sweet looking 18-year-old woman. He can't possibly have such a sweet thing working on his ranch full of men, can he? But, the sweet treats (not a euphemism) she's brought to help convince him to keep her, do the trick, and right away Colton welcomes her to the ranch family. Only, instead of having her bunk with his men, he keeps her at the main house (his house), so he can make sure the men aren't mistreating her. Uh huh, that's why he keeps her there...

As Alexandra spends her days at the ranch, cooking and baking for the men, she and Colton fall in love. But Colton takes his time with her and woos her. No OTT, caveman tactics for this cowboy! He's understanding and supportive of her ideas and her culinary passion, and he though he's bossy, he's never overbearing. It's why she blossoms under his care and falls in love with her hot, sweet, older cowboy.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading this book about Colton and Alexandra. Alexandra is trying to get away from her father and her brother's now that she has graduated high school she needs to sit on her own so she's gets a job as a cook at a ranch in Texas. That means she has to leave Iowa to head there all on her own without her family knowing. After her mom died her dad and brothers treated her like a slave. Colton is a Rancher who runs the Circle B Ranch and his hired Alex to be the new Cook for his Ranch hands. So imagine his surprise when Alexandra shows up on his front porch first day of work. There's an instant chemistry between the two of them that's undeniable but both fight because boss employee relations. She's the first female he's ever hired so he has her stay in the big house instead of the hands house.. She does a great job in the kitchen the guys really enjoy having her around. All them and their Adventure as they learn how to work together their feelings about more and her past comes to haunt her. Definitely recommend reading the story.

Alexandria Cooper wanted to get away from her controlling father and older brothers so once she graduated she took the money her mother had help her save and disappeared. She traveled by bus all the way to the Circle B Ranch in Texas. Colton was expecting a man to be arriving to be the cook for his ranch and was stunned when he saw Alexandria. After eating some cookies she baked he gave her a chance and she showed that she could cook even better then he had hoped. Colton started feeling possessive of Alexandria wanting to be her everything so when the chance came to have a former male cook back he took it and offered her a different job. Alexandria started cooking meals for her and Colton never imagining that he would ever want her. Not long after she started cooking just for him they got closer and just as it seemed nothing could tarnish what they were starting Alexandria's father shows up. Will Colton keep her safe from her Father?


This is an amazing story once I started I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Colton and Alexandria just about melted my kindle from the heat. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any of my book friends.

Alexandra graduates and boards a bus to Texas to a job as ranch cook where she meets owner Colton and his taste for the sweet.
When Alexandra was fifteen her mother died and she was left looking after her father and brothers while still attending school. None of them turned up for her graduation and she had her escape planned. She had got a four month job as a ranch cook doing what she did at home but at least she would be paid for it. So she took a bus and at the change over point she altered her appearance hoping that it would make it harder to follow her trail. She had also left a meal warming in the oven so her family would not miss her tonight. When she get to the motel she planned on staying in for the night the owner was surprised when told where she would be working and suggested she bake some cookies to take with her. Colton Booth was used to making decisions and employing someone as young as Alex Cooper was a risk but is shocked when a petite young woman turns up but is surprised by his own reaction to her. A cowboy romance to relax and enjoy.

This was such a fun and instant love type story that was great fun to read and very HOT. Alexandra, aka Alex, has needed to get away from her family so she applies and gets the job of cook at a ranch for four months during the summer holidays. Her new boss, Colton, expected a man named Alex and not the most beautiful young woman that he'd ever seen in his life. But he knows one thing - he's not going to let her go as she is now officially HIS! She just doesn't know it yet. The men on the ranch respect and like Colton so they will try and wind him up a little about him and Alex but they know not to go too far. Colton certainly gets more than he bargained for when he opened the door to her - an exceptional cook for one thing but he wants all of her just for himself. Will she agree to his terms? Another passionate read from the writers known as Gigi Thorne - in this case written by Rochelle Paige. Well written and fast paced that you will probably read it in one go like I did.
