I am really enjoying this series as it has a great cast of characters and the fact that the MC primary focus is freeing people in need,The cult that they are fighting against are mighty powerful but, so is this MC and their goal is to Free as many women and children from sexual slavery.

This story is of a serious matter and is graphic violent so reader beware....

I have to say that this was Free's story and I am going to be honest and say I was not liking his a** throughout half the story as we had a love hate relationship going on with him.I am glad he redeemed himself later on as I loved him in the other stories.

Favorite character is definitely Whitley as she was such a sweetheart. After everything she endured and after Free setting her free she set to the task to becoming herself once again.

Whitley was a survivor and given time she was learning she had a voice and opinions and Free was learning that she was a doormat know more...LOL

Free is making me mad as he is acting like a Cult member and that's not cool in my book.Free's conduct more than once left me wanting to kick his butt more than once but, I soon realized he was acting out of fear and guilt and all those jumbled up emotions he was carrying around and he was taking them out on Whitley instead of dealing with them head on.I loved that Whitley was patient with him and let him work things through at his own pace. What pissed me off as he should have realized she had her own issues to come to terms with too.She surprised me most of all as she carried the weight for both of them.

I loved being on Whitley's journey of finding herself again and how while healing she brought Free on is own journey as well .Free was finally living and being happy and able to finally lay the guilt he carried from his past once and for all.Whitley was Free's match hands down! The couple just clicked! The chemistry between them were super hot and their sexual interaction even hotter. Most of all Free's heart recognized Whitley as his from the onset of meeting her for the first time.

The story was very emotional and on top of all the drama happing around the club the story took some twists and turns and a few surprises that kept you turning each and every page to the very end.The story made me laugh, cry and emotional engaged my heart.I really loved the story and its characters as they were all engaging and a interesting lot!

We loved it and can't wait for the next installment.

Hayley definitely threw some unexpected but absolutely amazing twists into the lives of these Canadian Notorious Devils. After following this series for 10 volumes between the original Notorious Devils series and now the Cash Bar spin off, I love that Hayley keeps things new, fresh and completely unexpected while keeping with the tone of the series.
Whitley and Free have both been through so much, and if any two people deserve a HEA, it’s these two. Mason “Free” Kelly is the epitome of alpha male. He is controlling, strong, protective, but he also has a soft side her reserves only for Whitley. Whitley has been through so much, being kidnapped by the Aryans after they murdered her family, all she has ever wanted was to be free and to be loved. These two battle demons from their past, both in the flesh and in their heads, but finally find a way to make their own HEA.
This series just keeps getting better and better! I can’t wait to see what Devil will find his strong woman next.

This book deserves more than 5 stars. Hayley has knocked it out of the park with this book!

I've been dying for Free book and this wasn't a disappointment. Free has been living with guilt for a long time and doesn't believe he deserves happiness. That is until he meets Whitley. She's young, innocent and has had a hard life herself. The chemistry between these two is scorching hot and the age difference only makes it hotter!

I loved ALL the twists and turns in this book. I honestly believe this book is going to blow everyone away!!

I have loved all of Hayley Faiman's books especially her MCs and this one was no different. Wait a minute it was different it might be my favorite. I was already so curious about Free, I knew he had a sad story but Oh man reading it, feeling it and seeing his guilt was heartbreaking. I am a sucker for a broken hero!!
Whitley had a sad story of her own. I loved watching them make their way together, step by step bonding and healing. Together they were HOT and the age difference only added to that. It was just a perfect story. Don't get me wrong Free pissed me off at times but I love an #sshole changed by love. And Free was.. Yeah I really liked Free!!
The twist and turns in this book were awesome!! I was reading late into the night, falling asleep and Holy Crap! PLOT TWIST. I devoured what was left of the book. Sleep be damned!
That twist led to a perfect addition to the sweet sexy short story at the end. Cannot wait for more in this series and Hayley Faiman!!

5 Stars!

Hayley Faiman is one of the few authors on my short list of mc authors I'll read, devour and love. And I'll admit while it's not my usual cuppa, I thoroughly enjoy this author's books and the way she pushes my boundaries.. limits when I'm reading her books.

I was a huge of the her Rough and Ready series and an even bigger fan of the Cash Bar series and now finally Free and Whitley are taking center stage. Because if you've read this series and after our brief meet of them towards the end in Chased With Strength, I knew these two would be epic in a big, big way and probably rip me to shreds before making every single moment worth it.

She's a survivor stepping out of the shadows. He's living with guilt, shame, and fear. It won't be easy and they are going to give you every feeling (wanted + unwanted) out there but every moment and every step they took led them to this...each other.

Sexy. Raw. Gritty. Twisted. Suspenseful. Flamed With Courage lived up to every expectation I had when it comes to this author and then some. Free and Whitley's story was complicated, intense, heartbreaking, undeniable, and one I won't be forgetting anytime soon with all those punches to the heart I took on their journey.

If you like MC books with a gritty, raw, unforgettable quality then this author is a must read in every way possible.

I highly recommend this book and series.

With every new addition to this series the Cash Bar Novels continue to get even better. Flamed With Courage had me captivated from start to finish with Hayley’s incredible writing bringing to life a story that simply blew me away. Again. Actually, don’t be shocked. Hayley Faiman’s writing blows me away nearly every time. Her ability to weave seriously hot romance that has a ton of feels with deep and complex action packed mystery and suspense like no other shines brightly in this book.
Whitley and Free are my new favorite couple in this series. Both damaged from traumatic pasts, but together they’re pure beauty. There truly is a lot of healing and growing in their story making the emotions even deeper and more heartfelt. The immediate attraction and pull these two had to one another was something you could really feel coming off the pages and had me quickly loving everything about them.
As things heat up between Whitley and Free they’re also still heating up with the MC bringing in another element that kept me glued to the pages needing to know what was coming next! Full of shocking twists to match the amazing love story Flamed With Courage is an absolute must read!

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Talk about dealing with some emotional stuff. Free has relationship issues from a horrible past experience. He rescued Whitley from a compound where she had been held captive and essentially brain washed. Instead of dealing with any of this the two of them rushed to be together (though mostly his insistence) leading to what I swear is one misunderstanding after another before they finally make some leeway. If you like darker MC romance novels then you should try this one. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

description
I am loving the Cash Bar series by Hayley Faiman and Flamed with Courage is an intense, sexy, emotional read that shines in this series.

If you think Free is harsh with Whitley in the beginning then you need to pay attention to his backstory to know why his head is so messed up when it comes to her situation. His emotions are so tied up with a past tragic loss that he blows hot and cold with Whitley. But his need for her never blows cold. Free takes what he decides is his and that is Whitley.

I love a strong female character and Whitley is definitely that. From surviving an upbringing that is so horrific, to trying to make the best of the situation she now finds herself in with the Notorious Devils and Free. I love the patience she gives to Free and the courage to hope for more even if she thinks that love will never happen.

Hayley Faiman is such a phenomenal writer. I always devour each book of hers, amazed by the plot twists and complex characters she brings into my world. Can't wait for the next book in this series!

I liked this book but didn’t love it.

I understood Whitley and her thinking. Yes if you came from a cult especially as a child then that would always impact the scripts in your head.

I understood Free too. He had a really awful thing happen to him when he was a young man that shaped all future relationships. How he saved Whitley was wonderful. I even thought it was hot how dirty he was. What I didn’t like was his hot and cold. Whitley had been through enough and he came across really selfish and immature which was ridiculous considering how much older he was.

This story is written well. I have enjoy the other stories this author has written and this one isn’t horrible but it isn’t my fav.

What did I just read? I mean that in the best possible way. Flamed with Courage is a stand-alone novel in the Cash Bar series. While it can be read alone (I did so) I don’t suggest it. I felt like I missed a lot by not reading the other books. With that being said, I did enjoy this book. I will put the disclaimer that some very serious topics are discusses in this book so proceed with caution.
The plot of this book is intriguing. A woman living her life just to try and survive? A man living with his past demons coming in to save her? Add in a MC and I just knew this book would have a lot of action and heat. I was not disappointed. This book gave me everything I love in a book.
Whitley is such a great character. She is shy and timid at first, as she needed to be, but I really loved how she came into her own. I loved watching her blossom into the woman she could be with a little freedom. Then you have Free. Holy heck this man is strong. He has gone through some serious stuff and is still standing. That is a testament to who he is. I didn’t always like him, but by the end, I loved him.
The heat between these two is there from the very beginning. That happens when one views the other as a hero. Not to mention that he can’t seem to let the girl go. I feel like fate plays a heavy hand in pairing these two together. The scenes between these two are extremely sexy. Get yourself a glass of water before reading.
The writing style of this book is good. The pace is steady. I really enjoyed all of the action in this story. This story is also told from a dual point of view. I have to say there are so many twists and turns in this story. I did not realized what was happening until the very end. I was so surprised that I think I even gasped out loud!
Overall, this story kept me interested until the very end. I plan to go back and read the other books then come back to this one as I feel it will enhance the story for me. It will give me some understanding I feel I was personally missing in this story. I would recommend this book to others, but also caution them due to the content.

All though this was not my favorite MC Romance book ever it was not the worst either. The story in the book was pretty good. I did have a problem with the way Free, the main man, treats Whitley the leading lady. This girl has basically been held hostage and has seen more in 3 years than most people will ever see in a full lifetime. Free "rescues" Whitley from the racist Aryan group. This group sees woman as breeders only. Free pretty much treats Whitley as his personal sex toy. He leaves her pretty much locked in his room with no food or water at first. Things like that started to turn me off about this book. There is also a pretty good story but you have to get past all the sex to read it. Yes i knew going into this book that there was lots of sex, language and violence. None of which really bother me but there are full chapters of sex and a few pages of the story line. I have to admit towards the middle of the book I was skipping over the sex scenes, they were hot scenes but I wanted to get back to the story line. I did really like all of the characters in the book, even when I was mad at Free.

There are actually a couple story lines at least for me in the book. Eighteen years ago Free's woman Gemma was beaten and raped. She became addicted to sleeping pills and ended up killing herself. Free's guilt has eaten away at him for almost 2 decades. The Notorious Devil's MC which Free is the VP of, are going around and destroying the camps of the Aryan group. When he see's Whitley he takes her with him instead of sending her with the other woman and children from the camps to shelters. Free just has a feeling that Whitley will bring him back to life and help him past his past.

Whitley's parents were killed 3 years before when she was 16 and she was taken to the Aryan camps and forced to watch the children and also help int he sick sex between the leaders and the kidnapped woman. She has seen so much murder, abuse, and yet has not been touched. She counts her blessings about being left alone, she also has learned to be a shadow, out of site out of mind. After being rescued by Free, Whitley begins to feel like she may just be able to have a life not filled with fear.

You get to watch both Free and Whitley heal and find love in the book.

Hayley Faiman is one of my favorite authors and I am so happy that we got more Notorious Devils!!

This is the story of Free, who is the VP of the Canadian chapter, and Whitley, who is the girl they saved in the last book when they saved Hayden. It was basically lust at first sight. He sees her at the compound, picks her up and walks out with her lol It needs to be said that she is very much into it.

They both have drama in their pasts. Free is a little more traumatized by his, and that’s why he’s fighting the love he feels growing for Whitley. After lots of twists and turns (and OMG the drama at the end!!!!), they do get their happy ending. I also really loved the little novella at the end and I wish that couple got their own long story as well!!!

With all this being said, there were a few things that I thought were a little off in the story. They didn’t make me like the story any less, but they did bug me a little. One of them was the fact that Whitley, for someone who had been kept a prisoner in a compound where women were getting abused on a regular basis and where she was forced to witness the abuse and sometimes even assist the abuser, she was pretty relaxed when it came to sex and her huge attraction to Free. Her instant reaction when she first saw him threw me off (her thighs shook with lust on a regular basis). I also didn’t get any closure on who her family actually was. We are told that her grandfather was a Notorious Devils member from the States, but who was he? Honest to god, I thought it’d turn out to be MadDog or some crazy stuff like that, and I was mentally preparing myself for it LOL

All in all, good read. It could be read as a stand-alone, but where’s the fun in that? You should definitely go back where it all started, the original Notorious Devils, who, btw, also make a cameo ;)

I liked this so much better than I did Crooner and Hayden’s book. I love Hayley’s writing but these books have kinda took a nose dive for me. I mean they are good but I don’t think they’re as good as some of her past books. I got a bit bored in the beginning of this book before the plot really took off.
I had a hard time with the way Free treated Whitley in the beginning. He really was no better than the men of the compound. Even though she acted weak in the beginning I knew the strength that she possessed deep down, especially when she turned that right on Free and just let him have it!
Things I liked, the shaving scene was 😍😍😍I loved that intimate moment between them and it was so much more than the “fucking” that he claimed they did. I liked how when the true plot of the story happed it happened with a HUGE twist! One that I kind of had my suspicions about but I wasn’t certain. I loved the progression of Snakes character! I hope they all grow up like him! I also love when they capture one of these pieces of shot and torture them, I think it adds such an element to the story!
Things I didn’t like, it was a bit slow for me in the beginning. I’m a smut lover but this was a bit OTP for me in the earlier chapters, like I said it got so much better once the plot really thickened. I didn’t like his pet name for her. I don’t know why but it kind of got on my nerves a bit. I loathe these freakin Aryans and I hope they all bite the dust in a big way!!
All in all it was a good book, angsty to a point and tons of smut! I will always always read Hayley’s work because o think she is a fab author!

I was really excited to read this book, but I have to admit that it was a bit disappointing and not what I was expecting. The plot was entertaining and had lots of action and mystery along with steamy bits to make it good, but the characters are what really bothered me while I was reading.

Whitley has just been rescued by Free from a cult where she had been living, the last three of those years were by herself after her parents were murdered. I was imagining Free to be the tough biker that was sweet with this victimized 19 year old, but he really wasn't. He told her he would protect her, but but really made it seem as a condition. He didn't care if he scared her at all. He was really a big a**hole with her. He doesn't even apologize to her knowing how mean and controlling he is being.

It was confusing to read. I did not know if Whitley was with Free cause she liked him or because she had no other choice (Free didn't really give her one, he just claimed her). He was controlling her in a way similar to the cult she just escaped from. I'm not really sure how their relationship evolved because there didn't seem to many heartfelt conversations or him trying to help her over on from her trauma.

I wish that Whitley had stood up for herself more and that Free would have been nicer, but ultimately they got their HEA. The book comes with a short story at the end that I really enjoyed and made it all better.

I can't wait to read about who is next in the series and the strong woman that will bring the next tough biker down.

Oh my goodness I feel like I have been waiting Forever for this book. Ever since this chapter of the Notorious Devil's has started I have been waiting for Free's book. I have to say that except for Snake that Free has been my favorite so far, and I couldn't wait to find out his story.

Oh Free..... Free..... Free..... I have had a soft spot for this man since the beginning of this series. It has been made obvious that something happened to his woman a long time ago and that he has carried that guilt about it for many many years. I have to say that although I understood where Free was coming from with his guilt. I think he has been unreasonabally carrying around that guilt. I also have to say that many, many, many times I became frustrated with him in this book and how he acted. We get to see the many different sides of Free in this book.

I liked Whitley.... She's a young woman who unfortunately gets stuck at the compound after her parents death when they try to escape. For several years she kept her head down and tried to stay invisiable from the men of the compound. Although at times she was a bit timid, you could definitely tell she had an inner strength in her.

I did find this book to be enjoyable. Though I did find myself having mixed emotions on Free most of the time in this book. I will say that this book definitely takes us on a wild ride. It was also nice to see guy's from the other chapters of the Notorious Devils.

I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!

Whitley is in a real pickle not of her making. It was sad to see how her spirit was beat down by people that felt women were no better than cattle. Mason “Free” has had to see something that’s devastating. He’s a confusing character because his personality seems to change on a dime.

This is about a man who is a member of the Notorious Devils. If you haven’t read the previous two books in the series that’s alright – not needed to enjoy this latest addition. Whitley wasn’t at fault for the situation she found herself in but it was sad that she felt stupid. It was hard to believe that a relationship was going to form between two totally opposite characters. But that’s why a book is called a page-turner, we want to know where the author is going to take her characters. Sometimes it was hard to watch how Free would order Whitley around in order to get her to do what he wanted.

I kept looking to see if Whitley would grow into her freedom and really stand up for herself. I also wanted to see Free tone down his orders – but being in an MC seems to take over his personality. He redeems himself at the end where he confesses something to Whitley. He did make me curious about whether he made an appearance in the previous two books of the series – just means I have some reading to do. In the meantime, I’m trying to figure out if the ending was happy or if their story is going to be continued.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

The Cash Bar series just keeps getting better and better which I didn't think was possible, and yet, it is, and I'll NEVER EVER get enough of it. The ever brilliant Hayley Faiman absolutely wrote another EPIC story, and this one centered around Free, who has a past that has him mired in extreme guilt that keeps him in darkness. But that starts to change when he rescues Whitley from her own dark existence, and then they embark on a journey of togetherness which has a lot of pitfalls, as they have a big connection, but don't know each other well. He is overprotective which makes him overbearing & too controlling a lot, while she's scarred & doesn't always stand up for herself. But their chemistry is off the charts, so sexy times is where they get along perfectly while lighting the sheets up. As they spend time together, she starts to heal his heart, bringing light into the darkest places, and he starts to give her confidence, but danger is still stalking them from directions that they can't see. And the twists are insane, so my biker like f-bombs were flying as I dropped them so many times. The cast of secondaries from previous books were accounted for, which I loved because I love to see what they are doing, not to mention they're always going to add more depth. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this story, and this series, (just like I LOVE every series this author puts out), so it should go without saying that I'm going to HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Great story and as usual fantastic writing from this author. I loved the continuation of storyline from the previous book in the Cash Bar series and the glimpses of the characters we’ve previously met and are yet to learn about. The book had everything you’d expect, dark and twisted storylines, alpha male characters and some feisty females. My only real negative is the two main characters, Free and Whitley, I kind of understood where they came from, but Free was overbearing to the point I needed wine to get through it! And Whitley was too weak and inconsistent. I appreciate they both had pasts, and were defined by them, but I didn’t understand their attraction to one another other than a physical attraction. Free went into the ‘relationship’ determined to save Whitley, given her past he should have been more understanding and I couldn’t get past his selfishness. Whitley was told time and time again that she was Free, her inner thoughts were screaming at her to stand up for herself and become the girl she wanted to be, but she didn’t and it was rather disturbing to witness, for me she didn’t grow at all throughout the book. Towards the end they both grew on me a fraction, but my inability to connect with them is the reason for the 4 stars. The storyline was good and I will certainly read the next book in the series. Oh and the bonus short story at the end was fantastic.

I was pulled right into this story. This story contains heartbreak, pain, secrets, danger, and suspense.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first as this is a spin off series of the below series:
Rough and Rowdy (Notorious Devils MC, #1)
Rough and Raw (Notorious Devils MC, #2)
Rough and Rugged (Notorious Devils MC #3)
Rough and Ruthless (Notorious Devils MC #4)
Rough and Ready (Notorious Devils MC #5)
Rough and Rich (Notorious Devils MC #6)
Rough and Real (Notorious Devils MC #7)
Laced with Fear (Cash Bar #1)
Chased with Strength: Notorious Devils (Cash Bar #2)

This is Whitley and Free‘s story. Free is the Vice President of the Devils. Whitley just wants to remain unnoticed. She is taken by the Devils and she can no longer stay in the shadows where she likes to stay. He is living with a lifetime of guilt. Can he ever move on from it? When these two meet it will change both of there worlds. Can they handle the change? He sees her differently then she sees herself. Can she fit into his life? Will they be able to heal if they just let themselves love?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

4.5 Stars of awesome!

I have not read any of the Cash Bar series, so I was not sure what to expect, even though I like this author. What I found was an awesome book that had a lot of twists and turns that I was not expecting. It also had some great characters that were very memorable and had me empathizing with quickly.

The backstory of both characters painted a picture of pain and despair for both of them. They are both broken in different ways but blend beautifully with each other. There were some issues that I had with how Free treated Whitley, but at the same time I really liked how very in tune with her he was at times.

The premise of the story is really good and the writing kept me engaged through the story. I really started caring about Whitley more than I did any of the other characters in the story. I was so happy to read the parts were she took the her own power back and didn’t back down. And I really liked it when Free let it happen. He didn’t try to drag her down, he always worked to pick her back up.

All in all, I really liked FLAMED WITH COURAGE. The plot was good, the writing was engaging, the characters were very interesting and memorable, and the head level was very high. Definitely a win in my book and it looks like I am going shopping for more of these books.

We met Whitley in the previous book when she was rescued along with Hayden. Free is the one who "rescues" her and immediately takes her back to his room at the clubhouse, drawn to her in a way that he NEEDS to protect her and have her in his sight. Now this start to the book was quite sweet actually, they were both obviously drawn to each other and I was thinking that it would be good that Whitley was going to get something good finally.

However.. Free was a complete arse with her. The first half of this book I honestly hated the guy and couldn't believe that Hayley Faiman had written him like this for someone like Whitley's character; it was like she'd left one "prison" for another. Even though he did get a bit nicer by the end of the book it was too late for me and I still don't particularly like the guy and that sucks because even if the guy was bit bull-headed in previous books, he still had potential. I just didn't get that with Free unfortunately.

Overall, while I did like the story, and there were some HUGE twists in this book that has me eager for the next one, Free's character just let it down for me. It pains me to not give my beloved Notorious Devils 5 stars, but this one gets 4 from me.

Not sure how I missed this Notorious Devils series offshoot but I am now kicking myself for doing just that. I love Hayley's MC series, she gives us great stories with Characters we love and swoon after, brilliant twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat and completely gripped.

Whitely is so young and innocent despite the horrors she has witnessed. She had not been dealt a good hand in life. When Free lays eyes on her when they are rescuing Hayden from a Cult compound he knows instantly that she is his. Only problem is he needs to put his past behind him. I loved how Free became so over-protective of Whitely but oh I wanted to hit him round the head and throw my kindle many times because of his stupid behaviour. I wanted Whitely to walk away from him a few times, she had swapped one prison for another thanks to Free's behaviour. BUT even I can admit the chemistry between is scorching hot and Free can be sweet sometimes too.

I loved how this story lead up to the short story of deliciousness at the end.

Another great read from Hayley <3

I absolutely love Hailey Faiman's books and fell.in love with the Cash Bar Series right from book 1!! This book can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading the series from the beginning because the character background really does help!!
This is Free and Whitley's story!! Free is the VP and Whitley (who we met at the end of the last book when they saved Hayden) is a young girl who has been stuck in this crazy cult!! Free saves Whitley picks her up and carry's her away!! Both of them are traumatized by there pasts and your heart absolutely breaks for them!!
I was captivated and sucked in right from the beginning all the way till the end and read the whole story in an hour and a bit!!
I loved the characters and the story Hayley Faiman has a way of writing that draws you into the book and makes you feel like your right there in the story watching it all unfold!! This book has it all lust at first sight, twists, turns, heartbreak, love, loss, some seriously hot and sexy pattie melting moments and drama that at the end that blew me away!! I loved every moment of it and can't wait for the next story in this series!!

Ever since I saw Free in book 1 I was excited to read his story. Then after seeing how he rescued Whitley f/the Aryan’s compound in book 2, I was looking forward to his story. But he, like the other guys, was an a**. His guilt over his ex made him act out & be a d**k to Whitley a lot. His words were cruel at times & I felt for Whitley. His feelings were different for Whitley than they were w/Gemma, but because he never talked about them she didn’t know. If I were her, I’d definitely feel like I was competing w/a ghost, & I’d never have all of Free.
Whitley’s nickname, Kitten, was perfect for her. She was quiet, but she also had some sass & gave Free a little attitude at times. I busted out laughing when she referred to herself as his pet & said he forgot to water her before he left her in his room for hours. I probably would’ve thrown the burger he got for her right at his face. One thing for sure, she may have been sheltered for a couple years, but she’s definitely one very smart cookie.
This was a good read, it had one specific plot twist I definitely see coming. There’s a traitor & I would’ve never guessed it.

I absolutely love Free and Whitley! This is the first Cash Bar novel for me so I can say that her marketing it as a standalone is 100% accurate! Some authors will say standalone but you’ll feel left out; with this novel I absolutely did not feel left out at all! It was free and Whitley’s story and I got it without having to feel like I was in the dark about what was happening! I now though went out and grabbed the first two books because now I want to know more and I seriously can’t wait for book 4 because it was set up so nicely in the end! It wasn’t a cliffy it was just a nice intro into what I feel is coming up!!

I admire Faymen’s writing and her ability to create a story that is full of steam, love and mystery! Her words keep me on edge and wanting more! Free and Whitley both have dark pasts and though they seem like total opposites can’t think of two people who are more destined for each other then them!

If you love MC, a super hot alpha male, a strong female and steam that will knock your panties off then grab this beauty!!

3.5 stars. Gritty MC romance. This is my first read of the series so I missed the backstory on some of the characters and the Notorious Devils. This is a grittier MC story that some series I’ve read with dark themes of abuse and slavery. Women were a commodity on both sides for the most part which is probably truer MC behavior than the milder versions of MC’s. The story was action packed with danger, intrigue, lots of sex and good plot twists. Whitley is saved by Free from an evil group and it was insta lust for both which was off putting based on Whitley’s innocence and past. Also, it was difficult to believe that she would have been left untouched by the evils dudes. Free treated her like a sex toy at the beginning but eventually came to terms with his past and manned up. It was nice to see Whitley’s growth into a strong woman and Free grew on me as the story developed. Overall it was an entertaining read with an exciting storyline, a likable cast of Notorious Devils and a satisfying ending. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

Free and Whitley's story. Both of them have had traumatic experiences which have coloured their view of life. Free appears to still be suffering from what happened to his girlfriend and blames himself.

The story picks up from last book, Chased with Strength  Whitley is rescued by Free who runs off with her claiming her like a knight in not so shiny armour. In true Notorious Devils style Whitley has spent the last few years hiding in plain sight a silent witness to all the horrors around her but becomes more visible as her time with Free developed into more.

Unsurprisingly Free learns how to love again through Whitley he also learns how to be courage with that love something he initially fought because of the previous drama he suffered.

Lots of twists, plenty of action and some questions that still remained  unanswered like who is Whitley's biological family?  A really enjoyable read with a HEA for two characters that really deserve it.

Free described him self perfectly in this book. He was hot and cold most of the time but as the story started to get deeper we know his reason. When it came to Whitley he had those instant feelings that we knew would lead us on a while ride and boy did it. There was MC action, romance and so much more that intertwined this into a great book. From the beginning Whitley started off timid and scared but the author showed us that she had an amazing back bone and I loved seeing her stand up to Free but also show that she was strong and could prove her self when it mattered most. A lot happened in this book but the was able to keep a great pace, throw awesome twists and keep me on the end of my seat. I also loved the short story at the end of the book. It rounded out this book perfectly. I plan to go back and read the first 2 in the series soon. 4 stars #2OCCJD
