Edge of all the light is a light and emotional fiction that talks about the complexity of emotions when one has moved on in life while the other person is clinging to the past memories.

Story of Ahilya and Tanuj, childhood best friends who have spent so many years of their life with Dela Ma in her house. The trio have seen the worst and best days, the ups and downs of life and when you have been with someone for this long, no one knows them better than you do.

When Ahilya moves to America to complete her studies and Tanuj goes to Rajasthan and becomes a fighter pilot, the separation is unbearable, especially for Tanuj. He loves Ahilya deeply and he has always dreamed of settling with her....marrying her. But that was childhood and this is adulthood. Will Ahilya be able to reciprocate the same? Will she be able to develop romantic feelings for her Childhood best friend or will she marry a hot lad from America?

On the parallel side, another story is taking place where Srini is determined to take revenge against his family's unfortunate death in Sri Lanka. It was unfair to witness what had transpired but will his revenge be fair? Will he destroy innocent lives to satisfy himself?

Both the stories converge at one point and it builds up a lot of tension that is executed well.

This was my third book to read of Malathi and I must say, she has got a fine writing style that surprises you often unprecedentedly. However, I feel that since there were two major plot lines going parallelly, the transition at some places felt rough and confusing. There were quite a good amount of characters to remember which was bit difficult initially.

Over all, it is an amazing book that will show you different sides of the story and will make your heart warm at the end. A light and sentimental book to not miss.
