Someone keeps trying to kill them. Nick and Selena's unborn children are in the line of fire. I like Barbados rum, old, fast motorcycles, playing guitar and books by authors like Michael Connelly, Robert Crais, Alex Berenson, Craig Johnson and Lee Child. I write action/adventure thrillers. WHITE JADE is the first in a series featuring the PROJECT, a small, elite counter-terrorism unit. There are currently 23 books in the series.

Another solid, exciting, thrilling yet easy read that takes a lot of fact and historical hearsay, with an admittedly large slice of artistic licence, and another chapter with gripping twists and turns.
As usual, could be longer (it's just on the shorter side), and an ending that ensures I look forward to the next book.

I've enjoyed each and every one of Alex Lukeman’s Project Series; certainly, some stories were better than others, but all were still a good read and a delightful escape. "The Last Option" is the 13th entry in this popular Series. While each book can stand on its own, the books are better read in chronological order so the reader can watch the characters evolve and change. I greatly enjoy the main characters of this series, and I am especially happy to see Selena’s Russian sister appear in this story as well. This one deals with a lot of corruption in “high places,” as an evil international group hatches a plan to essentially take over the world. The doomsday clock is ticking. If the Project team doesn't stop this Armageddon plot in time, the world will pay the price.

"The Last Option" provides us with a lot of action and suspense, plot twists and turns, all which will keep you up past your bedtime. Sure, this story was a tad far-fetched; however, so are many of the action/ adventure books that give so many of us escape and enjoyment, like Fleming's iconic Bond, to Reacher or Jason Bourne. So why not just suspend reality for a while, relax, read, and enjoy the ride with the Project Team. That is a far more enjoyable thing to do than sorting socks. I really enjoy this series and recommend it to you.

The Last Option. Alex lukeman

The project team at one time was the Presidents (POTUS) secret weapon. They protected the United States against threats that citizens were never aware of . The president has been assassinated. The vice president has taken office. Unbeknownst to everyone he is a traitor. He is part of a group of extremely powerful and wealthy individuals who are willing to destroy America in order to gain their end goal. This is an extremely well written action thriller from the first to last page. A fantastic read!

Intriguing, suspenseful thriller!

A group called the Phoenix wants to start World War III to annihilate the world. They plan to be in a bunker underground until they see that the world is recovering. They then will come out and rule the world! The Project Team needs to find out who is making this happen and how. When they do, they will have to stop them. Alex Lukeman brilliantly unravels all the clues and subtleties to the readers bringing them to an exciting conclusion. I recommend this book. I couldn't put it down! Happy reading! 😊

Another Lukeman gem

Weaving his stories around actual events, things and circumstances are one of the reasons I enjoy the Project series. The world we live in today is technology driven and one does wonder if the mindset of the worlds’ leaders is in step with the actual consequences of allowing technology which touches every facet of our lives. This book touches upon this issue as it highlights the continued tensions between the USA and Russia.

Another good Project book from Mr. Lukeman. Number 17, wow. Wonder if it's drawing to an close. Love the characters and stories. I know, I know, over the top much? You'd think they would get a Special Forces team or something to help out once in a while. But I really like them anyway. Quick read, full of intrigue and action. My cup of tea. Hope it's not the last one!

The project series

I've been hooked since reading book 5, I then had to go back and get all the others. While each book stands on its own they are better read in order. This allows you to know the characters and follow their development and relationships as they take on each adventure.

I only hope we have a group of people like this in the real world, we sure could use them.

Last option ,book 17

This one was a wake-up call to realize what is going on in our world. The story excellent, as always, the history in fantastic, I already saw a documentary on the house in Argentina, very interesting. I was not happy about the ending, my fingers are crossed that the whole group will continue to work together.

Huh

Love these characters but it seems they might be getting
tired and the relatively simplistic plot didn't help. Maybe
Valentina will liven things up.

The Project series is a collective work by its author. I enjoyed this one, but it is not one of my favorites. Reading this series in order is important to me. I felt this was a short story expanded to make a book. Perhaps it is a segway into another book by filling in the gaps. Selena's sister is within the mix of Project characters.

Another good book in this series. The Project team is again targeted, but this time, by the sitting President. There is undue influence being applied by the "Phoenix" group and the President is just one of it's patseys. Because the Phoenix Group involves men from several countries, the story tries to follow each one of them. They are plotting a war between Russia and the U.S. It is a good story, even though, it winds around. The team is sent to Argentina. I am glad this author decided to write another book about this team, as I really enjoy reading about their escapades.

Merged review:

The Project team is again threatened by "Phoenix", a group of men who want to control the world and start a war between Russia and the U.S. There are different stories that all mix with the main story. I enjoyed the book and was happy this author decided to continue this series.

Nick and the team are back, Selena is very pregnant with the twins, Ronnie is almost as good as new. The president has been assassinated and team is on the chopping block, but they might also be the worlds only hope.

This book was as good if not better than the others but the ending is a bit disturbing. There was tons of action and suspense, plot twists and turns, that will keep you up past your bedtime reading (or listening) just to see what happens next. Jack de Golia is a awesome narrator and has made the project team family to me (trust me I would love to bounce some questions off of Freddy now and again), but Ronnie, Lamont, and Nick would be the most awesome big brothers ever, just think of the skill set you would grow up knowing, LOL. Thank you again Mr. Lukeman for so many hours of enjoyment I look forward to many more.
