Full disclosure: I am one of the featured authors in this anthology, but I am not including myself in this review.
The "I'm Dead?" anthology has been the only book I've had time for these past few months, but I'm glad to say that I felt I was in good company with it. I'm not usually one for short stories, but I loved having these shorter reads for my quick train trips or spare time in between study sessions, and some of these stories are incredibly original!
The standouts for me would have to be "Only the Light Moves" by Amanda McHugh, "Last Words" by Michael Grantham, "I'll Meet You There" by Morgan Jensen, "Crimson Skies" by Feliciano Arrieta Jr., and "A Failed Adoption" by Katie Krantz.
While I found each of the individual stories to be enjoyable, these five are the ones that have stayed with me. An interesting twist here, a shocking ending there, characters that I wish I could have seen more of... I'll definitely be revisiting these ones in the years to come.
