One night to drown all the pain is all it’s supposed to be … or so we thought. We were wrong. Secrets, lies and betrayal changes both of our lives forever.
Cocky. Self-assured. Confident. Skilled.
Crow is the President of the Ravage Motorcycle Club Rebellion Chapter—my father Rhys’ MC.
The way Crow commands the space is all alpha bad boy biker. He’s enthralling. But it’s more than that. Somehow he grips that broken part of me that weeps for the loss of my grandfather. He is my solace when all is lost, the only person who can calm my soul.
This second chance encounter ignites an already growing desire. It explodes into passion neither of us anticipated. The connection is too strong to ignore. I wasn’t the only one in agony. Our lives intertwined in a way neither of us expected. We’re connected in pain, bound by family loyalty, and consumed with lust. But he’s, forbidden, because he’s much older—which makes him even hotter.
If I choose wrong, I’ll lose the one thing I’ve always had—respect within the Sumner Ravage MC. I’ll lose my family.

DNF I got 50% through this and was bored out of my mind. Then I realized that this was part of the Ravage series. I had finished OG Ravage, but only made it half way through the 2nd Gen Ravage. I decided to go start at the beginning and re-listen to everything.
Bound By Consequences killed the rest of the series for me. It wasn't like this was a particularly spectacular series to begin with, but that book was so awful that I decided I'm must over the Ravage MC.
Connected in Pain by Ryan Michele was the first book in the spin off Ravage MC Rebellion series. It was part one of a trilogy involving Crow and Rylynn.
Rylynn grew up in the Ravage MC in Sumner, GA. She was the daughter to Rhys and Tanner (Inflame Me) and the granddaughter to Dagger and Mearna. The MC life was her world and she embraced it. She was beautiful, smart, snarky, humorous, independent, self sufficient and capable of standing her ground with anyone.
Crow was the President of the Ravage MC chapter in Rebellion, AL. We met him in Bound by Wreckage; which left us with a pretty big cliff hanger involving Crow. He was gorgeous, strong, protective, fierce, and Uber alpha.
As part of a trilogy, the story will unfold in parts. Connected in Pain focused on educating us to both lives, diving deep into their daily activities, providing the foundation for them separately as well as establishing the connection between them. I loved both characters and every word. It was well written, well developed, complex, suspenseful and sexy. We were left hanging so I can’t wait to see where Michele takes Crow and Rylynn next in Fueled By Fire.
After all that happened in both Bound by Destiny (Book #5) and then Bound by Wreckage and the way it ended I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. The desire to know how everything would play out was strong. Very. VERY strong and when it was announced that the next book would be Crow’s and Rylynn I was thrilled. Of course I was a little surprised that it would be a spinoff of sorts and a start of a ‘new’ chapter of the overall series, but that only made me want to the book more to see what the author had in store for us and I LOVED it all. From Crow and Rylynn to the...let’s say the path that was taken. It was a slight surprise, but one that I agree was necessary given all that had gone on going into it and what this series and these characters so richly deserve.
Now for Crow and Rylynn. I adored them, not that it was, or should be, a surprise considering I’ve loved and adored the Ravage MC couples from the first time I picked up one of their books, but these two totally drew me in. Crow is a good man down to his very bones. Loyal, honorable and protective ~ the Alpha AF label fits him to a T. Rylynn is sweet, sassy, snarky and has a maturity that makes her appear a lot older than she is. She is still young, but has a really good head on her shoulders. As for their journey. It was unexpected, but perfect. I love them when they are together because, regardless of the oh SOOO SMEXY chemistry that blazes between them when they are together, there is also a sense of...serenity. They simply flow well together in all ways.
I’m a total #fangirl of the series as a whole and love the direction that the author has taken it. Everytime I open the pages to one of the books, it feels like coming home. The characters have become “mine” and I cannot get enough of them and after finishing this baby, that feeling has grown exponentially!

Safe, aside from two unwanted kisses between the hero and his ex. Nothing big. But the heroine left him for that, so good for her. She was a real badass.
Recommended to whom who likes badass people, leather jackets and an ass covered with jeans, lethal situations, blood and angst and a lot of sex 😊
Our girl is not a bashful one, "I decided to speak. “Actually, my inner hellcat was let loose, and I climbed him like a tree.” There is time for sassiness and then there's not and our man lets his girl know that, "he growled low, “You know damn well I ate you for breakfast.” I liked this book, and Im so excited about these new characters!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has suspense, secrets, guilt, pain, and heartbreak.
This is Rylynn and Crow‘s story. Crow is the MC president and totally Alpha. He takes his job of protecting the MC very seriously. Rylynn was raised in a MC and knows how things work. But she has a sassy side that comes out to play and she is also wise beyond her years. She is young but is not immature. She knows what she wants and is not afraid of getting it. These two are very passionate and come together in an unexpected way. But it works for this story.
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
Loved Rylynn and Crow’s story, it had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation and left me reeling with all the twists. Crow as we know is the President of the Rebellion chapter and Rylynn is Rhys’s daughter from the original Ravage MC chapter. Drinking too much she wakes up the next morning to find herself in bed next to Crow 😂 Loved the backstory of Crow and I was intrigued to find out more about him 😍
Thank you Ryan for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review❣️I can’t wait for more on this Rebellion chapter💕
Crow got a bj after Rylynn but don’t worry he was thinking about Rylynn the whole time. He had two kids for two different women. One kid was with his high school sweetheart. One was with a junkie so was she a club girl at one time?? His son is sixteen she’s 19 about to be twenty.

A new series here for the Ravage MC. Plenty of action, drama, suspense, twists and of course super hot sex scenes that will have your pages smoking. The story has Rylynn; daughter of Rhys and Tanner from the Ravage MC and Crow, the Rebellion, Alabama Chapter President. Their first meeting is hot but will they ever meet again and continue their liaison? There’s so much going on but fate always finds away. A great read, very exciting. Some great new characters especially Rylynn, l love that for once she’s also tough and a no nonsense kind of gal, a real hero in her own right. I finished this book on a high note and now I can’t wait for the next instalment which comes soon.
They were both raised in the world of the Ravage MC, but in different chapters. He is the son a President and is now the President of his Chapter, and she is the daughter of one of the most feared and dangerous enforcers in the history of the club. They hooked up, superheated, met up again later on, and tried to stay part from each other. Didn’t work, they couldn’t stop thinking about the other one. He wants her enough to have a war between the chapters, she wants him enough to defy her father and the Ravage family. They fall and fall hard and nothing is go to get between them. Ms. Michele, has done it again and has woven a truly amazing story that just sucks you in and makes you feel like you are apart of the MC.
This is the first book in the Ravage MC: Rebellion Series by Ryan Michele. Crow is the President of Ravage MC Rebellion, Alabama chapter and he loves his club it’s made him into the man he is today. Rylynn Cameron Hutton is the daughter of Rhys and Tanner and the granddaughter of Dagger and Mearna, her father and grandfather are members of Ravage MC Sumner chapter. She has always been unshakable, unbreakable, and strong as hell. But right now she feels completely lost and alone after losing a loved one. She finds her escape at the bottom of a bottle and when she wakes up the next day Crow is naked, laying next to her. She has never slept with a brother before, leave it to her to not only sleep with a member of Ravage MC but a President. She expected to feel shame or regret for breaking one of her own rules but she felt neither. She was a strong willed and stubborn woman and Crow was the first man who ever made her completely surrender to him - and she liked it. Would she be just another one night stand for Crow ? Would they be able to have a future together ? I said it before and this book is another example of Ryan Michele and her love of the letter “Y”.
Well the brilliant Ryan Michele has definitely started another new series with a bang penning Connected in Pain, and frankly, like all of her previous books, I couldn't get enough! This story surrounds the sexy AF Crow, President of the Rebellion chapter, and sassy Rylynn, daughter to Rhys from the Sumner chapter. They hook up, and it's HOT HOT HOT, like set the sheets on fire HOT! Which is something that shocks Rylynn, who has always told herself that she won't ever hook up with a brother in a MC. But there's something about Crow that she can't refuse. And luckily, she knows the score, and is independent as all hell, so she's no clingy woman, especially since they don't live anywhere close, but when he runs into her again, he definitely looks at it like a gift. But there's all kinds of chaos surrounding them, so the twists allow me to drop f-bombs like the bikers themselves. Then that cliffy? Yeah, I'm dying inside for the next installment, so instead of going on anymore, I'm just going to end this review so no spoiler douchery appears by HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!
This book is between a 3 and a 4 star for me. I haven’t read the series that came before this but I was able to follow most of it. I think the author did a good job giving the reader a lot of background info so we could figure out all of the characters and the backdrop about the club, but the details of the backdrop slows the story down. I loved the chemistry and the relationship between Rylynn and Crow. Crow is a little too cave man for me but he clearly feels a lot of passion for Rylynn. Ry is young but she can more than hold her own with Crow, I like her spunk. One strange thing is they keep talking about how much older Crow is Than Ry but the author never tells us how old he is. Im guessing 32-33, which really isn’t old! I even liked the big bomb that’s dropped at the end of the book, although I think I’d better appreciate the implications of this twist in the story if I had read the previous series. I also hate cliffhangers but I will go on and get the next book in the series.
DNF... nope! Look, I know people label anyone over 18 as an adult &, sure, legally they are but that does not actually make them one. Lead female is 19 & he's in his mid-late 30's. He's got a son who's 2 years younger than her!!! No! Just no! Someone not being jail bait isn't a good enough excuse to hook up. Personally, I'm not big on reading about a teenager (because she is) and a grown adult man going at it. And then the fact that every time they hook up it's unprotected sex. Because the "I'm clean, I'm on birth control" line is all you need to go forward. He's the president of an MC, hooks up with gross women constantly & she doesn't see something wrong with having sex without him wrapping it up? Again, shows her dumbass age. I'm sick & tired of this formula in books & people falling all over themselves like it's so romantic. Ugh!

Connected in pain is book....12......in the series, given free so you buy more....I don't think so!!!!!!! I HATE CLIFFHANGERS, AND IF YOU GAVE A HEADS UP SAYING IT WAS A DUET, I WOULDN'T HAVE MINDED BUYING IT NEXT TIME ADVERTISE CLIFFHANGER....DUET....ANYTHING INSTEAD OF WASTING MY TIME
FOR THE RECORD I'VE READ MANY MC BOOKS AND NEVER WAS AN AUTHOR THIS LOW!
This is a cliff hanger and you have to keep buying books to get to the end. Don't understand all the 5 star reviews either as it was rather boring.first time and last time I buy anything from this author.
This book was more of a big introduction to the Rebellion chapter then anything And didn't have much in be the way of the couple it was supposed to be about. I'm hoping the next installment makes up for this one
This is Ryan Michele's newest release and HOLY GUACAMOLE!!! The second generation of Ravage blew me away and I thought it couldn't get any better, well Connected in Pain just continues on. This story picks up where Bound by Wreckage left off. However, this story introduces a whole mess of new characters as we meet the Ravage MC: Rebellion Chapter.
Rylynn is Ravage through and through. The woman is tough as nails and the female version of her father Rhys. She is scary and not afraid to lay it all out there. I think she could give Princess a run for her money. I loved learning more about her. Ryan kind of kept her in the other stories, but not fully disclosing all that is Rylynn. She is fierce, loyal, strong, and powerful. There were moments that broke up the heaviness of conversations and interactions that had me chuckling. Rylynn had a sense of humor that was all her own and it suits her to a T. I don't know that she could have been written any other way because the Rylynn we get to see in this story just blossoms from all the appearances she's had in the last ones. She has a lot that she is dealing with and I thought Ryan did a phenomenal job giving each layer of Rylynn justice. She didn't shortchange any resolutions at all and you could tell really wanted to write Rylynn in a way that gave justice to her. (Probably so Rhys wouldn't torment her in her sleep LOL.)
Crow is Ravage MC: Rebellion Chapter. It's what he lives and breathes and all he's known in his life. Much like Rylynn, he is proud of his club and where he comes from. When Rylynn crashes in his life, she becomes this balm to his every swirling storm. Ryan introduces us to Crow and you will hit the ground running hard and fast. She takes you on a powerful ride that will have you feeling everything! I really liked how he was written and all we got to learn about him. He is a great character that has moments with Rylynn causing me to laugh but also see how grounded he can be with her. That diner scene had me chuckling and I couldn't wait to see if they were going to kill each other or... do something else.
We meet the rest of the Rebellion MC in this story and I can see that I am going to enjoy this new chapter just as much as the old. It doesn't matter which chapter of Ravage it is, Ryan delivers on everything showing that the Ravage bond is present in every club with their name. Some of the key characters we get to meet only add to the awesomeness of this story. Brewer, Wrong Way and Phoenix are just some that you meet. They all help Crow and show that Ravage MC: Rebellion is family. We get to see some of the original chapter of Ravage and they fit perfectly into the story of Rylynn and Crow. It's always great when you can return to what you know but I'm excited to see where this new series will go.
Overall the story was written well and flowed. There wasn't any downtime that made the book feel like it was dragging. The plot and arc of the story were planned and thought out in a way that didn't leave you confused. It built on an amazing ending in the Bound series and I feel it will only continue to grow from there. I'm giving it 5 pointe shoes as it had everything I wanted in a story and then some.
This is a brand new series from this author. It is a split from the original Ravage series. A new chapter in the city of Rebellion. OH MY GOD!!! I loved every stinking second of this book. I loved everything and I mean everything about it. I get people from the original series. Rylynn is the daughter of Rhys from the original series and Dagger is her fallen grandfather. I loved how it crossed and connected. I love getting to read new people being introduced as well as the regulars. So much fun. They have so much in common. Loved the pace and the writing. The plot was great. Who doesn't love a forbidden romance, with that May/December feel to it because let me tell you this one is one. I was enraptured from beginning to end. It will leave you wanting more.
The book opens in one of the most different ways I have read. Rylynn is drowning her sorrows. She was really close to her grandfather. Crow is in Sumner for a fallen members funeral. He is watching her and there is that spark. One look and then the connection is there. She has something in her that he sees and sets him on fire.
I loved how Rylynn is independent no matter how bad her father wants to protect her and do her own thing. She is to a point. She had rules never ever be with a club member. She grew up around it, knows all about club life. Doesn't change the fact that they shouldn't. She doesn't shy away from her feelings, she is sassy, fiery and I loved her snarky humor. Her job is great and not one of the men in her life like it. Her little sister made me laugh.
Crow, oh my gosh. Crow lives, and breaths for his club. The Brotherhood. I loved that man. He is great. The love he has for his kids. It makes your ovaries explode and send your heart fluttering. He even has a decent relationship with his son's mother.
This book has so much in it. I loved the drama, people, plot just everything. So much to read. It is exactly what you would expect from Ryan and so much more. The plot twist and that ending. I wanted to keep turning pages to get more because this book is left with quite the doozy of a cliffhanger. Good news is we don't have to wait long. I will be right there waiting.
Passionate, explosive and unbelievably epically awesome! Who would have thought that the Ravage MC could get any better. But it can! Welcome to Rebellion, Alabama.
Connected in Pain is book 1 of a new series from Ryan Michele. Here we get to connect with the Rebellion Chapter of Ravage MC. Now it may be a new chapter, new crew, but it is definitely the same Ravage MC. These boys are no different from the original members in Sumner. They are fiercely loyal to their club, fighting side by side as brothers always having each others backs. Taking care of business Ravage style, you do not want on their bad side, screw them over and you are in for a world of pain.
Now don't get me wrong their is a cross over with the Sumner chapter. In this book we focus on Crow, President of the Rebellion chapter and Rylynn, daughter to Rhys from the Sumner chapter.
Rylynn is full of spunk, she takes no prisoners and doesn't pull her punches. This girl is hard down to her core, which is understandable as she has learnt these traits from her very scary, rough, tough enforcer father (who is my favourite character from the Ravage MC). She is also wise beyond her years and more mature than her age would let on.
Crow is older and has more life experiences under his belt than you can imagine. His daily life consists of running his club, and taking care of his brothers and family. He personally oversees every aspect of their business and his brain never seems to stop working. Burning the candle at both ends could have devastating consequences.
It was one look, at a time when Rylynn needed an escape that turned into something neither wanted to let go, alas life gets in the way. This book rocked my world, I am a huge fan girl of this series! From the very beginning I have been hooked on the men for the Ravage MC and this book is just another example of their greatness. Loved it!
So first I want to say with the way the last two books went in the Ravage Bound series I had high hopes for this book. Than as I had finished Bound in Wreckage, I had become really excited about this book and couldn't wait to read it. I mean seriously who wouldn't become excited about a new series and new character's.
Now I'm going to try and not give anything away here. But I will say this my excitement for this book started to go downhill while reading. While I will say that I liked Crow and Rylynn's character's and thought the book had potential. I found that it became very repetitive at times.
I really liked Crow in this book. I've liked Crow's character ever since we meet him at the end of Bound in Wreckage. I think the hard thing is that we only got pieces of him in this book, and yes I know there's a reason behind that. He's a man who obviously loves his children very much, and loves his club.
Rylynn, if you don't know who Rylynn is than I'll let you know. She's Rhys and Tanner's daughter, Dagger and Merena's granddaughter. I felt for Rylynn, I really did. She's a young lady who is still reeling from the loss of her grandfather and trying to deal with the pain that brings. She's also trying to run her business on the low from her father.
I will say this although I liked this book, I had a hard time connecting with this book. At times I felt like there was a serious disconnect with it. I also kind of found the chapter's, especially Rylynn's chapter's to be a bit repetitive. Like I said at the beginning of this book I had high hopes for it and it just kind of left me feeling, eh....
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5 and hope the next ones better!!!!
***I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion**
