I've been dealing with Thyroid issues for many many years. Finally someone was able to explain it to me, without making me feel stupid. I also had different questions for my doctor now. For the first time in a long time I have hope that I can manage this. Definitely, recommend this, if you ever had issues with your Thyroid, or just health issue in general.
I learned a great deal from this book. For years I have suffered with low thyroid function and for years I have taken a low dosage thyroid medication. When I had to change doctors the new doctors thinks I do not have this problem. Now but the hair loss and hormone imbalance symptoms are back. I want to thank the author for writing this book it gave me some hope. Do get the bonus information so far it has all been free that of course may change down the road but the information I have already received has been very useful. It is written in a scientific manner, but it really is not hard to understand. Even if you do not think you have a thyroid condition, this is a good book to pick up it just may surprise you what all the symptoms are. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
Having being diagnosed with hypothyroidism and given levothyroxine for nearly a year with little improvement of my symptoms and with an unsympathetic GP, I found myself reading and trying to learn as much as possible to understand why the quality of my life has been deteriorated so dramatically when my gp days in fine. I stumbled upon this book and I found a lot of responses and clarification about my symptoms and what I can try and do to find a better way to deal with my illness. Thank you Dr Soszka, I just wish I could get to Portland..
This probably. Is a good book but not for me. It reads like a science
Textbook with far too many details. It would require total concentration and more taking for me to retain much of the information. Then it got sloppy by defining simple concepts like what is tau chi. Worst of all was the author recruiting business for thyroid treatment over the phone. With him. This person seems to be way too full of himself.
Full of information about the thyroid, thyroid medicine, lab tests, supplements, food, diets, etc. Very interesting and informative, All the information a bit tedious and difficult to read through twords the end of the book. I guess, I was really just looking for a better understanding of thyroid disease.
I highly recommend reading this book for anybody with hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's. I can't wait to make the changes suggested in this book, so I can feel better and lose weight.
I've had hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's for a number of years. My dr suggested I read a few books on this and adrenal fatigue since I've now been dealing with the issues for a while.
It wasn't bad. Didnt really tell me anything new that will help though.
This is aimed at the US market where patients can order lots of tests. Not really helpful for the UK where this isn't an option, with the NHS doing its best but stretched after Covid.
