Beh, forse un po' più debole di tutti gli altri. Ci mette un sacco di tempo a far comparire il morto e risolve troppo velocemente con una sola intuizione di Sherlock. Si prepara il campo per affrontare il discorso riguardante le lettere che Mila aveva ricevuto, quelle che accusavano Sherlock di aver ucciso il marito di Irene.
Adesso mi metto a leggere il successivo.

Novela infantil/juvenil +12 años Crimen y misterio.
Este libro se lleva para mí, muchos puntos por la ambientación, tanto invernal como navideña dentro y fuera de la posada donde transcurre la historia. Te hace sentir el frío, las ganas de sentarse al lado de un buen fuego, con una mantita en los pies y chocolate caliente con galletitas de Jengibre, y es que en medio de todo el desarrollo de la novela, describe en los momentos adecuado ciertas escenas que te evocan estas situaciones sobre todo después de estar expuestos a una tormenta de nieve o caerte en un suelo mojado y tener que correr a cambiarte... El libro me pareció encantador, con personajes entrañables y el misterio que se desarrolla poco a poco, Y es que el personaje de una niña pupila de Holmes será quién intente resolverlo. Nos da pistas para intentar componer el crimen y dar con el culpable (aunque encuentro que como siempre en este tipo de libros se guardan algo bajo la manga que no nos dicen, ni intuimos y cuando lo cuentan termina de encajar en el misterio). Una pequeña joya que sin grandes pretensiones te hace disfrutar de una lectura amena.

I waited a long time to read this and can't hide that I am disapointed.
This book really confirmed this saga's biggest flaw: too much Sherlock Holmes. I don't mind him being very present in the story or the investigation but one can only read so many times how smart and observant a character is before becoming bored of it. I understand that Mila looks up to him as a mentor but that doesn't make it any less tiresome, especially when we have two amazing characters who are constantly sidelined in order to put the spotlight on Sherlock. It's not the first time this happened in this series and I'm afraid it won't be the last, but there's really no reason as to why Irene and Arsène couldn't have a more important role both in the investigation and in the story (especially Lupin).
Not only that but the investigation is too rushed, they spend a large chunk of the book focused on the possible mysteries surrounding the Inn's guests
Nonetheless this book was still a fun read and there were a lot things I really liked about it:
- The Norton storyline seems promising and I can't wait to know what happened. It not only brings back the A Scandal in Bohemia story but also makes Mila distrustful of Sherlock and Irene, adding tension to their relationship.
— Billy's and Mila's friendship is really cute and i like how open they are with eachother, even the romantic undertones aren't too cheesy.
— I really love the family-like way the trio and the kids behave

I do have to say that I haven't got my hands on the 16th volume of this series so there are a few things (such as Norton's storyline or Billy and Mila's friendship) that are a bit alien to me but didn't stop me from enjoying the story, if anything it only made me more curious to what happened in the previous volume.
I'll probably wait a while to read the next book since I don't want this series to end so quickly. On top of that, the spanish translation has ended here so I'll have to read the other ones in french and then italian if they don't translate the rest. Does anyone know if there's a record for the amount of languages you can read a book saga in? I think 4 is a pretty good number.

Leí Un crimen en Navidad porque mi hermana está haciéndose esta colección y me tentó diciendo: te va a encantar, se ambienta en un pueblecito de la campiña inglesa, como los Cotswolds.
Y así fue 🧡
En esta serie de novelas, la autora crea un mundo en el que Sherlock Holmes, Irene Adler y Arsène Lupin se conocen desde pequeños y se crían juntos. Aunque en la que yo he leído, la número 17 de la saga, ya llevan 50 años conociéndose y deciden pasar las navidades en un pueblecito inglés.
Me ha gustado mucho transportarme a esa posada inglesa en la que con mucho cariño, la dueña trata a los huéspedes como familia y la nieve ha sido total protagonista. 🌨
El personaje de Mila, la hija adoptiva de Irene, me ha encantado. Se pasa la novela investigando y sospechando. El peso y el protagonismo es para Sherlock y no sé si se irá alternando en la saga o es siempre así, porque es la primera que leo. Pero me ha encantado ver a un Arsène tan risueño aunque apareciera menos que Sherlock y Mila.
Así que iré robándole a mi hermana los que se vaya comprando porque tengo ganas de ver a este trío en pleno apogeo, cuando eran solo unos niños =)

Al principio ha arrancado un poco lento y el final ha ido demasiado deprisa. Pero me ha gustado el ambiente navideño junto a todos sus personajes. Mila cada vez va aprendiendo más el oficio de detective y Billy es un personaje que me llama mucho la atención. Quiero, no. Necesito saber sus orígenes. Siempre es un placer ver en acción a Arsène, Sherlock y a Irene.
Una lástima que no hayan traducido más libros al español.

Una historia sencilla que reúne a Sherlock, Lupin e Irene ya mayores acompañados de la hija de Irene y un amigo en un hostal para celebrar la navidad. Es corto, juvenil y forma parte de una serie de libros, siempre es un gusto disfrutar de Sherlock.
