She knew she was flirting with danger, but she never meant to let the spider in…

Santos Olaru is a seasoned vampire-warrior and an unforgiving mercenary who protects the descendants of Jadon against all enemies, preternatural or human. He is also a whiz with technology and computers – a virtual ghost in any machine – who uses his unique set of talents to make problems disappear. Until now, Natalia Giovanni has flown beneath his radar, even though she has been following him through cyberspace for years…

As the only child of a billionaire whose criminal empire spans human trafficking, generational slavery, and forced prostitution, the beautiful human female has been a prisoner all her life: She has been sheltered, threatened, and exploited by her father to make his dark, seedy business appear legitimate. Unbeknownst to Natalia and her father, she has also been promised in marriage to a brutal vampire: a Dark One in the house of Jaegar who intends to use the stunning brunette to breed a son—and a sacrifice—for a soulless colony.

When Natalia hacks into Santos’ computer and places an end-around chat box on the warrior’s screen, she unwittingly spins a sticky web…and invites the spider in.

A powerful curse is set into motion; a primordial hourglass bleeds sand; and an ancient Blood Moon beckons two unlikely players to a deadly game of love and chance.

Tessa Dawn grew up in Colorado, where she developed a deep affinity for the Rocky Mountains. After graduating with a degree in psychology, she worked for several years in criminal justice and mental health before returning to get her master’s degree in nonprofit management.

Tessa began writing as a child and composed her first full-length novel at the age of eleven. By the time she graduated high-school, she had a banker’s box full of short-stories and novels. Her Dark Fantasy/Gothic Romance novels represent her long-desired return to her creative-writing roots and her passionate flair for storytelling.

My internet is here! Yay!!😁❤️❤️
So, I had been reading while the internet on leave!😘

This is one of the book I like, actually I like this series very much, highly recommend if you read paranormal romance but beware though, this series very bloody and this author have no squabble in making children and women part of the horrendous victims. Not that detailed but certainly not a fluffy crimes!

This one is no different, our heroine is the daughter of the evil villain and how that will go when she is the destiny of the guy who is job to destroy her dad? Lovely I say! 😘

Okay, if you’re interesting with this series, start with book #1. You don’t need to read the whole books in the series but reading book#1 will give you the basic knowledge what this series all about.
And yes, like many other series, the main storyline is continuing but the couple in each book is different eventhought the previous couples often make an appearance.

I can’t wait for the next one, we’ve got the glimpses of the H/h next book, and it was awesome!
Unfortunately this author only published this series once a year 🤨
Oh well...

Am I okay with everything that happens in this series? No.
Is it comfortable to read about all the dark stuff? All the murder, rape, blood, slave, kidnappings and so on? Not unless you're a sociopath.
But after reading so many of her books you simply get so used to it that the gore and blood and killings are simply expected.

I find this author to be quite extreme in her darkness or lightness, but doesn't change the fact that the plot is quite interesting. My ratings are sorelly for that reason. I don't agree with a lot of things. Can't understand others, but definitely find the plot and this world interesting. And the more I read it, the more I wanna know more about the characters.

Love this series, been reading since book 1. Blood web was good but the story felt intruded by Keitaro and Zayda. Personally I am not a fan of those two getting together and it seems this is where the author wants to go with it (my opinion, just seems so ick) so reading about them was not fun for me.
Santos and Natalia were good.

Now the ending epilogue was really good. Cant wait for that one!

I read this in August 2018. I just noticed this book in my read list and thought I'd post my thoughts because I still remember the main problem I had with this book, and I probably should have rated this book 2 stars.

Overall this is one of my favorite PNR series. It gives me warm fuzzies because the couples are soul mates. It's safe in that way, yet there's real horror in this series too. Book 1 is so-so, pretty good, but the series does get better. I love misunderstood bad boys and Tessa Dawn definitely wrote a great one with Saber. Tessa Dawn is a great writer, and in her bio it says she majored in psychology and I can tell by reading her books because each character has psychological depth. The men and the bromances are sometimes better developed than the women though.

I also like this series because the vampire mythology has depth, is unique, and is well thought out. Tessa Dawn did what few authors have done and created a fascinating origin for her vampires too.

While I was disappointed with this book, the introduction to the next book, Blood Curse #11, renewed my faith because it was 10x better than this book. It introduced a new character previously mentioned in the origin story of her vampires and I've been waiting almost a year to read Book 11 now. I can't wait.

Ok, this book didn't work for me for many reasons, but the #1 reason was the 'technological' aspect. It was clearly out of the authors wheelhouse. Right before I read this book almost a year ago I finished the tv show Mr. Robot. The hacking element in Mr.Robot is authentic and I had second-hand embarrassment for Tessa Dawn while reading the 'hacking' part of this book. It's almost a year since I've read this and these are the two things I remember: #1 The hacking storyline in this book was bad and #2 The next book seems awesome. I can't remember anything else in the plot except the main male character was unremarkable and the female main character seemed too much like a princess.

Also, thanks Jilly, I started this series because of your awesome reviews 💖

From the first word to the last, Blood Web had non-stop action. It’s something that I have come to love about Tessa Dawn’s books. I was completely engaged the entire time. We get to see old friends and connect to some of them on a deeper level. Tessa brings the emotions right to the surface and just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, she made a hard twist and kept me guessing until the very end. And the epilogue? I can’t even begin to describe what’s in store for us next! It was brilliant and left me gasping for air.
Tessa Dawn is an all time favorite author of mine. There isn’t one book of hers I haven’t read multiple times, Blood Web will be no different. She surprises me every time I step into the world of the Blood Curse Series and I can’t wait to go back.

Natalia Giovanni is young, smart, and gorgeous. She is her father’s only daughter and she is somewhat his prisoner. Unable to live a normal life, she uses cyberspace to alleviate the monotony of her life. She stumbles across a picture of a man and is so intrigued that she starts to chat with him. Hacking into his computer, she unknowingly spins a web that she has no way out of. She didn’t expect a response when she reached out to him and when she does it scares her out of her mind. She can’t break free once she has piqued the interest of the dark stranger. She has awakened the beast and he is coming to claim her.

Santos Olaru, a vampire warrior and protector of the House of Jadon. He uses his skills in technology to make sure humans live their lives oblivious to the vampire world. Natalia hacks into his computer and he decides to play her game. Her father is a crime lord that preys on young girls and women, selling them to the highest bidder. Natalia is a prisoner in her own home and little does she know, she has poked the wasps nest and Santos is not one to let go of this nosy little hacker….not when his constellation shines true and destiny is inevitable.

The Good:
In true Tessa Dawn fashion, Blood Web pulled me in and refused to let go. I listened to this read in less than 2 days because I could not stop listening. Full of drama, suspense, hot as hell sex, and vampires that make your heart race, make this read an adventure that everyone should go on.

The Bad:
Human trafficking is a hard pill to swallow and it’s hard to read about it, even in a book. It is inhumane and sick.

The Ugly:
The Dark Ones! Unforgiving, cold hearted, nasty to the bone, and they don’t care about anyone or anything. If they existed in real life, I would live far away from Dark Moon Vale!

Worth the Read?
I can’t say which of the 10 books in this series is my favorite, but, this one is very close. Tessa has a way of making her stories seem real. The history, the curse, the characters, and even the violence makes your heart beat faster. Each character is unique and each of their race to fulfill the requirements of the curse is a magnificent adventure.

I loved how Santos showed Natalia how he became who is and I loved her bravery and acceptance. His love for her was tangible and delightful. Her stubbornness was adorable and was not the least bit annoying. These two are pure magic together. How can love be born out of darkness? How can you live with knowing your own father is pure evil? How do you survive at the hands of a monster? This is an EBR Must Read! Solid 5 Star Read!!

Celestial cyber-love

Well, what can I say? I was absolutely overwhelmed by this book. Fabulous characters, lots of action, great dialog and an edge of your seat intensity. What else are you going to do but love a book when you have a gorgeous, powerful, super geek Vampire paired up with a stunningly beautiful cyber hacker? In this installment of the Blood Curse series we find the elder Olaru brother, Santos, finding his Destiny. His Destiny just so happens to be a super hacker on the internet and has been following him for years. She also is the daughter of a billionaire who makes his money mostly through human trafficking and she is virtually a prisoner herself in her father's fortress. But when the Celestial gods say it's time to claim your Destiny, what else can an honorable male of the House of Jadon do? He must rescue his Destiny, claim her and fulfill the requirements of the curse, despite all the other things going on that affect the House of Jadon which includes the kidnapping of another Destiny by the Lycans, hated enemy of the Vampyr. This is definitely not a dull or boring book. This one reaches out and grabs you, holding your attention through out only to slam dunk you in the end, leaving you panting for breath and wishing like hell the next book was right there ready for you to dive in. I need the next book right now, but alas, I have to wait. Some things in life are just not fair.

I'm about 85% down with this blood and it is breaking my heart. It's not that I'm not compassionate but I didn't want Keitero to go there and I have 15% more to determine whether I continue reading this wonderful author. This story was hard for me to read because I kept thinking "Oh God Please No". His story was so distracting I couldn't be happy or concentrate on Santos and this was his book not Says a. It's well written and it moves much as the other book by this author does. The book I was most excited about has hurt my heart and upset my stomach. Why her! Of all the places the story could go... Not her (heavy sigh). Dear God Please let the author change her mind in this last 15%.....PLEASE OH PLEASE.
I'm done and beyond frustrated, it's with a heavy sigh that I have to move on to another author to raise my spirits. The author that I referred to when trying to get other author's to write better has written an excellent book but the scenarios have left me blue. Now I'm afraid to start her Dragon realm series.
Ok folks this book is as well written as all her other books, I love the series so much that I'm acting childish in my response to the story not going the way I wanted it to go. If your riding the fense just go to the gate and check Tessa out, she writes a mean bad guy and this series makes you want to be a destiny

Book 10 of the Blood Curse series and now I have to wait forever for number 11. Jeez, I love this series.

This one was about Santos and Natalia, and what a story it was. Natalia’s father was some kind of evilness. He had a Fortress where he kept women for sale, and he kept them for years and years. He even had some of the women get pregnant, have the child, then raise the kid in the Fortress so he could sell them too. Holy shit! Eventually, the Fortress was broken into by the Dark Ones and 30-something of the women were killed and 40-something were saved. That’s a lot of women and children held captive. The asshole Luca made a ton of money for them.

His daughter Natalia was just as much a prisoner as the women and if Santos hadn’t saved her and “turned” her when he did she would have died at her “fiancé’s” hands. Wow, Oskar Vadovsky (a Dark One) was brutal.

It was nice “seeing” all the others again, his twin brothers Ramsey and Saxson, Nachari, Marquis, Kegan, etc. They’re always so exciting and brave and blood-thirsty.

There was one explicit sex scene and the F-bomb was used 15 times.

As for the narration: As always Eric G. Dove was awesome His women’s voices are great but his men’s voices are spectacular. Each and every one with their own distinctly special voices.

Blood Web is book #10 of the Blood Curse series. Captivating in every sense of the word. The Author Tessa Dawn spins a web so tightly that you will be unable to escape its sticky tendrils. Entwined with gut wrenching, in depth descriptions of fierce battles, rugged and utterly dangerous Vampire Warriors, Sentinels and Wizards and an untamable desire that will not be suppressed. The world wide web has never been more exposed and there is nowhere for his Destiny, his chosen mate to hide. This incredibly talented, dangerous and savagely handsome Vampire will move the heavens and earth if he must to find her and completely possess her. You will white knuckle this book and hold on with bated breath as the pages turn and suspend you into a world so complex with plots, twists and turns that even the most cunning of spiders or prey couldn’t find their own way out without the help of something or someone supernatural. Happy reading!

Loved it!! Amazing!! Can't wait for more !!!

The Blood Curse series just keeps getting way more exciting and amazing with each new release!!
I recently re-read the whole series before I read Blood Web and I'm so glad I did. I got to experience everything again like it was the first time and I fell even more in love with the series.
Blood Web kept me involved and engaged. It was so bloody with amazing fight scenes and great character development. I just love how Tessa writes the gore and sex scenes, it keeps u on the edge of your seat while panting. I can not wait for Brandens story, it is going to be epic. The next one is going to be great, I always wondered what happened to the prince's and wizard so hopefully we will learn more. I read this in a day or less because I could not put it down and I was late for an appointment because I needed to finish the book today. Thank you Tessa for another wonderful read

Extra Stars for this Series! Its amazing! Extra Stars for Eric Dove! (audible review)

Wow if you haven't read this series, I mean every book in order you are totally missing out on some amazing characters, writing and stories! This is one of my very favorite series!

This book was about Santos and Natalia. The story line and plot was great. It all flowed very well and was easy to follow along.

Let me tell you Natalia's dad was as psycho as a member of the House of Jaeger. He would have fit right in. I liked the internet stalking that was pretty fun. There is so much great dialogue throughout the entire book, love it! There is a sex scene, nicely written, not rated G not erotica either. Just nicely written.

These stories just don't disappoint.

As for the narration, it is amazing! It's Eric Dove and he does such a superb job. Everyone has their own voice, the women sound like women. His reading voice is soooo sexy. Ahhhh Love me some Eric Dove narrations.

This is the story of Santos, a brilliant sentinel who excellent in cyberspace. He has been followed through cyberspace for years. He had not looked at it as a threat, but in locating this little shadow it changed everything. Her father was a notorious criminal who dealt in human trafficking, prostitution, and no age was to young. Natalie was the daughter of Luca, and she hated what he did. She was kept on a leash as well, with the threat of all people being killed, if she rebelled in anyway.. She wanted freedom, but knew the evil consequences. Plus she had been promised to her father's main client ,in human smuggling. This book was excellent, and included evil vampires, Lucian, human torture, and smuggling, plus the sons of Jason fighting for the right. I really liked the characters on the side of right, and was pleased at the ending. I cannot wait for book eleven. This is a great paranormal series.5 stars.

Santos Olaru, one of the King’s sentinels has been following a woman on the internet and is intrigued by her hacking skills. He finally finds a way to meet her and discovers that she is his destiny, the human woman the celestial gods have determined to be his mate. He has a short amount of time to make her his, to conceive and have a child or risk losing his own life due to the blood curse. The curse makes the situation challenging enough but, Natalia is a prisoner to her father’s orders in order to insure the safety of the women he uses for human trafficking and slavery. There is always plenty of intrigue and attraction in this series but there is also darkness and evil. Santos and Natalia appear more evenly matched than some of the couples, which made the book even more enjoyable. She refuses to be sheltered and held back anymore and Santos is strong enough to encourage her growth.

Tessa has outdone herself with this one – it grips you from the first page and never lets go. The evil characters are monstrous. The heroes are bigger than life. And the destiny (female protagonist) was one of my all time favorites. This book literally has it all – emotion, love, romance, struggle, battles, twists-and-turns, triumph and overcoming, and Tessa’s wicked good dark writing. LOVED EVERY MINUTE

Another Great Addition

I love the latest addition to the Blood Curse Series. The characters were well developed and the romance was believable. Mrs Dawn has stayed true to the storyline. The plot is well crafted with just enough intimacy to augment the story. I like the revisiting of the beloved characters and the continued glimpses into their thoughts. I can't wait for the next book.

The books in this series never get old and only get better. This one will take you on a ride of emotions and leave you holding your breathe. There are bad ass vamps, scary as hell Dark Ones and humans of questionable character. Not to mention the race to fulfill ones destiny and secure immortality. This is a rollercoaster of a book.
