She begged for my help. And I can never resist a damsel in distress.

What is it about a beautiful woman who needs rescuing?
I just want to do my job for the Stone Devils MC. But one look at those liquid brown eyes and those plump lips forming the word “HELP,” and suddenly, I’m planning the violent overthrow of the last mafia scion in the city.
Marco Santorelli certainly deserves to be brought down. He’s a cruel, out of control monster. I’ve heard the stories of his appetities; I’ve seen it firsthand. He uses women like rags and has them killed when he’s bored of them.
I’m no saint myself, but a man in our world must have a code, and the Santorelli family has gone way too far. It’s fallen to me to bring them to justice.
But there will be no courts or lawyers involved. There’s only one way to settle Blood on the streets.
Precious Falyn has gotten herself mixed up in a violent game. If she wants to make it out of this intact, she’ll have to stay close and listen well.
But, as innocent as she may be, it turns out that she has lessons to teach me, too. About loyalty in the face of danger. Lust in the face of abuse. And love in the face of everything you know crashing down around you.
FALYN
Life has never been too kind to me. But just when I think I’ve finally found a little bit of freedom, I end up in a hell I never knew existed.
A drunk man in an alley chases me into an unmarked club. Somehow, I stumble onto a brightly lit stage… And into the arms of a man who says he owns me now.
A slave auction? I thought that kind of thing only existed in dark mafia movies.
But the mob boss I now belong to is as real as it gets. He orders me to do things. Sick, twisted things – just for his own savage pleasure. And if I refuse, he swears he’ll carve me up and bury me deep.
My only hope is the man in the club who saw me plead for rescue. He’s an outlaw biker with sins of his own. But something in his eyes gave me courage.
And in this dark and lawless world, sometimes courage is all we have.
STRONGLY emotive, sensuous and steamy a POWERFUL and serious MC Romance! “LAWLESS” by author Nina Park, triggered some heavy emotion for this reader/reviewer. It leans to the DARK side because of the seriousness of the events and issues which are illustrated to be EXACTLY what they are, EVIL. Sex slavery, sexual abuse, human slavery, and rape are all EVIL, and yet are portrayed with such honesty, empathy, and diplomacy, that the reality of this portrayal is both part of the story and an unavoidable, in-your-face call to action to bring light into that darkness. It is a darkness that allows the evil of slavery and human trafficking to fester and grow. And it has grown to the point that it has reached epidemic proportions with over two million children trafficked and sold into slavery in the United States. And even that number is only an estimation based on the US Government’s conservative number of 14 million slaves worldwide. In “LAWLESS,” when Author Nina Park shows that she has the admirable skill to not only describe the fear Falyn is feeling when confronted with being sold against her will but does so in a way that had my heart pounding and my hands and underarms perspiring profusely, THAT is real talent. Her prose is easy to read, perhaps another reason why I became so caught up in what Falyn was experiencing. Though compelling, the plot was a bit simplistic and stereotypical. Additionally, I was disappointed that more of the reality of being a sex slave for a period of time was not addressed in the last few chapters. The combination of bland plus the loss of opportunity cost a star on my evaluation. In “LAWLESS,” the overall characterization was both well-developed and at the same time disturbingly stereotypical. Park showed her readers what the characters were as people through their actions and dialogue which I loved! But when some came off a bit stylized it became difficult to relate to their artificial and unnatural persona. In contrast, Park’s ability to graphically described settings and show her readers the action through the point of view of both the hero and heroine make it no surprise that I liked this book and will give it a good recommendation. Author Nina Park shows real talent and I will purchase every one of her books – just so I can watch her grow into a GREAT writer! I was given an ARC copy of “LAWLESS” to prepare this honest, voluntary review of 4 out of 5 stars. Despite the areas of weakness cited, “LAWLESS” is still a SOLID romance that anyone who likes their alphas to have a heart as well as a Bad Boy member of a Motorcycle Club, then I must STRONGLY suggest you purchase your copy of “LAWLESS” today. Happy pages! 😉
I really liked this well written a little dark, intriguing, entertaining, drama romance. It has violence, romance, moments of angst, and likable characters with awesome chemistry. Falyn goes out with her friends at 19 but men buy her drinks. She meets a handsome man that runs away after dancing with her. Cade was suppose to check out an auction for his president of the Stone Devil MC. He stops into a bar to get a drink before the auction and gets pulled onto the dance floor by a beautiful women Falyn. After leaving the club she gets assulted and ends up running down an alley into a building. It happens to be the building for the auction an she ends up getting sold for sex slavery just before Cade spots her. The excitement of following this story was real page turner. A must read. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
I wanted to rate this higher but in the end, I felt like parts of this story needed work. I also felt like this story was just a cover for sex between the H/h in a dangerous situation. It was like, hey, let’s thrown in a bunch of trope pieces of storylines and spin it together using a lot of sexual situations.
The mafia guy was too easy to deal with and why did it feel like Cade and his president the only guys in the club? Why did the president let him handle something over himself? I don’t know- it was just odd. I also didn’t like how Cade kept getting sexual with Falyn while she was being kept as a sex slave for a mafia guy. Who never did anything with her- which I’m glad but was also like, what’s the point? Then Cade would promise he was working a deal to get her out constantly but why would the mafia dude be so stupid and let Cade back in and using this one prime catch of a slave? Wouldn’t he think that was fishy? Hmmmm...
First book I have read by Nina. I enjoyed reading this one. I love MC books and this one was very interesting. This shows the dark side of sex slavery. I absolutely love how Nina writes so well how Falyn feels about being sold into this situation. You can really feel what Falyn is feeling. I enjoyed how she describes her characters and the chemistry they have. This storyline has drama violence angst moments and romance. All great things that make a great MC book.I am hoping to get more from Angel a character that Falyn grows close to and rescues. This was a gripping enjoyable book from beginning to end. Can't wait to read more from this writer. She has gained a fan of her writing.
Falyn thinks she is finally getting her life together and then while running for her safety she ends up in an unbearable situation. Cade says he has come to her rescue or is she entering into a worse situation. Good Read.
I really liked this book. In typical MC fashion the storyline had drama, violence, angst moments and romance. It was an intriguing and entertaining read. Cade and Falyn were really likable characters, they fit together well and had an abundance of chemistry. However, my only grumble is cheating. Now I know Cade doesn’t actually cheat and they weren’t together yet, but Falyn was still in the picture. So therefore I have rate this story a 4 star instead of 5. I would just like to say that my review is my own personal preference and has nothing to do with the author or her storytelling. So overall it was a exciting and entertaining read, and can’t wait to read book two in the Stone Devils MC. A copy was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book with my honest opinion.
Not a bad read. This book had a decent story just no heart...it didn’t hold my attention, that said it wasn’t bad, just no connection to me. I received an ARC to review of this book.
While this book was really good, there was very little MC involvement until the very end and still not alot. But this book was a really good love story.
