About the author

My name is Morgan Daimler. I have had my poetry and prose published in different places including various anthologies, Circle magazine, Witches and Pagans magazine and Pagan Dawn magazine. Like the book on Irish deities by the same author, this one was a disjointed mess. Not the best flow between paragraphs and chapters, and just throwing lots of names out there with no clear indication on who these deities were.

I am so excited to finally be able to write a review for Manannan mac Lir, by Morgan Daimler! This book was amazing. I knew it was going to be chock full of brilliant, practical information, backed up with academia as Daimler is known to do and I wasn't disappointed at all.

I've learned so many about mac Lir from this little book - only 96 pages, and yet I feel as if enough was packed into here to help me add a significant amount of work to my practice, which has me excited and tired if I'm honest. I feel that while this book is a great starting point, it's honestly just a beginning at diving (pun intended) deeper into the myth and lore of this awe-inspiring deity.

5 Triquetras, highly recommend this one for the Irish polytheist, or anyone who wants to learn about an Irish deity that isn't as well known!

There is a lot of misinformation about Celtic Paganism out there, I often find myself grimacing at obvious misunderstandings or bold claims with lack of any citations, You will not find any of that in this book the few things I disagreed with the author usually was aware of the position I held, and showed why they disagreed, Can't find a better initiates book on Manannan, I can't recommend more highly.

As I have said before you can't go wrong with a pagan portals book and the author is a fave of mine, while they do not write with any wit or charm Morgan clearly knows her stuff and does the research as well as adding living reflections . This book really helped me to connect to this ancient God
