A book which would take a child into realms of mystical creatures is always fun to read. It is not frequent that one comes across such books which would take a reader to those wonderful places.

Selina, a sorceress married a human Harris spurning her betrothed Setanor and gave birth to triplets. Setanor saw this as treason, imprisoned Selina, sent Harris to Underworld, and the three kids afloat in the river of their destiny. After 13 years, the children are found, and this book encapsulates their discovery of their heritage and each other and their courage to fight Setanor and his army, along with two witches, Lilith and Eleanor and rescue their parents and reclaim their birthright.

Arcacia is the debut novel by author T. A. Barua. Sophie and her falcon Ghost are both innocent and enchanting. The story is a fast read following Sophie’s journey into Arcacia and coming into power. It has friendship, love, and relationships. It has fights and problems to make the book interesting. The book also has its entire list of imaginary beings like elves, globins, trolls, spectres, witches and wizards.

The plot lines of the story is great, delivery is a little inconsistent. I would have liked more excitement, more emotions, more development of the story to keep me hooked. The characters too felt one-dimensional.

Overall a good story, for both children and adults who are children at heart, willing to suspend logic.

Arcacia by T.A. Barua is a fantasy read for children. Well, with the title alone, it sounds like Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. The prologue was really catchy. The first chapters were nicely written and would surely grasp the readers easily.

World building is great too. It’s like the combination of Narnia and Harry Potter, added with some more unique elements from the author herself. The concept is really good. The plot would really be enjoyable to young readers. I admit that I enjoyed some parts of it.

The MCs are 13 year olds that would really be someone to look up to. Each of them possess a strong character. I actually remember the books I used to read when I was younger.

The story really is written good. However, maybe it’s just my copy or what. Some things weren’t edited that well. Some quotation marks and periods were misplaced which made it a little hard and confusing to read. If that were to be fixed, I know Arcacia would really be an enjoyable read.

This one’s a fast read. One can actually finish it in one sitting. Though I think there’s too much happening in this book and some things were just too fast. Still, I’d recommend this one for children, specially to those who are just starting to read. Overall, I rate Arcacia, 3 out of 5 stars!

Arcacia is a magical land, but it definitely is not at peace. The people have been forced into hiding or to deal with horrible circumstances awaiting the return of the royal triplets.

The first character we are introduced to is Sophie, a young girl who grew up in a London orphanage with a falcon named Ghost. She is then picked up by a young witch, Olivia, and taken to Arcacia where life is very different and war is in the works. Sophie is strong, determined, confident, trusting and prepared to do whatever is needed to help people.

Olivia is a kind girl and is very protective of Sophie. As soon as the two girls get to Arcacia, Olivia introduces Sophie to Eddie, an absolute sweetie who is great with animals, including a dragon named Taeragon! There is also Reeswyn, Olivia's younger brother, and Rowan, a girl who flicks between hateful and friendly.

These kids are on a quest to fight the Setanor, Lillith and Eleanor - the people responsible for imprisoning the triplets parents and allowing the babies to be separated - but there are plenty of setbacks the group have to face. I liked the bond between the characters and the resilience they had throughout the novel.

As for the story, the plot is interesting but I feel there was something lacking to make it WOW. I also felt the story was a bit jumpy as I did not think it had smooth transitions from one part of the story to the next, but it was fast paced which is great for young readers. I think it is something my 8-year-old self would have liked.

Arcacia was a quick, children’s fantasy read that I think would be really fun to read with the children in my life. The beginning had me hooked, and I very much enjoyed the world building.

I enjoyed the main character, Sophie. She is innocent, and as naive as a child should be. I think she would be really relatable to a child reading this story.

We have lots of fantasy beings, which I am all about. I love fantasy stories and this one didn’t disappoint in that aspect! There is a sense of adventure. I think it was just lacking some development to really hook me through the entire story.

Although exciting, I think the delivery was a little inconsistent. However, I really think that if I was looking at this from a children’s point of view, it would be such a fun story. I think this book would be really enjoyable if read as a family, and if you’re a child at heart, you’ll love it too.

I enjoyed the travel around Arcacia, a magical world of sorcerers, witches, wizards etc. If you are a fan of fantasy fictions, you should not miss this beautiful book. I would love to see Arcacia on screen some day.

Initially I found some words hard to go with, but thanks to my kindle which has an on board dictionary. After few pages it was a smooth read. Arcacia could be a great gift for any teenager who loves books. The story has children, witches, dragons and some magic that can hold the breath of a child reader. Every character is beautifully developed to find a place in the reader’s imagination.

Arcacia kept me engaged throughout the read, but after the first half, somewhere I was able to assume the story. But that is fine. It may not happen with every other reader. Author T. A Barua has a magical narrative skill which deserves appreciation.

This was a good, quick fantasy read. I really enjoyed the world building and descriptions. I thought the characters could have been written a bit better. The emotion wasn't quite there. Overall I enjoyed the plot and it was a nice read.

the Story was promising however the horrible editing made it a difficult read. lots of grammatical errors. punctuation missing or misplaced. Just awful. I honestly just skimmed that last few chapters to get to the end.
