As Ayla continues to hone her craft of fighting and perfecting the use of weapons with the help of her mentors, Evan and Karina, she continues searching for both the vampire who turned her into the hybrid she's become, and head vampire Linden, the one responsible for ripping her family apart. Once she locates her assailant, she comes to realize he may not be as easy to kill as she thought, but is in no way giving up. She tirelessly stalks him, which leaves her little time for much else-including a love life. Unfortunately, though, neither Ryder nor Kellan are willing to give her up. But Ayla has no time for relationships, as she has a much bigger agenda: Finding Linden and ending him. Through a vision, she finds out not only that Kellan is betraying her, but might just be the one to lead her right to Linden. The Lunar Curse is book 2 in The Ayla St. John Chronicles, and is for readers 18+.

Ayla had done it again and taken me to a different place when I most needed it. I continue to follow her with her adventures. She is also getting it down and gonna be ready. You also see Evan and Karina on their quest in helping her in this. A love life still tries to squeeze in but on what time? This continues on keeping you to the grind with them but also the danger still comes at them. With a twist in here you will be thrown a time or two. With this all being so thrilling good thing there is a breath before the next one comes.

Loved this second book in the Lunar Curse.
Ayla discovers she loves her new job Killing Vamps (only the bad ones) and gets some
Hands on training so she is ready for any situation she may be forced into.
Kellan plays a bigger part weighing on her conscience and makes her double
Guess at times. I love Ayla’s Qualities she’s tough, determined but at the same time vulnerable.
Fantastic read!! Can’t wait for more +++++

I really enjoyed book one The Lunar Effect. This book picked up where that one left off.

Ayla is still looking for the vampire that attacked her. She has the help of her friends Evan and Karina. She is learning how to embrace the changes in herself.

Kellan is a mystery that I want to learn more about. Is he the guy for Ayla?

My heart broke for Ryder in this book. He loves Ayla. But their lives have been going in opposite directions for a long Time now. Can he find a way to keep Ayla by his side?

I love that we get to see more of Sanja, Kellan, Beckett, Aden and Ryder. I can’t wait to read book three to see what happens next.

The Ayla St. John Chronicles are fast becoming one of the best series I have read. Ayla and her crew of friends (and enemies) have me captivated. In The Lunar Curse, Ayla is still honing her skills and finds madness and mayhem as is her usual. This book will have you reading way past your bedtime, on your lunch break and every free second you get. It is a true page turner. I am always left waiting anxiously for the next installment. I hope C.J. keeps this series going for a longtime to come. If you like the Dresden files I think you will like The Ayla St. John Chronicles as well. Can't wait to see what Ayla gets into next!!!!!!!!!

Coming into her own and honing her skills, Ayla is on the hunt for Linden - the vampire who attacked her family, turned her into a hybrid, and killed her brother. She's still juggling Kellan and Ryder, trying to find her way to love while learning just who she can trust, who she can't, and who's betraying her. There is one in her circle who is playing both sides of the fence - helping her and helping the one Ayla is determined to kill and revenge her brother.

The second book in this series is just as good as the first. Time to get your one-click finger ready and your Kindle charged—this one's hard to put down.

Book 2

Best read in sequence although there are condensed flashbacks here and there to refresh the story from book 1. This continues our vampire slayer quest to seek retribution again at those evil doers. She finds the vampire who cause her hybrid identity and encounters a demon as well distinguish the specific smells of each supernatural. She trains with married couple Evan and Karina to take out the bad vamps. It's interesting and edgy. I'm eager to read book 3 to see where our slayer is heading because she has her to meet 'dear ole dad'. There are some editing/proofreading issues.

Ayla St. John is a vampire hunter. She is looking for her attacker and brothers killer. Kellan is an old vampire and things are getting heated. Ayla has a lot of friends helping her along the way but she still struggles with her conscience. Really enjoyed her sense of humor and the sexy connection to Kellan. Can’t wait to see where the story leads.

The lunar curse

While this book certainly kept up the intrigue from the first one there was a huge plot hole in this story. Ayla and Beckett both said they didn’t know exactly what Leland did for linden but that was one of the first things we found out about him in the first books. It didn’t ruin the story by any means but it was annoying.

Oh Ayla

Ayla St. John still has a lot to learn. She has wonderful friends, co workers and a boyfriend. Unfortunately, she still has her list of vampires that need to die.
I loved this book and can't wait for the next installment.

A great read

I love love love this series. A lot of Ayla's retorts are childish but I still love her character. A definite page turner. I think this plot is bigger than what it is letting on to be. I

Okay it is SO getting better apparently. And it actually reminds me a little of Buffy the vampire slayer only different (obviously). Love the chemistry! Love the scenes. The writing. The Scooby gang. LOL. I just love it all and it definitely deserves a 5 star rating now.

This journey between Kellan and Ayla is so sexy, interesting and wonderful to follow. I can’t wait to see where their story will take them, I just adore Kellan, he is a complex and deep character and I want to learn more about him.
