"Some Promises Remain Incomplete" written by Biplab Kr. Das is a collection of five short stories each with a different taste to offer to its readers. If one ignites anger then another is sure to inspire; and while one leaves a sad effect another one is bound to heighten our curiosity, drenching us in the sweats of suspense. But what's common in all the stories are some wonderful lines that leaves behind a beautiful messages for the readers to discover the fountain of joy in their life.
The first story is about a girl who goes missing: the cruelty of the act and the emotional crisis is bound to bring tears to the eyes. The second one is an inspirational journey of a jobless guy who became the best-selling author. The third revolves around how a decision, a journey or a special night can change our definition of life. The fourth story is a thriller which is not only filled with suspense and the power to blow one's mind, but also has a strong message. The last story, through which the author lit a master stroke, is the best as it beautifully brings out the theme that everything that appears to the eyes is not true and sometimes the truth is hidden behind a large black curtain. Plus, the story has everything: inspiration, emotion, suspense and a strong message.
All in all, each of the five stories is woven in a simple yet engaging tone which is sure to keep the readers engrossed till the very end.
