This is an excellent children's story by Nan Doerksen that will interest older readers, too. This historical fiction story is very authentic in its depiction of Fredericton, New Brunswick, from a bygone era. It is filled with heart-warming characters and their stories.

A book for kids or anyone from Fredericton. Set in 1819 each chapter gives a little look in to what Fredericton was like back then. A short interesting read.
