River's End Ranch #54

Teaching Tamlyn

Rate this book
Tamlyn is just settling into a quiet routine in her job as wardrobe supervisor for the TV show on location at River’s End Ranch. Her Aunt Corinne’s recent marriage has left her world quiet as she heals from her altercation with a drunk driver that broke her ankle. Laying low is what’s on her mind, but she doesn’t have any idea how much healing she has yet to come.

Bradley Holbrook’s world, on the other hand, has been turned upside down. How is a football coach supposed to wrangle middle schoolers in his sister’s drama summer camp and get Romeo and Juliet on stage in two weeks’ time after she goes into labor early and asks for his help?

He certainly can’t see how. Until he meets Tamlyn, and finds his way to asking for help. Can they pull this off together without ruining both of their lives for good?

Reviewed at Romance Is Ageless

We met Tamlyn a few books ago in her aunt’s romance, Second-Chance Sweethearts featuring Allen & Corinne. At that time Tamlyn had just recently been in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. Teaching Tamlyn is a heartwarming, lovely romance on its own. It is also a very good look at how anxiety, panic attacks or delaying facing a trauma full on can be for anyone.

Bradley and Tamlyn are sort of tossed together when he steps in for his sister, who is on bed rest due to a complicated pregnancy, to put on a school play. Tamlyn was part of a group of folks from the TV cast and crew working at the Ranch who were doing a presentation for the kids who will be taking part in the play. She certainly wasn’t expecting anything remotely romantic at this show and tell, but soon events would play out that had Tamlyn and Bradley spending a lot of time together.

What I have always loved about the River’s End Ranch series is that beneath the main romance of each book is another life lesson, subtle, never “in your face” but there to add to what the characters are dealing with in their lives at that time. Without giving spoilers away, Tamlyn is dealing with a past event in her own way, but that’s changing and it will take a very special man to help her heal and see the truth that she’s avoiding. I loved this couple, they are realistic and believable, plus the kids just add another fun layer to their romance. I’d definitely recommend Teaching Tamlyn to any Romance reader who enjoys a good love story and relatable characters.

Volunteering leads to finding love.

This is a wonderful story filled with a variety of characters. Bradley is out of his comfort zone when he agrees to take over summer drama camp for his sister. Add in a goat incident that made me laugh out loud. Tamlyn comes to the rescue. They make a great team. Bradley convinced her to face her fear & stands by her side. This is when they realize they love each other.

This is such a great story. Tamlyn and Bradley are working together to save his sisters play. Tamlyn is recovering from an accident but while she thinks everything is all right she suffers from anxiety. Bradley just needs help with his sister’s Romeo and Juliet play.
It is a great mix of funny moments, who needs Jaclyn when there’re two teenage matchmakers around, and some serious issues. The message during the trail made me cry.
A great story in the River’s End Ranch series again.

Great characters and plot.

Tamlyn is the costume director for the tv series shooting at River's End Ranch. Several months before she was in a car accident and badly hurt. Bradley is the coach for the school in the town near the ranch. His sister, is the drama coach and teacher. His sister was putting on Romeo and Juliet with the middle school. She is pregnant and ends up on bed rest. Her brother is tapped to replace her. Comedy and romance begins.

Another River's End Ranch Book to make you smile.

After a few stories left we wishing for more personality, this book delivered! While the story really started in another book, Cindy did a wonderful job of picking it back up and giving the reader a full story as well as a satisfying conclusion that gives our heroine a HE A with the right man for her. Thank you Cindy. :-)

I loved it!!

Cindy Caldwell is great! She kept this story so I interesting, I couldn't put it down. Panic attacks are no laughing matter, but the way she talked about it was so well done. Loved the characters of Tamlyn and Bradley.

Bradley Holbrook’s / Tamlyn
A history teacher/coach and an accident victim are thrown together dto put on Romeo and Juliet in a wild west setting. Toss in what seems like 300 teens and do we get to the final curtain call?

Teaching Tamlyn

An enjoyable read. A nice story about a coach who becomes a drama teacher to help his pregnant sister. He meets a costume designer on a middle school field trip . He helps her work through some mental issues stemming from an automobile accident.

It's a nice story but not as exciting as others.

I found this story to be a bit boring up to the last two chapters. I've read all of the River's End Ranch series thus far. This one just didn't hold my interest and took a lot longer to read.
