Claire Riley delivers another brutal, harsh and dark tale of love in the world of her MC.
This one takes place much as the last one, with a different point of view and perspective of the little things leading up to The Reverand and Hardys schemes. It most certainly delivers little tidbits to wet our curiosity!
But the real story here is Battle and his leading lady. A lady who is already another bikers woman. Not only that, Ripped is the president of another biker gang that has dealings with the Highwaymen.
I don't think that was ever going to stop Battle in the long run, another brothers old lady, but his struggle was real. He tried to ignore the pull, the electric currents that arched between them ever time they touched. She certainly did not make it easy on him! The attraction was very mutual. Even if she ended things with Ripped, it was never going to be a fairytale happily ever after for them. Not in their world.
Battle would fight tooth and nail for her and whatever future they might have together, even he ended up dead.
“I feel shit for her,” I finally admitted. “Real shit that burns in my gut. I can’t just forget that and walk away from her. One taste of her was always gonna be my undoing, but I had to have her all the same.”
This quote perfectly sums up the story, and was one of my favorites. I finished it in one sitting , so it might be an emotional read, but it was pretty fast paced. In perfect keeping with Claire's style.
Some people may struggle with some of the harsher aspects of the story, but they should already know that going in if you know Claire Riley at all. Well done Ms Riley, another Nomad bites the dust!

Battle is the third book of the highwayman series by cee cee Riley and I knew instantly that I was going to love it, the cheeky rugged wall of muscle that was battle held my attention from the first page.
Wanting something and taking it are two very different things and one of them can be very dangerous. Raw unapologetic attraction isn't something than can be helped but it is something that can get you killed.
This book held my attention right to the very end, another amazing book.. I'm slowly loving Cee Cee Riley❤

Battle, Battle, Battle. Sighs..... where have you been all my life?!?
Omg I can’t even tell you how much I loved this book. This book is just EVERYTHING!

Battle is book 3 in Claire C. Riley new MC series called The Devil's Highwaymen Nomads. If you read and liked her first series The Devil's Highway MC, then you would love this new story. This's a spin-off series featuring the Devil's Highwaymen Nomads and including cameos from some of your sexy favorite Highwaymen. This is the story of Battle and Quinn Bailey. This installment is fast pace and full of drama, action, sexy bikers, strong women, war, love and so much more. Book three in the Nomads series and this I think is my favourite so far. As much as I adored Sketch and his filthy mouth and zero filter, Battle and Quinn's story just gripped me from beginning to end.
Battle takes us to another chapter in the Devils Highwaymen clubs, down to where Hardy is president and the club itself is struggling to maintain it's hold with shipments going missing and something dodgy going on with the Reverend. We start with a clubhouse scene setting up the camaraderie between the brothers (an aspect I love in Claire's writing) with a fellow club the Burning Eights, the President of the Burning Eights discussing with Battle his woman and her reluctance to becomes his Old Lady officially. Of course this clues you into to the story that is heading your way.
I have zero triggers when it comes to books, but for some cheating is a trigger, no one party is guilty, there is straying ways all over the place so for me it just adds to the complexity and drama of the story; but for others this may be a no go.
Battle was devoted to Quinn from the moment he laid eyes on her, their connection instant and their chemistry was fire! The Forbidden romance written in the rules of their clubs; but love is love and where their is love their is war......
This novel kept me craving all things Battle and Quinn, the complexity of their relationship was addictive, with the darker side of club life really coming into play. Twists and turns a plenty that held me on the edge of my seat. I loved, loved, loved fighter and Gauge with their loyalty to Battle and their honour to stand for what's right.
I really don't want to say too much and I am purposefully trying to keep things brief because this book is best read blind. Rest assured the romance aspect is stand out, Battle is a man longer for his Queen and will do anything to have her, and that right there is swoon worthy material. Quinn is a fierce woman who has had a crappy run of things and thought settling was good enough until she met Battle. You can't who you love, and this really is an MC tale of star crossed lovers filled with all the angst, hot sex and kick ass drama!

Well I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in this series but this one not so much. Let me say that cheating is not usually a hard trigger for me. Cheating occurs in everyday life and I base my opinion on what caused it and how did the couple handle it. Was there neglect, etc and did they learn/grow stronger and did the cheater ask for forgiveness. In this story Quinn could have left at any time. Furthermore she had committed to being an old lady to another brother. For Battle it was love at first sight and Quinn pursues him until he gives in (not excusing him at all). The "bad guy", Quinn's old man is described as a good guy and is a friend of the H. Then there are descriptions of him being a bad guy. I got confused over that but finally understood one thing, Ripped loved Quinn until the end. Quinn and Battle reminded my of two very young immature people who don't stop and think who they are hurting, it's just give me what I want. This is the first negative review I have ever written about cheating in a book.

Really didn't like this book or the storyline.
I normally don't mind cheating, I really don't. But in this book it was sickening, why?
Well mc life you dont mess with another brothers old lady full stop. Its sacrilege. Rugged said he loved quinn, and shed accepted that role. Yeah I get the attraction she n battle had, but they should have stayed away from each other till she left him. She didn't. In the end they cheated, they disrespected the rules, their brothers and ultimately rugged ends up dead and made out to be bad to justify the behaviour when all along we'd been told what a good guy he was.
Nope sorry these two mcs are pathetic immature and selfish n I cant read about idiots like this. I just felt really bad for rugged who was treated like shit by quinn, and ended up dead.
Battle I understand it was jnsta love, but fuck me he let himself n his brothers down. No respect for him at all.

These two like playing with fire and they are in the worst place to do it. This biker brotherhood is full of bad a** territorial guys. Most of them not so trustworthy or respectful of women. When Quinn decided on crossing the doors to a biker's world, she knew her life wasn't going to be easy. What skipped her mind, was that she would be belonging to a man. The wrong man.
From the moment Battle saw Quinn he wanted to own her. But having her will require a big sacrifice. It's a no brainer for him, he is running on feelings. A lot is happening in his club. The ground under it seems shaky. Safe and trustworthy would not be the words to describe it. But he still has his friend Fighter covering his back.
I'm intrigue by what comes next with Fighter's story. Some questions need answering and I like getting a bit more clues to the mystery with each book.

The story of Battle and Quinn was fast paced, full of raw emotions, drama, sexy hunky bikers, kick-ass women and much more. It's a must read MC series.
The connection between the main characters were evident but they were playing with fire. The situation could blow up in their faces. A biker does not look at the prospective Old Lady of another biker, let alone the president of another club. To say bikers are territorial would be an under-freaking-statement. And boy does both Battle and Ripped proves it.
What can a girl do when she's stuck between two good men? She obviously go for the one her heart can't live without. Both would have to sacrifice huge. I loved the loyalty and the bitterness of this story. Who will win the Old Lady, you ask? Go 1-click this bad boy right now.

These books get better and better as we go along, loved battle he's the ultimate alpha male completely swoon worthy.
Quinn should be someone who he stays away from, nothing good will come from something that should be forbidden within the oath of the brotherhood but as they say you can't help who you fall for and with the strength of these feelings nothing's going to stand in battles way.

Woah,
I think this one has to be favorite out of this series, I really enjoyed Battle's story.
I did find this one a little emotional. but what a story. I was hooked from the first page and I couldn't put it down. if you love the first 2 books in this series you are going love this one another well-written book by this author. Can't wait for the next in the series.

Dark, hot, captivating and emotional.
My favourite so far, i cant get enough of Claire's intense hot bikers.
An epic story of forbidden love in the mc, its full of drama and action.
Battle and Quinn have raw love thats hard to find and it doesn't come easy for them especially when Quinn is already spoken for and by a president of another club.
A must read series, cant wait for fighters book.

I can’t read this series quick enough. Each book that comes out I fall in love with ,the main characters are always strong alpha males but Battle has a soft side that just made him adorable.This story line was great to Iv read a lot of MC books and they can become samey but this was one I had never read before.so looking forward to the rest of the series hopefully it’s not to long a wait I need my fix

These books get better and better as we go along. I really loved battles story found this one rather emotional. I was gripped from the very first page. Battle was really womanizer until the unexpected happened he found that special someone well sparks flew along with plenty of fits.
I've read alot of mc books and cees is by far the best she as a way of drawing you in and leaves you wanting more l loved this series

I like this book and I like this series a lot.
What bugs me is that certain things don't make sense compared to the ride or die series that this stems from. I'm also not a fan of the editing.

Well I know where Battle got his name. He would do anything for Quinn, and isn't afraid of anything. He is willing to risk it all for her, just for the chance to give her all he can.
