This book has been nominated for the 2019 Elgin Award. Rating and review to follow. Let it be said, this was fun!

Alien invasion by an avian sentient race.

I don't have much else to say about this collection actually. It was a gas to read, very funny and enjoyable to read. Not really a contender for the Elgin Award, I'm afraid, but recommended none-the-less. The poems all hang together to tell a story, so it's a little more compelling reading than most collections.
