Rate this book
After losing their father to a corrupt police officer’s negligence, the Massaro sisters harbor deep distrust of law enforcement. They do their best to keep their psychic abilities secret, but meddling outsiders with good intentions pop up at the worst of times. Keeping a low profile is now more important than ever; years of red tape have delayed their wrongful death suit against the city, and twenty-one-year-old Giselle Massaro is about to lose her younger sisters to foster care. But when a neighbor shows up with an impassioned plea to find a kidnapped girl, Giselle cannot refuse to use her incredible gift before the kidnappers make good on their threats, even if it means putting her family back under the scornful eyes of the local police.

I write about the average Joe with his boy-next-door charm and his steak ‘cueing skills. The guy who takes out the trash—after you ask, who wears a shirt with a spot on it to lunch with your mother but then charms her socks off, who forgets to water your favorite house plant but then buys you flowers. You know and love this guy: the Rick Grimes’, the Stu Redmans, the Kyle Reeses of the world who, when faced with seemingly insurmountable odds, rise to the occasion and save you, the dog, and the day. Okay, so Kyle Reese died in the end, but my heroes do not!

You can read my books with my promise that only the bad guy will meet his deserved end in a bad way. Likewise, I do not write about anti-heroes. There are no Tony Sopranos, no Dexter Morgans, no Ray Donovans in my books. So find a comfy spot and pour yourself a glass of wine, cup of tea, or mug of hot chocolate, whatever suits your fancy, and read one of my books knowing you’ll find a hero you can fall in love with and a heroine you wish you could be.

What a great introduction to a group of sisters who all have some sort of psychic abilities. All but one is still school age and the oldest Giselle Massaro is carry the load of trying to keep her younger sisters out of foster care, financially supporting them and keeping their abilities secret from the world. These abilities are what got their father killed and why they are suing the police department for wrongful death.

Along with introducing all the sisters we also get to see them in action when a mother begs them to help her find her kidnapped daughter.

Very engaging story and you immediately fall in love with all four sisters.

Excellently crafted!

I'm a big fan of paranormal romance and this book is thrilling. I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. Actually, it doesn't matter which genre you favor, I can't think of anyone I know who wouldn't love this story. And the characters are so fascinating. Wow! I give it a big thumbs up.

Wow, this was a short book I thought I would try before I purchased the rest in the series, just to see if read as good as it sounded in the blurb on Amazon. I was pleased to find out that it was an excellent intro to a new series and I will be purchasing the other sisters' books when available.

Deadly Vengeance - Book 1 of Deadly Sight Series by Ava Bradley
My thoughts:
This novella sets up the back story and introduces the 4 sisters who all have a psychic ability; the main event takes place over the course of a day. The oldest sister at 19 is introduced to her love interest and we get a glimpse of the kind of life the sisters have and what the future may hold for them. I liked the story telling style, I liked the characters, the story arc had promise, overall I enjoyed reading this very short story. 3 stars.
In the next full length books in the series each sister will have their own Happy Ever After.

Ready for more

Lovely story about sisters, psychics, and romance in a crime fighting setting. This is a short story that is a teaser for next book in series. I'm downloading it now.

This author writes professionally. No typos or bad spelling. She is great with dialogue, character development, and pacing. I could never give a 5 star review to a book that wasn't written in a professional manner.

I’ve read this and Corinne’s book in this series and I gotta be honest… they’re not great.

The motivations of our characters are stupid and don’t make sense, the anti cop (coming from someone who’s anti cop) reasoning doesn’t make sense. It’s anti cop but stemming from a super privileged beautiful white fragility kinda way, not in a systemic racism and police brutality kinda way.

Family love, drenched in psychic gifts, and splashed with suspense!

A fast read introducing a group of sisters with psychic gifts dragged into a dangerous kidnapping, launches this series from arthur Ava Bradley! From the beginning it is emphasized that family is most important! It will be very interesting to see where this writer chooses to go from here!

Fast and fun!

Really enjoyed this fast story. Ellie was a good character as were her sisters. When they get asked to use their gifts to help find a kidnapped victim things move along quickly. Some action with a touch of romance and some psychic abilities. Loved it!

What a ride!

This is first book by this author that I have read and I am now on a quest for more. I could not put it down! I liked the sarcasm of the teenage characters as it was so accurate. Looking forward to more stories of the Massaro girls

A good story, but no surprises.

The book was well written. It was also very predictable. An easy read but entirely too short. I will probably buy the next book to find out if a full length story will hold my interest.

fairy tale mystery

Interesting look at young Latinas, gifted with special otherworldly sight, which makes them the subject of terrible prejudices. And a rich white girl kidnapped, who needs theirs help.

Would have been way better if it was fleshed out for more than 100 pages. Everything felt rushed and pat.

'Deadly Vengeance' was one of those books that pulled me in from the beginning. I literally could not put it down. The story line was well written and well played out. Full of drama, secrets and great characters. The Massaro sisters are awesome. I love their bond and their gifts. I can't wait to read more. A great add to your tbr list. Recommended read.
